Dr. Harrell grew up on the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay where he attended Bayside Academy. After graduating in 1981, Doug went on to attend the University of South Alabama where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1986 and in 1992 graduated the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in Birmingham with his DMD. Dr. Harrell returned to his hometown of Fairhope Alabama where he joined his father's dental practice. Upon his father's retirement in 1995, after 32 years of practice on the Eastern Shore, Doug took over the practice.Doug, his wife Jo and their two children, Courtney and Douglas, are members of 3Circle Church and enjoy being active in the community whether it be supporting the local arts or cheering for their home team on Friday nights. Dr. Harrell also spends time as a volunteer at the Hope Center, a ministry of 3Circle Church providing counseling, medical, and dental services.
