Had visited for a tooth extraction ASAP and was pleasantly surprised with an amazing experience. The doctor was very transparent, honest, and reassuring. Would definitely come back again!

I had a tooth which had been treated previously with a root canal procedure literally fall out of my mouth and I was in a panic- it was Sunday and there is no emergency dentist in the area. I called Dr Tavenner's office and spoke with him about my issue and he had me come in immediately- at 5pm on a Sunday! I had a complicated extraction but Dr Tavenner and his wonderful assistant were able to remove the tooth and all infected tissue. I am so thankful for their help!

I called Dr. Tavenner's office at 9PM on a Friday evening seeking treatment for a broken tooth. Even though I was not a current patient of Dr. Tavenner he made me an appointment for Sunday morning. What I thought was perhaps cosmetic because I wasn't in pain ended up being a deep infection due to my tooth being dead. He thoroughly explained my options to me and helped me make an informed decision. I experienced post op pain several times over the course of the three weeks and each time he had me come into the office free of charge so he could make sure everything was healing well. He was always available to answer my questions via phone. His assistant has excellent bedside manner and made my dental anxiety minimal.

Awesome Dentist!! I went somewhere else and they broke my tooth off at the gum and pretty much said oh well. I was in really bad pain and Dr. Tavenner took me in right away and fixed what the other dentist messed up. I would recommended him to anyone who asks!

Do not wait, Dr. Tavenner is your man! My husband was in excruciating pain Saturday night and we were able to be seen on Sunday! Him and his wife had him out of pain, three x-ray images, two options, and a tooth extracted in under 1.5 hours. Do not hesitate, do not take the pain for another minute! Dr. Tavenner called the evening of the extraction at 10 PM to check on him, which was so kind and shows his true commitment to his patients!

Brought my wife in for an emergency and found my new regular dentist! Broken tooth due to a improper root canal by another dentist caused her tooth to decay and bacteria to get in-between the gum area. Very informative, clean office and great quality. Great prices too as our dental insurance doesn't cover much to begin with and they don't accept insurance but always try to submit to the insurance company to see if they will cover anything. Instead of being run through an insurance puppy mill, you pay a little and get a lot more than any other dentist I personally have been to that accepted insurance. Very pleasant to work with as well.

I cannot say enough good things about this man and his practice. I've been having migraines for the past year and couldn't figure out why. The past week in particular had been awful, and yesterday and today I got severe jaw pain. It turned out my partially erupted wisdom tooth was causing the pain, so I found him nearby and saw that he was open and called. As it turned out, he wasn't even in the office today, but he came in AFTER closing time to pull my wisdom tooth. It was quick, painless, and him and his assistant were just so kind and fun to talk to while we were waiting for the anesthetic to set in (another plus, he uses local anesthesia, which is great for me because I have a family history of bad reactions to anesthesia!). On top of all of that, he discovered that my jaw is partially out of alignment, so he gave me exercises to work on it. I literally saw him TODAY and have only done the exercises a few times, and WOW. I can open my mouth further than I've been able to in a long time--honestly, maybe ever--and my jaw isn't clicking anymore. If you need ANYTHING done, I cannot recommend this man enough. Thank you, Dr. Tavenner. I'll definitely be seeing you again!

Never in all the years of me going to the dentist have I ever experienced such an knowledgeable, professional, caring Dentist and Assistant duo! I had an emergency tooth extraction done today I was a nervous wreck when I entered this dentist office but when I left I was all smiles and pain free. Definitely would recommend Dr. Tavenner over and over again!

I was supposed to go to my regular dentist in DC for your typical wisdom tooth extraction. My dentist ended up breaking my tooth in half and sending me home telling me it will heal. Guess what? He left an exposed nerve and even a sip of water felt like all the pain in the world. I couldn't take the pain anymore. I luckily found Dr Tavenner who was able to help me at midnight! I went in there feeling hopeless and left with a smile. The man has such poise and oozes experience. I highly recommend him and his staff.

When other dentists say you need a crown, go to this guy. He can rebuild your tooth and make it look like an actual tooth. Plus his method will last longer because crowns or caps are known to rot. That's the reason I had to have a root canal in the first place.

Worst place ever. Spent 8 hours at this for one tooth extraction amd it took 6 hours for the procedure to be done. That is unacceptable. A malpractice claim should be filed. Not only there for 8 hours but has to return two more times for severe pain. Found out later a tooth was still in the socket.

If I could give them 10 stars I would! I've never been a fan of the dentist & I let a failed root canal tooth go entirely too long which resulted in me needing an emergency extraction. I called Dr Tavenner's office and they were able to fit me in right away-same day and provided above and beyond excellent service! I will continue to use them from now as my regular dentist as well!

Absolutely loved this dentist! I had to have an emergency extraction and it was practically painless. The office was very clean and I felt very safe and taken care of when I was there.He recommended that I get another tooth extracted and I didn't take his advice because I wasn't in pain and couldn't afford another extraction with losing my job to COVID but now that tooth is causing me issues so hopefully I will be able to go back to his office soon!
