I needed a tooth implant. Just completed, it was both successful and very interesting. Dr. Dalal realized that I was interested in the technology associated with the procedure and explained in detail every step from the extraction of the broken tooth to the incredible scanning technique to model the new one to its installation. What great technology, "bedside manor" and... it didn't hurt.

Dr. Dalal was absolutely fantastic. He and his staff were caring and patient and took the time to make sure I knew every step of my treatment plan. I have never had a dentist say anything positive about my dental care, always pointing out what I'm not doing; Dr. Dalal said it's obvious I care for my teeth and his praise made me feel accomplished. I HATE the dentist and never want to go back after all the negative responses of do this not that and today was the first time I've looked forward to my next appointment. I highly recommend Downtown Dental! ***Update*** One month later and I've gotten my crown and a deep cleaning. Dr. Dalal and his assistant did phenomenal with my crown. I cannot even tell it's in my mouth. A few days of sensitivity from working around in my mouth was all. Amy, their hygienist, was just as fantastic and gentle while cleaning buildup from quarantine missed cleanings. She took the time to show me new techniques and recommended a better toothbrush. Even she complimented the care I'd been trying to keep up while not seeing the dentist. I cannot recommend this office highly enough!!

Overbooked under staffed , bad service. Terrible location If you are a few minutes late they kill your appt, and push you out months for the next. If you are on time you sit forever to get seen.... Awful

The hygienists and dentists here are very good. But the front desk just canceled my appointment (after I had driven 30 minutes to get there) because I had not responded to the appointment confirmation text. The body of the text said nothing about canceling the appointment and I thought it was a friendly reminder. I have made an appointment with another dentist who doesn't have that policy.

I came here for dental implants and dental cleaning. The people who works there are very friendly. Especially Mr. Nish ( my dentist) went beyond with his service and helpfulness. He is very comforting, passionate, friendly and professional. I would highly recommend for anyone.

Made an appointment with this office. Took time to go to our appointment. We traveled 30 minutes, Then we were told they did not accept our insurance after being assured that they did. Not good business.

This is the Best dental practice I have ever been to - caring, courteous, accommodating and professional. I had a chipped tooth that I thought would need a crown after three repairs in the last 2 years. Dr Nowadly fit me in and came up with a novel repair that should be more durable than the previous three and allowed me to escape a crown. Forgoing the substantial revenue opportunity of the crown is a testament to their commitment to their patents best interest. Thank you Downtown Dental! Update: Just had a similar experience. Can't say enough about the excellence of this practice.

For anyone looking to do any aesthetic cases in Charlottesville, Dr. Nish Dalal is THE dentist you need to schedule a visit with. I have been insecure with my teeth since I was a child and did not take care of them as well as I wanted in my adolescent days. I have multiple fillings that makes it embarrassing to smile or laugh without covering my mouth. I have been working in the dental field for over 6 years and even with all that experience, I was reluctant to get veneers. That was all until I scheduled a consultation with Dr. Nish and his welcoming staff members. He eloquently communicated the process with me and did not use any terminology that I did not understand. He walked me through the process with his digital technology and I was able to see what the final product would look like before we begin anything. This instilled a tremendous amount of confidence and allowed me to have faith in his abilities as a dentist. The entire procedure was faster than I expected, and the recovery was as painless as I could have asked for. I was off ibuprofen in a little over a day. There was slight sensitivity in the area that was worked on but Dr. Nish reassured me that it was expected and normal after the procedure. It eventually faded away in a couple of days like he had stated. As you can see in the photos I attached, we carefully selected the size, shape, color, and characterization of teeth that would best match my face. There is a lot of attention to detail and how natural it looks. He educated me on how specific features of the veneers will complement certain characteristics of my face, lending to a more natural appearance. I essentially get compliments anytime I take off my mask and smile! This newly found confidence has enabled me to laugh without covering my mouth and proudly smile without hesitation. I now only trust him with my teeth and recommend him to all my friends and family members. I strongly and enthusiastically recommend Dr. Nish Dalal for anyone that is looking for an expert cosmetic dentist!

They did not inform us in any sort of formal way that our long term dentist of 10 years had moved out of state. They messed up by putting my payment on another patient's account and giving me their receipt, which is a HIPAA violation. Also, they cancelled our appointment when we were running 7 minutes late due to terrible rush hour traffic. We will be searching for a new practice.

