Hello, Im Dr. Douglas Roth. I was raised in Saratoga, CA. Im a Board-certified general dentist who did my undergraduate studies at Walla Walla College and received my Doctorate in Dental Surgery degree from Loma Linda University in 1986. My father, Robert L. Roth, M.D., was a family physician in the San Jose area for 40 years. I first opened my practice alongside him and practiced in the same office with him until he decided to downsize his practice in preparation for retirement. At this time, I relocated my office to the Willow Glen area of San Jose. I have enjoyed my community of Willow Glen, participating with my family in many local events. I belong to a number of dental organizations: Santa Clara County Dental Society (SCCDS), California Dental Association (CDA) and American Dental Association (ADA). In 2006 and 2008, I was voted by the Willow Glen Resident as Best Dentist in Willow Glen.
I have devoted my professional career to all aspects of general dentistry with special interests in the area of cosmetic dentistry. To keep abreast of the latest developments in dentistry, I have stayed current in the latest techniques through advanced studies in cosmetic composite bonding. My hobbies include running, cycling, mountain climbing, camping, racquetball and piano. Ive been married for 33 years to my wife, Carrie. We have 3 children: Jeffrey, Sean and Kristine.
Kathy is our dental hygienist and has been with our office for 25 years. She was first Dr. Roths dental assistant for 3 years before deciding to return to school. Kathy graduated from Colorado Northwestern Community College in 1992 as a Registered Dental Hygenist.
Kathy attends regular dental seminars to keep updated on the latest techniques and procedures in hygiene. She enjoys educating her patients about proper dental hygiene for a lifetime of good dental health.
It is our goal at Douglas R. Roth, DDS to offer the very best dental care to our patients. We work hard to keep our office up to date with the latest dental technologies. I don't particularly enjoy a cleaning. I do enjoy the professional and friendly atmosphere. Everyone is always easy going and reasonable.

Dr. Roth DDS is an extraordinary Dentist. He has the experience, skill, equipment and staff to fix your teeth. He will do it without pain and with a plan that addresses the dental health priorities. He has my trust and highest recommendation. update: Oct. 2021, 3 appointments for various procedures. He and his staff are extremely competent and experienced. Work is done right. Update: Jan. 2022, 2 more appts for cleaning and check-up. New hygienist has 27 years of experience and is excellent.

I have been coming to Dr. Roth's office for many years and I can't begin to describe how amazing they are. I have had extractions, cavity fills and cleanings and they have made me feel so comfortable for each visit. I am always so impressed with their professionalism and guidance on what I need to do to keep my teeth and gums healthy. I highly recommend them!

I was amazed at the amount of work completed to insure my safety (due to Covid). I was placed in a room that was sealed off from all other areas of the office with a state-of-the- art ventilation system. Dr. Roth has always sat high expectations for himself and the staff. Once again, he raised the bar and met it! Thank you.

Unmatched in my various rounds of dentists. As a person with longstanding, painful dental issues and an unbroken chain of bad experiences with previous dentists, I am wary of ANY dental offices and dentists/hygienists. THIS PLACE, however, has turned my experiences in this realm. Dr. Roth and his amazing staff have worked with my dentist office anxieties, informed me on hard treatment choices, and to be quite honest, really come through for my individual dental treatment goals. Dr. Roth gives a pain-free injection every time, unfailingly. I have definitely come to feel very relaxed in the office, I don't dread seeing them and actually look forward to going back. And that's saying a lot coming from a patient like me. The entire staff have the most calming demeanor always, a very ideal and pleasant environment. I have NEVER had a negative vibe one time. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO ALL.

Dr Roth is hands down the best dentist, I would not go anywhere else. He goes above and beyond to make you feel better. Great staff everyone is so nice and caring. Itravel 3.5 hours just to see him, because there is no one else I'd trust to do my dentistry.

I am afraid of going to the dentist due to various bad experiences in the past. I was referred to Dr Roth because of a rather urgent tooth issue that was causing extreme pain. This place was a godsend! The staff was awesome, the payment plans were outstanding, never found anything like this anywhere else! The actual procedure was very close to being painless and I was actually able to get in and out of there in under 2 hours!
