Love receiving care from Dr. Johnson and his team. I have been going to them for years. Kay and Kerrie are great and friendly front staff! Susie, my dental hygentist, does a thorough job cleaning my teeth! And Dr. Johnson is very knowledgable and always gives me great advice on how to take care of my teeth in between cleanings! Thank you all!

Five stars for Dr. Johnson and his staff! Not only is he a great dentist, he is also a wonderful human being. He is gentle, caring and kind with his patients and does lots of work in the communities of Albany and Scio for underprivileged families though food drives and pro bono dental work. He is also very patient with people that are anxious about visiting the dentist. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Johnson!

Five star rating! I have been a patient at Dr. Johnson's office for the past six years along with my husband and children. We have always been treated like famiy with respect and compassion. This might seem like your standard review comments however this is the best way to describe our true feelings. My husband and I had our children very young and have had to deal with people constantly talking down to us and judging us as parents and as a family. Dr. Johnson and his staff have never once made us feel anything but welcome. They willingly accepted us as patients and have worked with us, easing anxiety as we established good dental habits. They have provided quality work that has yet to fail. This office has always thought of us sending birthday cards, Christmas cards, buddle of joy cards and sympathy cards. They even went along with my daughters idea that Kerry was the tooth fairy as my daughter insisted she was! We plan on continuing care with Dr. Johnson until he retires! I recommend Dr. Douglas Johnson for all your dental needs!

I highly recommend Dr Johnson He is the most gentle, kind and caring dentist. He takes a real interest in his patients well-being and happiness in the finished product. The atmosphere in his office creates a very relaxing.experience which is important to me since I see him several times each year. Dr. Johnson has carefully selected some of the finest quality people to assist him in providing first class dental services.

I should have written this review directly after my experience at this office, five years ago, but it's taken time and perspective for me to realize that how I was treated was genuinely not OK. I made an appointment with Dr. Johnson because a previously cracked and repaired front tooth came apart while eating cold food during a shift at work. The original crack had happened a year prior, in a bike accident. I was 19, scared, unsure of how expensive it would be, nervous about whether I'd be able to keep my job since I'd had to leave mid-shift, and self-conscious of the hockey-player smile I was sporting. His office was the last place I should have gone. I can't speak to the quality of the dental work, I'm sure it was more than adequate, but I've nothing to compare this procedure to. What I take issue with is the ageist and condescending manner Dr. Johnson affected, the entire duration of the appt. He insisted that I must have broken the tooth while I was intoxicated, since I was a college-age student in a town that's renowned for its binge drinking culture (never mind that I wasn't a student myself, and in fact was working full time). Every time I'd start to tell him, "Well, actually..." he'd cut me off, roll his eyes at me, greet my protestations with a 'yeah, sure,' and proceed to tell story after story of college kids that came into his office with a mouth busted by a night of drinking. I could have used some reassurance and comfort on that tough day, and would have settled for someone that just did the job and didn't raise my stress levels. Instead a received a string of patronizing stereotypes that I didn't think I could remove myself from, given the nature of the break. I don't doubt the legitimacy of the testimonials on his site, I'm sure he's a good dentist and that if you're over 30 he'll treat you with a modicum of respect. But if you're any younger than that, count on being discounted, disbelieved, and disrespected. I still dread going to the dentist, because of this experience.

This is a very caring office, they are like a family and will do everything they can to make you feel comfortable. I have gone to Dr. Johnson for almost all his years of dentistry and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a good dentist. This office is number one in my family's book we even go out of our town to go to him.
