Digital X-rays offer a huge advantage in early detection and preventive services. Advanced image manipulation and analysis, for example, allows your doctor to detect early stages of gum disease through recognition of bone level changes, or by evaluating the results against a previous treatment.
An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.
Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.
Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) is an advanced, proven technology that provides more precise three-dimensional (3D) imaging for more accurate diagnosis and treatment of oral health conditions. 3D dental X-rays can uncover issues that may not be detectable with 2D X-rays. By making images easier to see, its helpful in gaining a better understanding of oral health conditions and suggested treatment.

Worst experience ever and waste of time!! They told me they work with children but it turns out that wasn't true. Took my daughter in for a basic check up and said oh no we cannot treat any cavities on her. Later I found out they send a bill to my insurance company for $1,278 what a joke. I will call my insurance company tomorrow for fraud!!! #deltadental

Went to the dentist for a tooth ache, and to say I was a little nervous is an understatement. The front office staff was so friendly, courteous and professional which made me feel a little more at ease. Dr. Pessah and her assistants were awesome and made my experience at the dentist a great one.

Who likes going to the dentist? Not me, until I found Downey Modern Dentistry and Dr. Pessah and the WHOLE STAFF! OMG! Trust me, you will not be disappointed. I kept an eye on the reviews for a few months b4 finally making my decision. I must say, it was the BEST decision I made. From the time I walked in the door, to the chair for x-rays, to the chair for treatment, was the most AMAZING service I've ever experienced at a dentist office. This group of individuals were kind, professional, caring, generous, understanding and extremely knowledgeable, and will provide you with an A-1, top tier service. So, if you're in need of a dentist office please check them out. Dr. Pessah, thank you so much for everything, and to you Andrea (Hygienists), thank you! Found this dentist over a year ago and have done basically everything with them, from cleanings, check ups, x-rays, root canals, tooth extraction, bone graft and tooth implant just to name a few. I have recommended them to family and friends who have also gotten wisdom teeth removal, dental cleanings/check ups. This was my first time in probably my entire adulthood that I've seen because dental offices used to scare me and I would be hesitant thinking I was getting ripped off or not the best service but this office will put you and your fears at ease! They also have the best staff, so friendly and knowledgeable. Book that appointment, seriously!

I was extremely nervous about having to find a new dentist. I have a lot of anxiety from previous trauma with a former dentist. This team was absolutely incredible and did everything to make me feel safe, comfortable and well taken care of. Additionally, I was 3 months pregnant when coming in and suffering from a great deal of morning sickness. The team went above and beyond to make me feel more comfortable and talk me through everything so that I could prepare for the appointment and they assured me that they could stop at any time. The team was so supportive, giving me pep talks and praise when I made it through the cleaning. I'm only sad it took me so many years to find a dental office that feels so comfortable. So happy to have found my new dentistry team!

Hi Yelp! I hope this review can help some of you who have a childhood trauma like I DID until Dr. Pessah and her staff took care of me! If you have anything that needs to be done regarding your teeth, you want to see Dr. Pessah and her staff, hands down, just do it! I came here for a chipped molar and I knew that I had a lot of others things to take care of, from deep cleaning to replacing some silver fillings. I had a childhood trauma that honestly made me shake when I will sit in the dentist's chair, I explained this to Dr. Pessah and her assistant Aglaiel, she was really understanding and super gentle, her hands are soft and gentle as clouds (imagine a cloud!), she explained in detail what needed to be done and what needed to be prioritized so we can work with my budget. Procedure: Potential root canals and for sure some crowns (yes, I mentioned that I had really bad oral hygiene, don't judge me!), she started the procedure with anesthesia, a little pinch that's all I can associate with pain, Dr. Pessah was checking on me every other minute, she is caring and super amazing, she took care of everything that needed to be done in a timely manner, she was respectful of my time, my feelings, my history and made me feel cared, she is not only a doctor, but she is also an angel. Deep Cleaning: Andrea was phenomenal, she told me that I will feel a little discomfort for a bit, I don't recall feeling a thing! Andrea was checking on me every 2 mins to make sure that I was doing ok and that no pain was present during the cleaning, believe me when I tell you this, a big 270lbs guy with a long beard was being asked all the time if I'm doing ok made me feel like a kid again! Closing: Dr. Pessah, Aglaiel & Vanessa (dental assistants), Andrea (hygienist), Janeth, and Gabby (receptionists) make this dentistry office the most professional, caring, and amazing business that you can ask for, I drove 27 miles to see them, but if I have to drive 100 miles, I'll do it without blinking! Thank you guys, and especially, Dr. Pessah for changing history in my life, I know this sounds a little too much, but believe me, this is a HUGE trauma overcome!

I am excited to say I've found my new dentist! Last Sunday night I chipped my front tooth. It was bad. I got a recommendation from a friend to Downey Modern Dentistry so I called. Luckily for me they had a same day appointment. The office was very modern and all the equipment was new and immaculate. My dentist had a nice demeanor and took care of me. I could have had the whole procedure done the same day since they have there own lab for crowns. I choose to bleach my teeth to get them to a lighter shade. I have another appointment Thursday to finish up the tooth. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean modern dentist office ask for Dr.Pessah she's great!
