Went in to get an exam, got a cleaning and some photos done. They told me the Dr took off so I couldn't even get an exam? I asked how long to get the work completed and they couldn't give me a straight answer. I called back a week later and they said that it could take weeks to get an answer back from insurance. We went to another dentist and they told us the same exact day what the answer was for my wife's insurance claim. How is that? They also found a bunch of stuff that they didn't. She was told two cavities but the new dentist said there were five total. Maybe Dr Chitsey's people can't read X-rays? I'm gonna see next week what the new dentist says about me. I was also told Dr Chitsey takes off a lot and doesn't have time for his patients. I think he needs a whole new staff up front, maybe come to work and stay all day plus a new website, his is cheap. It explains nothing. Why can't they tell me what insurance will pay and what they will not? Is it not already predetermined in the insurance information? I also think he needs to look for what other dentists are seeing that he's not. That would be a great start! I'm just a patient so what do I know? Somethings not right!

He was supposed to fix some of my cavities but I'm deathly allergic to novacaine, I told him this, and when it came to fix the cavities I asked if they got in the painkillers I could take and they never ordered them. Then he had the aoudacity to ask how allergic am I, I told him cardiac arrest, then he requested a note from an allergy doctor, I'm a grown man that knows what I can and can't take and haven't been since I was 10. There was carpet in the room he was going to fix my cavities in that looked very old and there's no way that's sanitary. And when I got fed up and went to a different local dentist he wouldn't send my x rays over so I had to take more x rays at the other dentist and they found more than what he said I had. If I could rate 0 stars I would, this man and his staff was unprofessional and was a complete waste of money.

After reading reviews and talking to parents who have taken their children here I took my son (who is 4) here and I'm beyond impressed! I ended up switching dentists myself, Dr. Chitsey is THE MAN! He seems to Care about his patients, he is all ears and actually explains in terms you understand. I highly recommend him!

My daughter had a filling come out, and we made an appointment with Dr. Chitsey to have the filling replaced. When we made the appointment, we made it clear that there was a bad filling, and we wanted an appointment specifically to repair the filling. When she arrived at the appointment, Dr. Chitsey walked in, said he did not have time to do the simple fix, and she would have to come back for another appointment. Then he charged $100 for the visit, even though the desired work was not done. When we called to express our discontent for being charged without the desired services rendered, the receptionist became condescending. One of the curious things the receptionist said on the phone was that there was a law against fixing a filling on the first visit. That is a curious thing to say, as I am not aware of any such law. When I questioned her about the specific law or statute that prevents a dentist from filling a cavity on the first visit, she became triggered, and that is when she became quiet abusive. At this point, she just started yelling at me, and then she hung up on me, saying I had no right to ask those questions. It is unusual to run into such poor customer service, especially at a professional facility offering medical services. Really no one wants to go to a dentist in the first place, and when you have to, you certainly do not want to go to be treated rudely. There are plenty of honest, courteous and competent dentists out there . . . choose one of them and avoid the headache of dealing with these people.

Unfortunately, our experience with Dr. Chitsey was not as wonderful as I had hoped. We have been once to his office, and will not be returning. My time with Dr. Chitsey was very short; less than five minutes, to check the work of the hygenist. My husband never saw him during his visit. Most importantly, even though Dr. Chitsey is an in network doctor for our insurance, the office took x-rays that were not covered under preventative care, without expressing that to us first. Very disappointed in our entire experience with the office.

Dr chitsey himself was good to me. I did like him. For that reason only this is rated a 2 star. Otherwise, it would be one star. His staff doesn't pre authorize anything with insurance first. Then when insurance refuses to pay you are stuck with a $6000 bill. I called to complain and hi office staff brushed me off. Then they refused to release my X-rays so that I could seek treatment elsewhere. When I finally went elsewhere Dr. Chitseys office told the other dentist not to accept me as a new patient. Very dissapointed.
