As part of the Sooner softball team, Dr. Dowell helped lead her team to a Big XII tournament championship. After she hung up her collegiate glove, Dr. Dowell went on to dental school to fulfill her second big dream.

Jamae Dental Hygienist & Myofunctional TherapistThe daughter of a dentist, Jamae prepared for a life in the dental field as early as the eighth grade, when she wrote a career paper declaring her plans. Since graduating from Amarillo College in 2000, she has enjoyed building relationships with patients and helping them get to a healthy state as a dental hygienist. In addition to her work, Jamae finds happiness in running, listening to audio books, attending OU sporting events, and most of all, spending time with her husband Rob, and their two beautiful daughters.
Silken Front Office CoordinatorWith five and a half years of experience, Silken has always loved the dentistry field and wanted to follow in her mothers footsteps as a Dental Assistant. Knowing that she would be excellent at easing anxiety for patients, she went to Moore Norman Technology Center and graduated from their Dental Assistant Program to pursue her dream. She enjoys learning about new techniques and technology while helping patients understand their treatment.
Silken loves children and animals and would like to have a big family. When shes not in the office she can usually be found chowing down on mexican cuisine, watching her favorite movies, or going to the zoo. She also has quite the talent in baking.
Rawley Therapy DogRawley joined the team in September 2017 to help patients who have anxiety during dental treatment. He brightens up the office every morning when he arrives to welcome patients with a wagging tail. At night, Rawley goes home with the doctor and plays with her daughters and two other furry pals.

I had the best Invisalign experience with Dr.Dowell. She always made sure that I was happy with my smile. Sam was the best. She's always so sweet and helpful. Silken never failed to help me reschedule and answer all my questions over the phone! Everyone is so kind. I'm so happy with my smile thanks to them!

Everyone in this office is so ridiculously nice and pretty you would think they were currently filming a commercial or reality series. Their therapy dog is also so so helpful, especially for people like me who would have rather been at work than at the dentist's office. Dowell Dentistry has now made me tolerate the dentist enough that I'm more than willing to get a root canal than clock into my job. They do everything they can to make sure you're relaxed and comfortable during whatever it is they're doing and before you know it, it's over. I highly recommend them, even if it's just to pet the doggie!

This place is beyond amazing they helped me out by getting my mother in law in on an emergency basis..after having her heart failure, COVID, RA diagnosis and a stroke in the last few months the last thing we needed was lack of confidence with her because of a tooth being knocked out from a fall with physical therapy comes bumps along the way... But we didn't skip a beat thanks to the staff here for being so kind of her mental state and the work they did!! You all are angels in my book! Thank you all!!

I originally called this office looking for specific whitening trays. I loved the call so much that I cancelled my upcoming dentist appointment elsewhere. I've been in twice now and have never had a better experience in my life. The staff and Dr. Dowell are so nice, and spend time with you, explain things in depth which I need. This is the best experience I've ever had.

Everyone at Dowell Dentistry is great! The staff is very welcoming and friendly! I have always been one to have anxiety when visiting the dentist, but not since becoming a patient here. I have pretty intense TMJD and Dr Dowell and Jamae have both always been very patient with me during treatments. I'm very thankful for Dr Dowell and her staff!

Dr. Dowell and her amazing team are so patient, kind, and professional. My roaring family of 3 girls can go in and my kids feel totally comfortable with all the staff members. And of course their favorite staffer, Rawley! Dr. Dowell explains each step and goes above and beyond to keep everyone comfortable and loving the dentist experience. I'd recommend Dowell Dentistry over and over again!

A follow up. I had the crown work completed. Two crowns in the same day. They are wonderful. The staff is exceptional and the dentist is gentle, and caring. They will tell you what they are going to do. Took their time. The dog is the best.

My mentors recommended Dowell Dentistry to me since I needed a new place to go in Norman. Dr. Dowell and all the staff are AMAZING. They are all so knowledgeable, patient and make sure you are comfortable and know exactly what's going on at all times. They are all super sweet and easy to talk to! They make the overall experience as easy and cozy as possible. Plus, they have a sweet baby angel pup Rowley! They are willing to work with you as much as possible, which personally helps out so much being a college student. Will be going here from now on. Highly recommend!!!

Best experience I have had with a dentist. They go out of the way to make sure you are comfortable... blanket, music, and conversation. Of course, I absolutely loved the puppy! I loved the dental assistant and Dr. Dowell. Very happy I switched to this office.

Dr. Dowell and the entire staff at Dowell Dentistry are the best around. They have taken excellent care of me and my entire family for many years. Dr. Dowell worked with me to develop a holistic plan for my dental health and I can happily say that my teeth and overall health have never been better. I spent all of my life with a fear of the dentist until now. Go see them for ALL of your dental needs- you will not be disappointed! *COVID-19 Edit: Dr. Dowell and her team have implemented several protections to keep clients, staff, and the community safe. They even have Extraoral Suction machines at each chair. This is the cleanest and safest business I have visited during the pandemic. Great work!

There aren't enough good things I can say about this amazing staff! My 7 year old needed to have a tooth pulled which we knew could be a traumatic experience as she has never liked the dentist and cries at every visit with her previous provider. At that office we were told due to COVID I would have to send my scared 7 year old back by herself for the procedure. I understand the guidelines and I'm all for following those guidelines when necessary however this did not feel necessary. I was referred to Dr. Dowells office by a family friend. I called and explained our situation and from moment 1 I felt cared for and understood. They were able to get us in 2 days after I called WOW! My daughter felt so comfortable with every single person in the office and so did I. They took their time, made sure my child felt comfortable and in control of the situation. An experience we had been dreading turned out to be a great one. I am so thankful to the staff and Dr. Dowell for taking care of my baby!! We will never go anywhere else EVER!!!!
