Although it is one of the most winding paths imaginable, being born and raised in Bulgaria and moving to the U.S. at the age of 10 made Dr. Ivan Georgiev into the professional he is today. After arriving in the U.S., his family moved six times in the first four years. He has lived on both coasts and along the way been exposed to a variety of people and cultures and made many friends.
Graduating from the University of Connecticut in three and a half years with a double major in molecular and cell biology and in physiology and neurobiology, along with a minor in business.Completing a Master of Science in biotechnology from Columbia University in one and a half years.Receiving a Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now integrated into Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences).Completing a residency to specialize in oral and maxillofacial surgery at St. Josephs Regional Medical Center.
Other achievements aside, taking care of our patients is what Dr. Georgiev enjoys most about his work. He loves interacting with them and making them laugh. His sense of humor is what he believes they enjoy most about his care.
Pam began working in dentistry in 1994 and came on board with us in 2014. She is certified in CareCredit, LendingClub, and CPR and has completed continuing education in OSHA. Pam truly loves what she does and enjoys helping our patients get the financing they want to make their dreams possible. She is thrilled when she sees patients with the beautiful smile they have always wanted. Her goal is to ensure that each patient always feel welcome and part of our family. Pam is married to her high school sweetheart, and they have a beautiful daughter. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, playing games with her daughter, and doing crafts. She also loves photography her family and friends consider her to be their official photographer! Her family has a great dog, Smokey, that they rescued three years ago.
Having begun her dental career in 1985, Sue has worked for our team since 2010. She is certified in CareCredit and LendingClub and has trained in GreenSky patient financing. She has taken continuing education in Dynamic Team Concepts at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. Sue enjoys having the opportunity to help patients afford the dental care they want for themselves and their families and helping them to obtain all the insurance benefits theyre entitled to. She wants our patients to feel that we are all on the same team. In her spare time, Sue teaches songs and crafts to children in her churchs Sunday school and helps organize fundraisers so that her congregation can support charities such as Special Olympics, The Seeing Eye, and other worthy organizations. She is blessed with loyal friends, and she adores her wonderful husband, Don, and her children and grandchildren. After many years of study, she had the pleasure of graduating from college with a bachelors degree in May 2018.
Michelle first worked in dentistry in 1992 and she came on board with us in 2012. She is certified in pit and fissure sealants, radiology, inhaled sedation, and local anesthesia. Plus, Michelle has completed continuing education in basic life support, CPR, bloodborne pathogens, PANDA, OSHA, hepatitis, infection control, oral cancer, and the oral impact of tobacco. She loves making her patients happy, educating them on the link between the mouth and heart, and improving their overall health, gums, and teeth. She also enjoys working with a great team of people! Michelle spends her spare time reading, working out, completing her continuing education, doing research, and singing karaoke. She has thought strongly about going back to school because shed like to teach dental hygiene someday.
Hoshyar began working for Dr. Trichas in 2014, but his dental career spans back to 1990. He is certified in X-ray, advanced orthodontics, and implantology. The best part of his job is being able to put a beautiful smile on a patients face and seeing them happy! When hes not working, he enjoys, cooking, cleaning, and spending time with his family.

The nicest most welcoming dental office I ever went to! But..., was given a price in the thousands for work. went to another dentist who disputed the need for pricey work and fixed it for under 400.- be prepared to pay big $$ here!

Dr. Trichas was very straight forward about the procedure and I felt I could ask anything. Pam and Susan....well, what a great cheering squad; always helpful, always fun. Hoosh was fabulous as that righthand man everyone needs but seldom find. Thank you all, but especially Dr. Trichas for giving me the self-esteem and confidence I never had. Smiling and being proud of it has been a life changer for me. If anyone ever needs to speak to someone who has a new lease on life, I would be more than happy to share my story.

This is by far the best experience at a dentist office I've ever had in my life! As a young kid I had a few terrible experiences with other dentist so my first visit to Dr. T, I was extremely anxious. But as soon as I walked in, Sue & Pam made me feel so comfortable. I then meet Dr. T and Hoshyar and right away, they calmed my nerves, were very compassionate and together, they worked with me to come up with a treatment plan that met my goals but also fit within my budget. Now, I look forward to every appointment. Dr. T & Hoshyar are hilarious and work extremely well together. This office is very professional, knowledgeable , honest and truly goes out their way to do the right thing for their patients. I feel like I am apart of their family & it's refreshing to finally find a dentist office I trust & I know has my health & best interest at heart. I have recommended them to friends and family.

