Dr. Farzad Feiz has been practicing dentistry in the Los Angeles area since 1992. He views his practice as both science and art. He received his undergraduate degree fromUCLAand then graduated from theUniversity of Southern California, School of Dentistry. He is a trusted member ofLos Angeles dental communityand firmly believes that having a compassionate dentist with years of experience perfecting his techniques can make a big difference in overall health. Dr. Feiz opened his first practice in Calabasas as a general practitioner treating patients with an array of dental issues, and with an emphasis in cosmetic and restorative dentistry. Dr. Richard A. Verdugo was born in Los Angeles, California. He grew up in San Gabriel, California and attended Mark Keppel High School. He received his undergraduate degree at California State University Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology. He received hisdental degree (DDS) from the prestigious University of California San Francisco (UCSF).
Dr.Richard A. Verdugowent on to practice in South Orange County. He joined the Downey Dental team in 2000. He continues to be a lifelong learnerattending lecture and hands-on courses throughout the year to stay current with new techniques and treatment modalities. Dr. Verdugo enjoys helping patients achieve the smile and oral health care they deserve.

Crooks! Not the word I'd use, but if the shoes fit? Arrived on time for my initial appointment. After THIRTY MINUTES was put in a dental chair, X-ray done. Was left unattended for next THIRTY MINUTES!! Amazing!!! I could have died. Nobody cared. I just left. Still, Nobody cared! Attitude is " I get paid anyway ". This is very typical. They put profits over care, respect: They over Schedule, every 15, 20 minutes knowing this want work. But, if they get 6, 7, out of ten: they win $$. We lose!! I CAN DO BETTER!!! YOU CAN TOO!! They are Crooks because they Stole my time, and $$ going there!!

Dr Verdugos is a great doctor. Very detailed. But seems the fees are excessive. I had a cleaning done. They not once asked if a special rinse was necessary. And I was charged $50.00 for it. I asked if that was my copay. And they said it was recommended by Dr.,never did the doctor recommend it. They did it without consulting and then charged me for It. Not good to spring it up after the fact. So not pleased with the sudden fees.

Dr. Khorsandi is an excellent dentist and his staff are similarly very professional and effective in addressing the needs of their patients. He performed a thorough gum treatment of all of my four quadrants, and I am highly pleased with his services. I highly recommend him to anyone in need of dental or periodontal services. I'll try to be as fair as possible. I was referred to this office by my dentist for 2 wisdom teeth extraction as my dental office doesn't have an oral surgeon. Long story short, they asked that I pay $1030 for the 2 extractions. $650 for the anesthesia that my insurance should already have covered and about $400 for a Platelet Rich Plasma Treatment. I argued that I didn't want to be sedated for this procedure and that the anesthesia should already be covered and their response was that I "might" get reimbursed by my insurance once the claim is filed. But my insurance does indeed cover the extraction along with the local anesthesia. On top of that, they required I do a PRP treatment which they told me would really help with my recovery and to help prevent infections. I would of course agree to it if it was covered under my insurance but most dental insurance plans don't and they're making me pay extra for it. Dr. Torres seemed very nice , personable and professional but to me the costs weren't justified and for that I give them 2 stars.

Find another Dental Office!! Downey Dental's goal is only to get you in and out as quickly as possible and bill your insurance. Your're just a number with them. You'll never find a sense of personalization there because you don't matter for them. Additionally, it takes forever to get an appointment, and when you finally get one, you're very likely to have it cancelled. Both my spouse and I had our appointments cancelled after waiting 6 weeks. Our appointments were on different days. The reason, they said, because "the hygienist had called in sick." What a coincidence that both times we were given the same reason! Overall, their patient service is awful and their only goal is to get your $$$, buy they will never go the extra mile to help you.

Worst Dentist i've ever been to. To start off the staff/clerks are rude and not helpful at all. No customer service what so ever. Seems like they do not want to work or help people. My procedure was just a simple extraction that could be done with local anesthesia and my insurance covers the extraction. Dr Anthony Torres does not care about patients, all he cares about is $$$. This guy wanted to charge me $550 to put me to sleep and $350 for a PRP treatment that was unnecessary. Thats $900 just to pull a tooth! They didnt even offer a payment plan or anything. I immediately changed my dentist on my insurance and went somewhere else. I got my tooth pulled at my new dentist and didnt pay anything. Think twice before coming to this place. Or make sure you come with some money$$$$

It was absolutely terrible, I went in excruciating pain and also had to talk to the doctor about some other teeth problem that I was having he told me I needed a root canal , I only have Medi-Cal and he told me to go down to the USC hospital and get the root canal and I said well aren't I gonna be in a lot of pain later and he was like I don't know I was like well it was excruciating last night that's why I am I am in for a emergency visit and he was like I don't know , it was very strange I immediately made another doctors appointment when I got home and I went to see that dentist and it was completely different experience.

I don't regret coming. Excellent professional service. Very kind staff and Dentist is kind and politely hears your concerns. I used to take my son elsewhere and I can't even mention her name because I'm very respectful because she still has a business to run but she is very unprofessional and her clinic is dirty and not up to date. Downey Dental Center has affordable prices. I'm very satisfied. Please come see for yourself you won't leave unhappy.

This review is for Dr Uppal .. I believe that's his name .. anyways I had a good experience until he came to see me .. I left in tears .. he said my teeth were horrible and that I should be embarrassed to even go in like that. What kind of dentist says this ?? He also said Im making excuses like a fat person makes for loosing weight !!! Beware !! Everyone eles was very nice but him.. and I will take this as far as I can
