We were treated horribly and aggressively particularly by Lori. My son's hygienist was rough and loud, made him fairly uncomfortable. When I nicely asked to be scheduled with another hygienist I was treated in a horribly unprofessional and rude manner beyond what you would think is even possible in a "professional" setting. Then told I could not get an appointment for 6 months. Kept on the phone for 20 minutes to make an appointment. Interrogated about why I had to cancel the appointment. Even though I told them I had flu like symptoms and was staying home and going to get a covid test. I will be going to a better dental clinic.. But I truly feel sorry for those who have no choice and are faced with less than kind gentle care because these people think they can treat you poorly because you don't have health insurance and don't deserve it. A shame. Lawrence, KS and every person in the world deserves better than that.

This place is very unprofessional it's almost like they're doing their training on the poverty. Had a couple of cavities filled when they were done I felt like my bite was off, Was causing pain every time I bit down with back in for them to tell me that it was all in my head. Finally went back again 6 months later for them to tell me that I must be grinding my teeth because their grinded to the nerve on the side they did my cavities.. All I got was this Tough luck into using night guard... I thought this was really wrong to do to people when I paid them over 300$ just to do me worse then what I was.. Also they schedule you out weeks out making you wait so if you ever have an emergency don't expect to get in.

Terrible. We called and made an appointment but they told us we called the wrong place and sent us somewhere else. Now this isnt about their dental services, this is just because of how they rudely told me to go somewhere else.

I really enjoy this dental clinic. My family and myself have been going for our dental work here, and the team is so kind, friendly, and caring. I really recommend this place.

I've had the clinic do a lot of dental work. The staff and dentists have always been courteous, organized, and professional. I'm very grateful for their help, and it was not too expensive to afford. Dental work is always unpleasant at best, but at least the Douglas County Dental Clinic makes the experience as tolerable, if not exactly enjoyable, as they can. 5 stars.

I was dismissed do to 2 missed appointments one that was an emergency and had no control over. The other I had the time written down wrong. They were rude. Julie the director hung up on me just now . she told me that no matter what I said I would not be allowed back ever. My kid or husband could have died that day amd they would have still dismissed me. They havr no heart for struggling mothers either. They put me on a 30 day emergency care. Told me I can come sit and wait to see if they have any openings. As I will by taking the bus there. I can almost guarantee they will not see me and make me sit there. I would give them a zero if i could

This has got to be the most uneducated and disorganized bunch of people I've ever met. Takes forever to get in to be seen and then when you finally so get seen you realize why there is a waiting list because these people are so disorganized it's not funny. They told me i missed appointments I never made and then told me i never made appointments that I did. My teeth are in so much pain right now and rotting even faster then before because of them dropping me as a client when I "missed" an appointment that I actually never really missed because I called to reschedule it. Smh so done with these people and Hannah is the worst of the bunch smh

I had a tooth pulled in 2007 and while I'm greatful for the service it wasn't conducted very well. Little anesthesia was used and I was prescribed zero pain killers after. I'm a T1D and no follow up was made even after I had an infection. The fact that they clinic only serves people under the poverty guideline and not just the un/underinsured for a HUGE city full of later is a huge shame, so many more need assistance.

The hygienist that seen my 3yr old was wonderful. Very patient, kind, and let my son go at his pace, not hers- but she didn't actually clean his teeth at all. I was quite disappointed in the dentists visit as well. There was next to no discussion between him and I and I had to ask for my son to actually get his teeth cleaned, not just play with the instruments. The dentist instructed the hygienist to clean the calculus off his teeth, but when we got home there was still areas missed. My son didn't throw a fit, he let her in his mouth. There's not really any reason to why his teeth didn't get a proper cleaning- other than lack of staff caring. I'm happy with the hygienists attitude on seeing such a young patient, however very disappointed in the actual cleaning that I'm paying for and the less than educational visit the dentist gave us. I feel like I spent money on a job not well done. :/ hoping the next time we visit isn't a repeat.

I keep calling to see if my daughter has an appointment and I just keep getting the front desk voicemail.
