Although it is one of the most winding paths imaginable, being born and raised in Bulgaria and moving to the U.S. at the age of 10 made Dr. Ivan Georgiev into the professional he is today. After arriving in the U.S., his family moved six times in the first four years. He has lived on both coasts and along the way been exposed to a variety of people and cultures and made many friends.
Graduating from the University of Connecticut in three and a half years with a double major in molecular and cell biology and in physiology and neurobiology, along with a minor in business.Completing a Master of Science in biotechnology from Columbia University in one and a half years.Receiving a Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now integrated into Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences).Completing a residency to specialize in oral and maxillofacial surgery at St. Josephs Regional Medical Center.
Other achievements aside, taking care of our patients is what Dr. Georgiev enjoys most about his work. He loves interacting with them and making them laugh. His sense of humor is what he believes they enjoy most about his care.
Pam began working in dentistry in 1994 and came on board with us in 2014. She is certified in CareCredit, LendingClub, and CPR and has completed continuing education in OSHA. Pam truly loves what she does and enjoys helping our patients get the financing they want to make their dreams possible. She is thrilled when she sees patients with the beautiful smile they have always wanted. Her goal is to ensure that each patient always feel welcome and part of our family. Pam is married to her high school sweetheart, and they have a beautiful daughter. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, playing games with her daughter, and doing crafts. She also loves photography her family and friends consider her to be their official photographer! Her family has a great dog, Smokey, that they rescued three years ago.
Having begun her dental career in 1985, Sue has worked for our team since 2010. She is certified in CareCredit and LendingClub and has trained in GreenSky patient financing. She has taken continuing education in Dynamic Team Concepts at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. Sue enjoys having the opportunity to help patients afford the dental care they want for themselves and their families and helping them to obtain all the insurance benefits theyre entitled to. She wants our patients to feel that we are all on the same team. In her spare time, Sue teaches songs and crafts to children in her churchs Sunday school and helps organize fundraisers so that her congregation can support charities such as Special Olympics, The Seeing Eye, and other worthy organizations. She is blessed with loyal friends, and she adores her wonderful husband, Don, and her children and grandchildren. After many years of study, she had the pleasure of graduating from college with a bachelors degree in May 2018.
Michelle first worked in dentistry in 1992 and she came on board with us in 2012. She is certified in pit and fissure sealants, radiology, inhaled sedation, and local anesthesia. Plus, Michelle has completed continuing education in basic life support, CPR, bloodborne pathogens, PANDA, OSHA, hepatitis, infection control, oral cancer, and the oral impact of tobacco. She loves making her patients happy, educating them on the link between the mouth and heart, and improving their overall health, gums, and teeth. She also enjoys working with a great team of people! Michelle spends her spare time reading, working out, completing her continuing education, doing research, and singing karaoke. She has thought strongly about going back to school because shed like to teach dental hygiene someday.
Hoshyar began working for Dr. Trichas in 2014, but his dental career spans back to 1990. He is certified in X-ray, advanced orthodontics, and implantology. The best part of his job is being able to put a beautiful smile on a patients face and seeing them happy! When hes not working, he enjoys, cooking, cleaning, and spending time with his family.
