Dr. David Downs has been providing his community with the highest quality of dental care for over 30 years. He is a graduate of Dorsey High in Los Angeles, Claremont Mckenna College and UCLA School of Dentistry. Because the art of Dentistry is constantly changing, Dr. Downs understands it is his obligation to consistently update his office with the latest technology and techniques. In addition, he and his staff partake in continuing education courses annually to be at the forefront of dentistry. Dr. Downs is known for his gentle, skilled hands and wonderful sense of humor by all of his patients. In their smiles shines the passion that lies behind Dr. Downss work.

He is an active member of the California Dental Association, American Dental Association, Angel City Dental Society and the Western Los Angeles Dental Society, where he serves on its board as President. He is also an esteemed member of the WLADSs Peer Review Committee. Dr. Downs is laser and Invisalign certified, and thoroughly trained in soft tissue management, pain management, and implant restorations.

Dr. Downs' practice philosophy cannot be captured in words, instead its experienced through the warm ambiance that radiates through the patients and office itself. His goal is to bring back that radiant smile by providing exceptional chair-side manner and precision technique in every treatment. He offers a variety of procedures, from restorations to a total smile makeover.

In his leisure time, as an L.A. native Dr. Downs enjoys cheering on his beloved L.A. Lakers, traveling, playing golf and spending quality time with his friends and family. He also considers himself a top notch movie and restaurant critic.

Dr. Danielle Brown became an associate of Dr. Downs in 2016 upon receiving her degree from Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at USC. For her undergraduate degree, Dr. Brown graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a Bachelor's in Business Administration in 2008. Yet, she wanted to have a significant impact on her community, something she could feel passionate and proud of. Eager to explore, Dr. Brown began an internship working alongside Dr. Downs. He showed her the immediate impact a dentist can have on a patient and be able to immediatelytransform their frown into a smile. This is what ignited the flame to pursue a career in dentistry. As her longtime mentor, Dr. Downs has given Dr. Brown the tools and experience to thrive in their field and provide for their community.

Dr. Brown is an active member of Western Los Angeles Dental Society and serves on their board. She is also a member of the California Dental Association, American Dental Association, and the Angel City Dental Society.

Amber graduated from California State University, Dominguez Hills with a degree in Public Relations and a minor in Marketing. She has been an active member of our practice since 2004 and brings a warm cheerfulness to our accounting and insurance department. We understand that dental care may be intimating so Amber is always accommodating and available to our patients to answer any questions they may have. In her spare time, she enjoys playing golf and relaxing with a good book; not to mention spending quality time with her beautiful daughter, Emersyn. Working here at Downs Dental is not like any other office. She says, Our patients are not just chart numbers to us, we truly enjoy talking to our patients about what is going on in their lives. They are interested in what is going on with us and we are equally interested in what is going on with them. They ask us how are kids are doing and want to see the most current pictures. When they take vacations they send us postcards and even bring back souvenirs. We are a part of their extended family.

Kristian received her Bachelors degree in Business Management and minor in Marketing from Everest College. This propelled her into the field of patient care and customer service for the past 10 years. Kristian joined our practice in January 2016 bringing with her bright new ideas. As our Marketing Coordinator, she keeps us connected with our patients and brings them the latest news happening in our office. In her spare time, Kristian enjoys spending quality time with her family as well as running an Indie music blog. She gives individuals in the music and entertainment industry a platform to express themselves by forming music panels and organizing events.

As a graduate from United Education Institute she began her career in dentistry. Roxana has worked at Downs Dental as a registered dental assistant since 2007 and soon became our Back Office Supervisor. She coordinates our dental implant, Zoom Whitening and Invisalign treatment programs, as well as, maintaining the efficiency and diligence of our back office. What she enjoys most she her ability to lead and be very proactive. From the many years alongside Dr. Downs, she has refined her skills and techniques to precision. Seeing the look on her patients face after being alongside them through every treatment and revealing their desired smile, is her driving force to excel in her field. When Roxana isnt transforming smiles she enjoys dancing to her Latin roots, traveling, and spending quality time with her family.

Growing up in Ladera Heights, Brittney has been a patient of Dr. Downs since high school. Brittney has always been interested in teeth since she was young. While in college, Dr. Downs allowed Brittney to shadow his hygienist at the time, which further sparked her passion. Brittney received her Dental Hygiene degree from the University of Southern California almost 10 years ago. Brittney continued her Dental Hygiene education by being laser certified, thoroughly trained in Soft Tissue Management and getting her Alternative Practice certification from West L.A. College in 2015. This certification allows her to work with patients that are homebound and in nursing and skilled facility homes. In addition, she is an active member of Inner City Dental Hygiene Committee. Brittney has been the driving force of our hygiene department for over 8 years, encouraging and educating our patients on how to ensure a lifetime of optimal oral health. Her passion is evident by her thorough explanations and caring touch. When not attending to her patients, Brittney takes pleasure in Habitat for Humanity. She also loves staying active through a variety of outdoor activities such as tennis; and enjoys doing a lot of traveling with friends and family.Brittney recently tied the knot in the Dominican Republic.

Rosiemarie is a practicing dentist in Long Beach, CA who has been actively providing her community with exceptional dental care for over 20 years. She graduated from UCLA School of Dentistry and is currently a member of the Naples Island Business Association. Her goal is to provide personalized, quality dental treatment to every patient that has a seat in her chair. Here at Downs Dental, she has become apart of our dental hygiene department and provides our patients with phenomenalcare as our Dental Hygienist.

Shavae received her bachelors degree in Health and Fitness Management in 2014 at Valdosta State University. She was born and raised in the city of Los Angeles but, as someone who loves to travel, she has spent a few of years living in Atlanta, GA.What brought Shavaes attention to dentistry was the fact that the field was so ever evolving. She enjoys the challenges and innovation this field offers her on a daily basis. Shavae is able to provide her patients with helpful information, and tips, on how to maintain a healthy dental routine that they can take with them throughout their lifetime. Being chair-side with a patient for hours on end, gives Shavae the opportunity to build lasting repour between her and her patients. Here at Downs Dental, she continues to feel that love of dentistry and the sense of family Dr. Downs has created here. In her words, This team is unmatched!

Jocelyne was born in Los Angeles, California but at a every young age her and her family moved to Queretaro, Mexico where she was learning to become a psychiatrist. The health field has as always been very fascinating to Jocelyne as it gave her a way to help the person next to her. In 2015, Jocelyne decided to take another leap and return to her birthplace and begin a new journey. However, while in Los Angeles, she discovered a new interest in the health field and was that was dentistry. She graduated from the American Career College in 2016 from their Dental Assisting Program. What she finds most rewarding from being a dental assistant is knowing that she can provide comfort and reassurance to her patients, and nothing says 'thank you' like seeing her patients walk out with a smile on their face. In her spare time, Jocelyn enjoys watching soccer games with her dad, barbequing with her family and listening to her favorite music.