Let me be very clear, I am someone who has always been afraid of the dentist, I am NOT anymore. Dr. Trichas and his staff are amazing!! After the first visit I went home to my wife and said "this is our dentist forever." My wife went to him and said she never felt more comfortable in a dentist's office in her life! I love this place and it is making me take better care of my teeth because I am not afraid to call and go. Those of you afraid of the Novocain shot, don't be! Somehow Dr. Trichas makes it so that you never feel even the first pinch! It's incredible. He is so nice and personable, you're basically just hanging out with a friend and getting your teeth fixed or treated! His support staff are kind and excellent in every way! I really cannot say enough great things about this dentist and his office! But I absolutely guarantee you, if you are even slightly afraid of the dentist like I was, when you go here, that will disappear! Ten stars! I truly mean that!!

I have been seeing Dr Trichas for many years. He is a great dentist , skillful, thoughtful , very honest and also very kind. The quality of his work is exceptional. He also has a great staff very competent and pleasant to deal with.

I'm trying to write a rational account of my initial experience here after all the emotion has subsided. I was interested in a consultation. The aid's (believe his name is Hoshi) first question out of his mouth was, 'Where are you from?' If you're a person of color, odds are you've been asked this question countless times and feel uncomfortably roped into amusing their racial schema(s). I replied, 'From around here.' He then asked, 'What's your background?' So I scratched his itch and answered him honestly. Then he went on to say, 'If I were Chinese, he'd be surprised because I'm so tall.' I felt upset by this remark. I didn't take it personally but felt it was a very casual but racially tinted remark. I replied that his questions weren't relevant. He began to dismiss me and told me to leave because he felt I was too sensitive exclaiming out loud, 'People are so sensitive.' I was outraged. I've never felt so unwelcome at a doctor's office. The front staff progressed to explain his actions but I felt it was too late to exonerate him. I admit I was furious but rightly so. Then the doctor confronted me, got in my face, and asked to leave. He said he'd call the cops. I'm a prospective patient and I was so shockingly surprised by their attitudes towards someone they don't know. As I left, Dr Trichas told me to, 'Go get some help.' Flipped me the bird and mouthed to me expletives and that I was lucky to have left in one piece. Wow, just wow. One can call me sensitive but I do not let racial microaggressions go as they come. I'm not even Chinese but allowing employees to talk casually about other minorities does not sit right with me. I felt like I needed to speak up and I do not regret how I responded. I just hope their staff wises up. It is not appropriate to talk stereotypically to patients even if it's under the guise of small talk. I'm even more flabbergasted that they dismissed my grievances and told me to leave. No admittance of wrongdoing. I admit I could've kept a cooler head but I felt I was triggered by his remarks. This story might not matter to some readers, but to those who don't take casual racism lightly, I hope this informs your decision to take your business here. Oh yeah, and one more thing. This all happened on Martin Luther King Jr. day no less. I wondered to myself if I were a different ethnic group or caucasian, would he have asked me this question. I hope taking a stance will change their approach in a meaningful, respectful way.

I've been a patient at DDA for about 4 months now and I can honestly say I have FINALLY found a dental practice that I can stand. I used to have to wait for a minimum of an hour at my previous practice, now when I book an appointment, my time is respected and the appointment is honored! Also, Dr. T is awesome and I feel like I learn something after every visit!

Based on my bad dental history , expensive and painful dental treatments in which they never worked for me ,I have never thought that I would finally come to a point in my life and say "it's a pleasure to go to the dentist but it truly was and is at Dr. Trichas office." DDA of Montclair is positively the best place to come for all dental needs. The visit feels routinely very pleasant thank you to the front team and Dr. Trichas expertise who gives you always an honest advice, the latest advanced great treatments and making you feel not just a number but makes you feel like part of the family. Every smile has a story and this is my happy story thank you to DDA of Montclair which I highly recommend.
