Dr. Joseph Berretone Jr. is a second generation dentist that has had a passion for dentistry his whole life. He grew up in East Rochester, New York where his father was the local dentist. He spent much of his childhood helping his dad in the office. Dr. Berretone's excellent chairside manner and listening skills are learned behavior from his father.
Dr. Berretone graduated from Villanova University with his degree in Biology. He then attended the University of Pennsylvania where he received his Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree. At the University of Pennsylvania he was trained by the finest in the industry and graduated with honors.
Dr. Berretone has been an adjunct professor at Harcum College where he taught dental hygiene and soft tissue management. He is also a dental consultant receiving claims from all over the world. He has completed over one thousand hours of continuing education, learning about the latest techniques and materials in dentistry. He has received a Lifestyle Magazine aware for 'Outstanding Service and Care.'

FinancialWe will be more than happy to submit all insurance forms for you and help you recover the most from your benefits. It is your responsibility to check to see if our office participates with your dental plan. We will do everything we can to help you afford the treatment you need and want. For patients who require major work, a complete payment plan is designed with an appropriate payment schedule. Forms of payment accepted by the office are Check, Cash, Visa, Master Card or Discover. Our office also offers an in house dental plan along with Care Credit, ask for details!

Growing up, I had a great dentist. Now as an adult, I am so happy to have found someone as amazing, if not even better than my favorite childhood dentist. I am even more grateful that now my kids get to experience and share the same kind of love and comfort at the dentist. Dr. Berretone and his team are so sweet, professional, caring and compassionate. We love our dentist and we know you'll love him too!

Dr. Berretone is amazing! He opened his office for my Mom who was having a dental emergency on a day the office was closed. Extremely professional! Beautifully decorated office! I have always been insecure of my teeth because they look like broken piano keys. When I saw other dentists they had always made me felt worse by telling me to take better care of them but then I thought to myself isn't that why I came here. I felt like I was just a number to these other places I had been to and never wanted to go back. When I met Dr. Berretone, I was afraid I would have a similar experience like I had with the other dentists but instead he took the time and explained to me about my situation in a personal level. I'm more than half way through my invisalign journey and I'm so glad I trusted Dr. Berretone to take the wheel because I definitely notice the gradual straighten of my teeth. I like how he did not judge me and he's going to be improving my dating profile. I am excited to flex my smile with teeth this coming year.

Love love love Dr. Berretone! I went through traumatic experiences with dentist all my life but Dr. Berretone has help me overcome my fears/ phobia. He works fast and efficient and also holds amazing conversations. Love the whole team. Would recommend to everyone 10/10

I was in Atlantic City on Saturday, July 17, 2021 visiting the Golden Nugget Marina. I traveled with a small toothache that I was hoping would dissipate quickly only to have the pain grow with each step I was taking. I met Dr. Joe Berretone previously and decided to look him up while at the Marina. After explaining my situation, with my tooth, I asked Dr. Berretone if he had early hours on Monday. Dr. Berretone asked me to give him a few minutes and suggested we go to his office that moment for an exam and see what he can do for me. Not only did we leave a few minutes later for his Dental Office in Margate, he insisted that he drive me, as well. After an exam, a few xrays and a full mouth scan, Dr. Berretone prescribed an anitbiotic, called in the prescription and drove me to the CVS to pick it up. Dr. Berretone asked me to keep an eye on the swelling and said he would check on me in a few days. I received a personal phone call from Dr. Berretone, checking on my tooth and the swelling on Tuesday morning The swelling had subsided and the pain was gone. Dr Berretone went over and above what would be expected from any medical professional. Dr. Berretone is now my dentist, although I live in the suburbs of Philadelphia, the ride is well worth it. Thank you so much Dr. Berretone.

I had a emergency on a Saturday morning. Tooth pain was so bad I was unable to sleep for almost two days. I called a 24/7 line which scheduled me a appointment with him that sat morning. It was 2hours away but at that point it didn't matter. I got to his office and he was the most caring dentist I have ever came across. He ended up unable to pull it because I had a infection he gave educated me on what was going on and his opinion of what I should do. I didn't get my tooth pulled but he made sure I was comfortable. I got meds for the pain and the infection. That Monday I was unable to get in the office he gave me nore anywhere else. I called his office and they called me back within 5mins I had a appointment close to home to get my tooth pulled. He also called twice to ensure I was doing okay and everything got handle. Hands down even though his office is 2 hours away that will be my new dentist office. I suggest anyone who needs or wants a great caring dentist who is extremely fair priced he is definitely it.

Dr. Berretone took me as an emergency patient. He secured time to see me and treated me as if he knew me for years. He is a true professional, and has a focused and kind staff at his practice. The office is calming and the protocols they use are exceptional especially during these difficult times.

Dr. Berretone is a terrific dentist. He took care of my parents for years and now treats my husband and myself. We reconnected this summer when I needed an emergency crown replacement. He got me into the office quickly and did a great job. My husband and I will continue to see Dr. Berretone for all of our dental needs, including regular cleanings and checkups, like the ones we had today. He is very kind, very upbeat, with all of the latest technologies. We live in Philly, but we will travel to Margate for Dr. Berretone.