We express our deep gratitude to Dr. Nish Dalal, his assistant Linda, and all the support and administrative staff of Downtown Dental for their compassionate, competent and calm response to our unexpected and extraordinary dental hour of need. We had emergency needs consisting of a broken bridge and a broken crown. We thought we would be examined and given another appointment to have the repairs made but Dr. Dalal surprised us both by fixing both the bridge and replacing the crown with a brand new one, even though it was nearing the end of the working day. Even greater than this immediate response was the quality of the care, which put us both completely at ease, answered all our questions, and efficiently performed the needed dentistry. Dr. Dalal has a passion for his work that we have rarely encountered in a helping professional and is extremely respectful of patient's concerns and wishes. We cannot recommend him and Downtown Dental enough. Chuck and Jan Ketchel

This is the worst dentist office I've ever encountered. went there for cleaning and sensitivity on one of my molar tooth about a month ago, Hygienist Kelly did excellent job for the cleaning. I'm very happy about it. Regards the sensitivity on my molar tooth because a very small portion of that molar tooth somehow suddenly disappeared a couple of weeks ago before this visit, since then I felt sensitivity for even room temperature water. Dr. N. D. looked and did a small filling on that tooth. Was expecting the sensitive going away. But after I got home, the sensitivity is still there. Then I called back the next day, and went back there a few days later. Got there 1:30pm, they started afternoon work at 2, his assistant asked me in then I was sitting there waiting for more than 15 minutes, no one showed up. The assistant is nowhere to be seen, so I asked another lady who is sitting behind the check out window, then after a few more minutes Dr N. came in. he looked my tooth and stating there's nothing he can do. He doesn't recommend more drilling for the tooth. Which I understood, but still I try to tell him I was expecting the sensitive going away after the filling, he said it may take long time to not feeling sensitivity. Then somehow the lady I was asking favor for stepped in the room as his assistant. While Dr N. and I was in the middle of talking, she somehow jumped in our conversation and try to tell me use some strong fluoride agency, which I don't concur, it's clear the sensitive was caused by the small portion of that tooth disappearance, nothing else is wrong with it. But the attitude she speaks just offenses me, I tried to say thank you for her opinion. Because I was in the middle of talking with Dr. N., she did not want to stop, try to tell me she is a licensed hygienist. Come on, why I should care about you'r a licensed hygienist or not, you never looked at my tooth, nor did my cleaning and helped for the filling, why you just can offer your opinion that I did not ask for. I just need you to be quiet. I know talking more with this Doctor is wasting my time, I left. And wrote complaint email to office, no one even responded the complain from office, instead Dr. N. sent me letter in the mail to ask me seek dental service somewhere else almost a month later. It's been a month now, the sensitive still there. such worst service I had, you think I will go see you again? Worst doctor I've ever had for my entire dental service so far. and this office does not train their office staff to be polite and have basic manner, the lady who jumped in our conversation had not have basic manner at all. and this doctor just wear the same pants with her. Such an unpleasant experience. If you want to get your teeth cleaned, go find hygienist Kelly, she is professional. If you need addition service to your tooth, you better avoid this doctor to save your valuable time and your money.

This was one of the best dental experiences I've ever had. The doctor was great and it wasn't a painful visit (usually I'm scared to death to go to the dentist.)

I think the offic is great. Saw Dr. Nish and he listened to what my concerns were and explained what his findings were and how he would be addressing them and what I needed to do. His assistant was great the hygienist was great. They have modern technology. He fixed the tooth I was having cold sensitivity in, and the molar I had problems with. I got my crown the same day at the office. Everyone was super. Thank you so much!!!

I first met Dr. Dalah at VCU dental clinic in Richmond. He took over my care from a dentist who had moved on to private practice. I was having implant work done, a upper arch as well as implants on my lower jaw. This man is Sharp. He is on the cutting edge of this technology and has shown me his lab and explained, in detail ,procedures so that a layman, such as I, could understand what the future held for me and the choices that he could provide. He is a excellent dentist, a specialist, and a even better person, and a friend. Downtown Dental is a great place to go . He's there.

Thanks to Dr. Stump and Cheyenne for the time and precision taken to ensure that my crown was a perfect fit and match. I was hesitant to have it done, as it's the first major dental work that I've needed. Overall, it was as pleasant as it could be. The office protocols in place due to Covid-19 made me very comfortable. Both of my appointments were easy to schedule and ran on time. Dr. Stump explained the entire process before beginning and as she proceeded through each step. She answered all of my questions and both she and Cheyenne put me right at ease. My temporary crown fit perfectly as does my permanent one. Kudos to these dental professionals for a job well done.
