The Dorsett Dental Care office was opened in the fall of 2020 by Dr. Josh and Maria Dorsett. Were all about providing our patients with comfort and care. Our office is designed with you in mind from a comfortable waiting area to the latest dental technology. We strive to make you feel completely at ease every time you walk through our doors.
Dr. Maria and Josh Dorsett are your friendly dentists at Dorsett Dental Care. They love the freedom of owning their own dental practice and are grateful for the opportunity to provide life-changing work for their patients. Outside of the office, you can find the Dorsetts spending time with their friends and family at Smith Lake or with their two dogs, Riley and Bean, at a local farmers market.
Maria grew up in Huntsville, Alabama and attended the University of Mississippi. After dental school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry, she went straight to work at a private practice. In her free time, she likes to travel, go out to her favorite Birmingham restaurants with friends, and cheer on Ole Miss football.
Josh grew up in Mobile, Alabama and studied at the University of Alabama. After dental school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry, he attended a one-year residency in Bessemer, focusing on dental implants and dental surgery skills hes proud to bring to Dorsett Dental Care! Josh enjoys playing golf, spending time with his wife and friends, and cheering on Alabama football.

Hi, my name is Tashia Thrasher. I have been in dentistry for 25 years and I enjoy educating patients on their dental health. I also enjoy developing relationships with my patients. I work hard to give them a pain-free experience while in my chair. I have two children, Kolby and Shelby, and a Goldendoodle named Memphis. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my children and my friends grilling out by the pool or by the river. Life has not always been kind to me, and I am most proud of always getting up when I get knocked down. I am thankful and grateful for every day I am given.
Hi everyone, Im Shelby! Im from Woodstock, AL, and Ive been a dental assistant for two years now. In the future, I plan to attend school to become a dental hygienist. In my free time, I enjoy drawing and spending time with my Irish Doodle, Nova.

I am one of those people who does not like to go to the dentist, but who does? Anyway, this is the first time (and I don't want to exaggerate) that I felt very good about going. I had been at Luma Dentistry and it does not compare at all! Service and Care received by the staff has been the best! Fully recommended and totally affordable! I had a repair job done, and I didn't really feel any pain the next day, and my tooth turned out great.

Everyone is always kind and down to earth. Dr Dorsett listens and speaks in a professional manner and explains. From your phone call until end of visit they are awesome .would recommend anyone to go. Timely and informative. Treats you awesome.

When you walk through the door you are family. Doctor Dorsett is very professional in all the aspects of the word. The staff is just as professional. These outstanding individuals make your visit as pleasant as they can. I should know because I am now a new patient. I was exestremly uncomfortable but that team made my visit calm and wonderful. Go ahead and see for yourself. I promise you'll not regret it.

Wonderful experience today at Dorsett Dental Clinic. Dr. Josh took up a lot of time explaining in detail my treatment plan. Also all the staff were very helpful nice and accommodating. Will definitely recommend this practice

I was hesitant on visiting this facility because it is still a fairly new business. However, I am so thankful that I put my hesitance to the side and attended my first appointment. Everyone was so knowledgeable and helpful. I felt welcomed. In this day and times, it's very rare to get good, friendly, and welcoming service. For that, I am thankful and I have already made my follow-up appointment!

First time patient and had no issues with anything..they got me in and out fast (personally that's my kinda place) staff was very friendly made me feel as if I've been going there for years! Dr was super nice he made sure I knew what was up and how we need to fix the issues! He was straight to the point all while making sure I was comfortable. His staff made sure I saw the break down of payments also worked with me to get a payment plan down! they scheduled me for my next appointment with ease. I would definitely recommend it's a 10/10. (To throw in the place is super clean)

This was a great initial experience with a dentist! Tasha did a great job cleaning my teeth and Dr. Dorsett was very professional. Everyone in the office was super nice and accommodating. I will recommend this office when the opportunity arises.

The staff was SOOO friendly and the office was very clean! They listened to all my concerns and addressed all of them and most importantly they didn't make me feel silly for being worried! If you need a new dentist, stop looking and call them.
