At Doss Dental we value your oral health not only because we care about your smile, but because poor oral health can cause infection, considerable pain, and overall worsening physical health.Losing teeth affects people physically and psychologically and influences how they look, speak, eat, and socialize. When we lose teeth, we lose jaw structure which can make partials and dentures difficult to wear. We want to provide you with dental care that will promote healthy living in all aspects.
Dr. Doss was born in Memphis TN where he graduated from Evangelical Christian School in 1998. He is a graduate of Samford University where he received a B.S. in Business Management. After finishing college, Dr. Doss worked as a college minister at the University of Montevallo, through Briarwood Presbyterian church in Birmingham, AL. He graduated from UAB dental school and is a current member of the American Dental Association, Alabama Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry. Before starting Doss Dental, Dr. Doss worked in a children's clinic, which provided quality dental care to underserved areas.

I have a really hard time at the dentist office. Today everyone at Dr.Doss' kept me at ease. They explained everything and helped me throughout the experience. So glad I decided to come to them!!

I have high anxiety when it comes to dentist offices and dental work after a traumatic experience with another dentist office. I have never felt as cared for as I did today. Dr.Doss and his staff were so kind. He made sure to listen to all of my concerns, and made me as comfortable as possible. I was also very impressed with how quickly and thoroughly my root canal was done. I have nothing but good things to say about this office and the friendly people working there. Thank you for making one of the most scary things for me, less scary.

Never in my life have I had to pay my copay and then the difference of what the insurance offers the dentist and what the dentist accepts. After I called to question why I'm always charged extra after I've paid my copay, Susie explained that the dentist has the right to collect the difference. She also let me know that I could choose another dentist. Which is exactly what I did.

My dental technician was amazing! I have anxiety at the dentist and very sensitive teeth. She was very gentle and patient with me during my cleaning, and also gave me great advice on caring for my teeth going forward. Dr. Doss was great, as well! Everyone I met was very friendly. Definitely recommend!

Excellent dentist, sweet staff and very fast. I was in and out within 20 minutes and had a tooth pulled. I went to three other dentist offices try to get this tooth pulled out and they didn't want to touch it. All three places wanted to send me to oral surgeon. Called Doss Dental they got me right in the next day and got the tooth pulled out. Couldn't ask for better experience being this was my first tooth to get pulled. The only thing that hurt a little was the shot on the roof of my mouth but besides that I didn't feel anymore pain. Look forward to going back for my cleaning and to get the rest of my dental work done. Thank you Doss Dental.

I am fostering and have realized that it is very hard to find a good dentist that will take pediatric patients on Medicaid. So thankful for Dr Doss being willing to. Excellent jobs with cleaning and follow up care with filling cavities. Would highly recommend Dr Doss and his staff!!

I made a first appointment for a cleaning 2 weeks prior, confirmed the appointment 3 days in advance. I scheduled to be off work to attend the appointment and also arranged transportation. The office called me the same day of the appointment and cancelled my appointment because one of the dental hygienist was out. They wanted to reschedule for the following day after I had made all the arrangements. I explained to the secretary my situation and the arrangements that I had made and she continued to say that they could not see me. They could have understood my situation and scheduled me with another dental hygienist. I refuse to attend a dentist that is unprofessional and cancels the same day of the appointment. I will schedule with another dentist in the area.

Walked in for wisdom tooth pain, and an old root canal that crown came off. The staff fit me in immediately and Dr. Doss did a great job eliminating my pain, and removing my wisdom tooth and extracting my broken root canal. Great environment and very friendly staff.

Dr. Doss is the best dentist I have ever had! I first went to him for a root canal when I was pregnant and he showed incredibly patience and compassion toward my fears and walked me through the process. I went back to him for the crown and it was the best dental experience I've ever had. The process was so neat and he took such great care in his work. His highest concern was for my comfort and well being; great dentist!!! The staff was all kind and helpful. If you can communicate your needs, this is a practice that will deliver. Dr. Doss will also try to deliver what you may not know you need as well for your health and quality of life.

Wonderful people and excellent service! Will be sending everyone I know. Extremely short wait time for appointment, I got there and within 5 minutes I was in the exam room. Even though my tooth extraction was difficult, I felt absolutelt no pain at all and was out within an hour! I'll never go anywhere else!
