Dr. Mohan has lived in the fox valley area since 2002. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the prestigious Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA, in 2004 and moved back home to practice in Oswego, IL. She offers general/family dentistry with a special emphasis on cutting edge CAD CAM dentistry, Implant dentistry, Cosmetic dentistry and sleep apnea treatment. Dr.Mohan is passionate about using the latest advances in dentistry to improve the dental experience for her patients. Her emphasis is on quality dentistry performed in a caring, thoughtful manner. She takes time to explain procedures to patients and tries to calm any dental fears they may have.
Dr. Mohan is very active in the local community and holds annual free dental screenings at the Oswego Senior Center, dental hygiene seminars at local preschools and daycare centers and s upports the Marie Wilkinson food pantry and Kendall County Food Pantry through food drives at our office.
Dr. Mohan is a member of the Illinois State Dental Society, American Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, Fox Valley Dental Society, American Academy of Implant Dentistry and American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. She takes several continuing education courses to keep herself updated on the latest dental technologies.
Dr. Nana, originally from Munster, Indiana, received her DDS degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry. After practicing in Northwest Indiana, Dr. Nana moved to Naperville with her husband. Dr. Nana chose to practice here at Downtown Dental and Implants of Oswego because she believes in providing comprehensive and quality dental care in a reliable, professional and comfortable way. To Dr.Nana, dentistry is more than just about teeth, its about building wonderful relationships with her patients and helping them become more confident.
Dr. Nana is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society, and the Aurora Dental Society. Committed to providing the best care possible for her patients, Dr. Nana completes numerous hours of continuing education per year. She is in the office on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. She is also available by cell phone in case of emergency.

When Dr. Nana checks your teeth she talks to you about potential problems. She has done three crowns so far and has done a terrific job. Dr. Nana and her staff couldn't be better. I highly recommend Downtown Dental.

Highly recommend this dentistry!!!!! First the appointment setting was done very efficiently, as I left a message to set one up ( after hours) and thr receptionist called me back immediately the next day. When I came in the receptionist pronounced my name properly and had all my paperwork ready and mostly filled out. The exam was VERY thorough! The doctor t ( and technicians) took her time to explain what they were doing, checking oral health, gums, cavities, everything! They walked us through options of treatment without being pushy , which I loved! If your lookong for a dentist in the area, definatly check this one out!!!

I cannot recommend Dr. Shalini Mohan enough!! I needed to find a new dentist but I was putting it off until after my wedding reception. We eloped last year, but had our reception last Saturday. I woke up on the day of the reception and broke my tooth eating breakfast. I called a number of dentists in the area, including my former one in Woodridge. No one called me back. I was in complete panic mode. I then randomly called Dr. Mohan's office. The lady on the phone was extremely comforting and told me she would call Dr. Mohan at home. The receptionist promptly called me back and said that the Dr. was on her way in. I was a crying mess in the office, but Dr. Mohan was so comforting. She looked at my tooth and explained that they could make me a new tooth in the office. They are one of the few dentists who have this machine to do this. I was able to watch the machine create my tooth in a matter a minutes. I was out and on my way to decorate the hall by 11am. I am forever thankful to her for coming in on her day off to save my reception day. This wasn't the way I wanted to find a new dentist, but I am so happy that I did and I know how caring they are here.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ON EVERY LEVEL!!!! I had huge anxiety and no trust in any Dentist due to quite some bad experiences, but THIS Doctor and her Team is incredibly caring, kind and just awesome. My last visit which was for a crown was incredibly un-painful (honestly like a 0-0.5), informative (okay, I am definitely the very curious type, but Dr. Mohan answered them all patiently and then some) and gave me options on how to move forward. On top of that I learned about snoring and sleep apnea (never thought a Dentist would go there!). Cleanings are just as 'great' (I know, a strange term to use for a Dentist, but I truly mean it!!!) The only thing I haven't encountered is my hand being held, but I could see them providing that kind of comfort in need, too My family & I are going here since 2014 and even though we don't live close by anymore, there is no other Dentist we'd ever see. They really are the best in my eyes!!

I have been at Downtown Dental and Implants for a few years now. Their staff is very professional and helpful. My favorite is Dr. Mohan. She always takes time to ask and really listen to YOU. So sincere. Recently she suspected sleep apnea as I had a few signs and referred me to my doctor. It ended up leading us to a rather serious disease that would not have been detected if Dr. Mohan had not said anything. I am so grateful to her, her staff and up to date technology she maintains in her practice. I highly recommend her practice in downtown Oswego! -Maureen Franzen

I was referred to this dental office last year when I was desperate for a new dentist. Dr. Nana and Dr. Mohan have been taking care of me and my siblings ever since. They are very professional and have been amazing to work with. The whole office team is great. I recommend them to everyone.

Have been using Downtown Dental since they opened. Staff is terrific, friendly and caring. Always confident and satisfied with the services and care I have received. Prices are reasonable as well. You won't be disappointed.
