Charlotte C. Wiedenman is an eleventh generation South Carolinian with deep ties to Aiken. Her fourth great uncle, was the second dentist to practice in Aiken. She has a bachelors degree from Colorado State University. She earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine is from the Medical University of South Carolina, in Charleston. Dr. Wiedenman completed an internship with the American Dental Association in State Government Affairs and served on the Joint Commission for National Dental Examinations. At MUSC, she was presented with the Pierre Fauchard Academy award for excellence in clinical and academic dentistry. In addition to her clinical experience, she has worked with dental manufacturing companies and has extensive experience in the dental insurance and dental benefits industry having worked as an executive with Delta Dental.
Her favorite part of practicing is finding ways to calm patients and to offer good news. Her husband works at the Savannah River Site. They have three children. Dr. Wiedenman is an historic preservation advocate, a history lover, a gardening junkie, and a tireless hostess. Her diversity of interests and fascination with learning new things from her patients keeps her looking forward to each day at Downtown Dental.
Emily Murray grew up in Aiken and loves her hometown. A graduate of Aiken High School, Emily enjoyed running on the Cross Country and Track teams. She completed her Expanded Duty Dental Assisting program at Aiken Technical College. She has worked at Downtown Dental since 2013 when it was the dental practice of Dr. Bob Talbert.
Emily and her husband, who works at the Savannah River Site, have one son, who is a constant joy in their busy lives. She enjoys reading, experiencing South Carolinas great outdoors be it camping or spending time at the beach. The fall is her favorite time of year. She has a remarkable gift for remembering patients names and faces. Her love of family and friends shines through in all that she does and makes people feel so welcomed.
Ruth Ann Adam, is a native of Washington, D.C., just like generations of her family. Also, like many in her family, Ruth Ann has pursued a career in healthcare. She grew up playing with her cousins at their house where her uncle had a separate office for his dental practice. Her mother was a dental hygienist. Ruth Ann holds a bachelors of science in Dental Hygiene from University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgeons.
She and her husband enjoy renovating cottages and bungalows in Aiken as rental properties. They have four children who live throughout the country. When they can find time to escape, they enjoy the funky vibe of Folly Beach. Ruth Ann fox hunts with the Aiken Hounds. She found a perfect place to enjoy her equestrian pursuits in Aiken. Her gift of gentle thorough care is a perfect match for Downtown Dental.
