I was informed by my dentist that I needed two root canals, she said she was capable of doing them but if I wanted better results to come to Dr. Herrera and it was definitely the best decision I could have done. He has state of the art technology in the office and is extremely knowledgeable. Without a doubt, if you need a root canal, he is the doctor for you. Thank you, Dr. Herrera and your team, for your amazing service.

I am writing this message to share my dislike and bad experience with Dr. Douglas Herrera and his team. Starting by the receptionist who called me 'Honey' 2 times when i first told her that I was not her 'Honey'. I work with customer service (even if I didn't) - calling a customer these names are ultra disrespectful. I train my staff and write with capital letters- NEVER CALL A CUSTOMER "HONEY", "CORAZON", "MI AMOR", "SWEETHEART" ETC. That customer has a name, and if you don't know/can't remember their name, you can say "Mam" "Miss" "Sir", even better when you know their last name so you may call them "Mr./Mrs. White"... My appt was at 9:30am, at 10:30am I still had not seeing the doctor...they sent me a message at like 9:15am (only 15 mins before my appt time) asking if I could go at 10am instead. Of course I was alrdy on my way and I couldn't change my time because of my schedule for the rest of the day. Noting I had made this appointment 3 weeks in advance..! After 10:30am, I politely asked the assistant in the room how long more would take for the doctor to arrive (because I cannot wait too long since I have other appointments for the day), he replied that the doctor had an emergency and that he would be right with me...I think the doctor overheard it from the hallway and after 10 mins he entered the room, did not introduce himself and started speaking to me in Spanish...after hearing no reply, he asked in Spanish if i spoke English, I said i understand some Spanish, but is better to speak in English, I had to ask "Are you the doctor?" they all wear masks and since it was my first time there, I had no idea who was who, which is normal...The doctor examined my mouth, my tooth, explained what he thought it was in Spanish again then after looking at my 'not understanding' face he switched to English which was originally what I had told him that I understand better. I shouldn't have to explain myself, but we are in the United States of America afterall, and English is the first language. The assistant needed to give me protective glasses, and he said "The glasses Mami"- I replied "I am not your Mami". They and the doctor -it seemed- started maybe thinking that I was "problematic" which I really wasn't, the doctor started asking me to answer him with either "yes" or "no", nothing in btwn, but his questions were not for a "yes" or "no" answer, which left me frustrated and now that I think about it..all of this was rude from their part. He then said "well, you can actually say 'I don't know' if you don't remember or don't know"...He left the room so fast when I still had some questions left, I asked the assistant and he said 'only the doctor can answer'...the doctor then answered, but from the hallway, almost meaning like he was in a hurry and had to go. After literally only 5 minutes of "doctor's consultation" that cost me $150.00, i left the place and actually would NOT come back. Is not even about the $150.00, but if I am paying that amount of money to see someone, I expect the minimum of respect when addressing me. In the case of him, the receptionist and the assistant, I can correct you the first time, but if you still call me "Honey" the second time around, the doctor continuing to speak Spanish after I said English, it is either because 1- you don't care or 2- you are not paying attention. I would not want to leave my health in the hands of such a team.

Dr. Herrera and his team are absolutely sensational! I was completely terrified and in agony after having had an incomplete root canal that lead to dreadful infection and complications that only a wonderful doctor like Dr. Herrera could treat. His endless patience and tremendous care of me has been the greatest gift and I am eternally grateful to him and his amazing staff!

Dr Herrera is the best Dr I have ever met. Since the first visit I felt like beiing in a good hands and definitely I was. He is very knowledgeable and is very patient and detailed , he takes his time to analyze doing all test and Xrays necessary before any procedure is done. He really gets sure if Root canal is needed or not! And once it is done, he double checks with an Xray being sure all ends up perfect! (This gave me a peace of mind ) Also he does follow up visits as needed! Eli (from his team) even gives a call next day checking if all is ok.. Dr Herrera and all his team are very nice and Friendly. The office is very clean and modern, love the jelly fishes from the waiting room! I definitely recommend him without hesitation. *He speaks Spanish too!* Thank you Dr Herrera! I am so grateful !

Although Dr. Herrera was able to complete my root canal, it was no small feat. There were several appointments where I was left sitting in the waiting room for over 30 minutes, none of the appointments started on time. One of the appointments was running so late, after an hour I had to cancel and reschedule for the next day. While I must admit, I did also have some scheduling conflicts, I tried my best to let them know well in advance and not leave them in the dark. The doctor is very heavy handed. During my root canal procedure he would stop because he wanted to make sure the office manager was ordering chocolates for his wife for Mother's Day, so unprofessional and my mouth was left wide open -- subject to bacteria and potential COVID! To put the icing on the cake, the doctor asked me if I was a Gogo Dancer (I respect you if you are one, I'm not) and went as far as to pull the video up of one he had seen prior (and liked) -- SUPER unprofessional. I was embarrassed, offended and grateful because this was after he completed my root canal. However, there is a very lovely front desk woman named Elle, if it wasn't for her kindness, appreciation, and amazing bedside manner this place may fall apart. So if you want delayed service, heavy hands, and unprofessional comments he's the doctor for the job.

Dr. Herrera was recommended by my dentist. He and his team were attentive, frequently asked questions about my comfort and worked effectively on addressing my dental problem. One can tell the character of an individual on how they treat people and I was truly impressed with how he treated everyone around him - client or staff The practice is also state of the art.
