Dr. Agarwal attended New York University, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). Dr Agarwal graduated from prestigious SMS Medical college Jaipur In India before joining NYU. He pursued his MS in clinical research from NYU before joining DDS.
As a dental assistant , I assist with all procedures. My main goal is to make the patient feel comfortable and at ease throughout their visit to our office. I love what I do and Ive been working in the dental field since 1978 when I graduated from the Medix School and the Community College of Baltimore. I am qualified and certified to take dental x-rays. I have been a dental assistant for over 20 years.
Erin started her dental career in 2000 as a dental assistant after graduating from the Medix School in Towson. She decided to pursue her hygiene license and graduated in 2005. She joined the Dovedale Dental Care team in 2011. Erin is the OSHA officer within the office and enjoys getting to know her patients across the board. She has been married since 2005 and has two children. Erin admits that she has a sweet tooth. She also enjoys gardening, reading, movies, and travel.

Our dental office uses the latest dental diagnostic technology to quickly find and treat emerging dental problems. CBCT scans and digital x-rays take detailed images of the teeth, gums, nerves, and blood vessels in the mouth and face. We take scans and x-rays to find problems like impacted, crooked, infected, and missing teeth. Digital impressions have also changed the way that we create cosmetic and restorative treatments like crowns, oral appliances, and implant restorations. We no longer have to use messy putty to take dental impressions.
Additionally, our office provides modern orthodontic treatment with Invisalign. Invisalign uses clear aligners that shift teeth into a straighter, more even position. For patients with gum problems like periodontitis or a gummy smile, we offer laser dentistry. Dental lasers offer safe and pain-free treatment for our patients.

Updated: I was apprehensive about the change in dentist this year, but stuck around because I love Erin. I've been really pleased with Dr. Agarwal, however. I believe he is thorough and detail-oriented. I had a cavity filled recently and appreciated his compassion with my jitters between the numbing agents. I think he is hip to the latest dental advances, which is cool too! Dr. Scurnick and his staff are delightful! The office is always quiet and peaceful. I have always been given a thorough exam and cleaning! I never feel like just another patient. Side note: before I became Dr. Scurnick's patient, I saw a dentist who's customer service left a lot to be desired. The dentist was very rude and when she told me I needed $500.00 worth of dental work, I decided I would pay that money to someone who was nice. I stumbled upon Dr. Scurnick, who is very kind (as is his staff!) and he also told me I did NOT need any work done. Over time, he has filled 2 cavities that he has "watched" since that first visit. I trust that I am in good hands when I am there and that is very valuable to me!

Everyone in the office was very nice. The visit pleasant. Dr. Agarwal and his assistant explained things as they were going along and took great care to see that I was comfortable. I would definitely recommend them.

Updated review from October 2022 Wow, what a difference! To say I was apprehensive about coming back is an understatement. I fully planned to not schedule a followup appointment for 2023, but wanted to get my second one in this year due to the way my insurance works. I had Erin this time and now I understand the positive reviews. She was uplifting and encouraging while doing a great job cleaning. She gave me tips without belittling me. It was a really great experience. I even got an apology from the dentist for how my first visit went and was informed that the hygienist who I had such problems with is no longer at that office anymore. I felt comfortable enough to go ahead and make my 2023 appointment at this office still. Original 3 star review from April 2022 Front desk people were very friendly. Actual appointment didn't go as nicely as I hoped. Seemed in a hurry. The cleaning itself was fine and I was thankful I didn't feel sick to my stomach after it like I have at past dentist visits. I wound up with a cut on the bottom of my tongue and a cut or sore spot on the inside of my lip from the rough and hurried process of taking x-rays of my teeth. I was criticized extensively for brushing and water flossing every day because I wasn't dental flossing. And then both the hygienist and dentist tried to get me to buy a $500-600 night guard despite me having a night guard currently, having had night guards made by a dentist before that didn't help me any more than my current one, and me saying multiple times that I could not afford one at that price. I did not hear much about why I needed such an expensive one except that theirs was the best. The parting advice from the hygienist was for me to perhaps "save up." Felt very belittling. Hopefully they can back off the sales or make sure they have more affordable options available.

Erin is a terrific hygienist! Dr. Agarwai did a great job on my crown and has a wonderful assistant, Kath, that makes sure I am comfortable. I highly recommend this practice.

Wonderful staff. Painless dentistry. State of the art equipment!! Dr Puneet Agarwal is amazing. He is kind and extremely skilled. I had to have a molar crown replaced. Dr Agarwal explained everything to me and the whole procedure was painless. The office uses state of the art equipment. Catherine, Dr Agarwal's assistant, helps complete this amazing team. She is also very kind and does an amazing job. I highly recommend this practice. Having been a dental assistant, I know what to look for in a dentist. Dr Agarwal and his staff exceeded my expectations!!!!

I had my cleaning yesterday and was once again impressed by Erin's professionalism. Erin is amazing. My teeth sparkle after a cleaning with her. She does everything she can to make you feel comfortable. She is positive, assuring, and calming. She's also good for some great laughs. Her technique is gentle and thorough. We had an excellent conversation about brushing and how to make your cleanings easy and improve your gum health by using a Water Pik.

Back for my 6-month checkup and cleaning. I'm so grateful to have been treated by Erin for over 10 years. She's an AAA+++ dental hygienist. She's super friendly, professional and very caring. I look forward to visiting the dentist and I've taken her advice to floss regularly along with using a Water-Pik. Erin's the best!!!
