Dr. Loganathan was born in India and moved to the USA when he was in grade school. He is a native of Hagerstown, MD, 75 miles west of Baltimore and Washington, D.C. After his graduation from North Hagerstown High School, Dr. Loganathan attended Virginia Tech, where he graduated with a BS in Civil Engineering, Magna Laude. After working as an engineer with Grove Manufacturing Company for nearly 4 years, Dr. Loganathan went to The University of Maryland Dental School, earning his doctorate. Dr. Loganathan practiced in Hagerstown, MD and Parkersburg, WV after graduation before moving to Dayton, OH in 1991.
Dr. Loganathan is active at the Hindu Temple in Dayton. He routinely maintains his continuing education, keeping up with the techniques and technology. He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and welcomes the variety of procedures it provides. Dr. Loganathans primary focus is to care for his patients and make them feel comfortable.
In his free time, Dr. Loganathan enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife have two adult children and a dog. During his time outside of the office he plays tennis, table tennis and follows OSU football.

I haven't been to the dentist in almost 12 years. My first time back they were informing, made me feel very comfortable and treated me really well as if I was family. I highly recommend this practice whether you've been to the dentist or haven't. I'm looking forward to being with these guys moving forward.

I had an excellent experience at this dental office. I hadn't been to a dentist in at least 5 years, nobody at the office shamed me or made me feel uncomfortable about it which I really appreciated. The dentist was pleasant and kind. He gave me great tips for future oral care. I had a teeth cleaning too but from a dental hygienist I believe and this woman was THOROUGH. She constantly checked to see if I was handling it okay and my teeth were just like new afterwards! I dont have insurance so I really appreciate their plan and all it includes for people who dont have insurance. I will stick with this office! thank you!

My boys and husband have started going to DLD and they are SUPERB! My husband has severe dental anxiety, which they helped with, and my boys are fine with the dentist, and their care was great. The Dr asked to meet me at the end of their visit, and I thought that was nice and professional (mine were 15 at the time and old enough to go back by themselves while I waited). I highly recommend this practice!

In 28 years i've never written a bad review but I felt the need to warn others. I went to DLD for a cleaning, I was told before my appointment my insurance would be ran to ensure I was covered, I was never informed other wise until I received a 200+ bill. I was told "sorry you aren't in our network and the girl who ran your insurance doesn't work here anymore", I didn't realize it was my reasonability as a new patient to pay (literally) for a employees mistake. After getting the run around and being told "well I could make you pay the full price for the service at least we're discounting it" I decided to cut my losses because it was very clear DLD was not going to make things right. Very disappointed in this business and the doctor. As someone who works in the medical field that isn't how we do patient care.

We had been looking for a dentist after our last dentist retired. We found Dr. Loganathan and his staff to be very caring and professional. They explained our plan of treatment and scheduled us right away. My husband recently had bridge work done and has been very pleased with the outcome. Dr. Loganathan is kind and gentle. Theresa and Shannon have been outstanding along with the entire office staff. Thank you!

They left me in a very bad situation. They did not attempt to contact me, informing that my insurance was not being accepted anymore - So when I chipped a tooth and called I had nowhere to go. When I questioned the receptionist about the change, she said she was new.... ... this could have all been avoided if they would have just contacted me about insurance changes.

Going to the dentist is miserable all in it self. But when you find a great group of people who are caring and understanding it makes it a little easier. I have been going to DLD for many years now and each time is a pleasurable experience. Their new office is bright and clean, all the office staff from front end to back end are friendly, outgoing and great to work with. I would highly recommend DLD for your dental needs!

This was my 1st visit to Dorothy Lane Dental & the staff was very nice to me. I am a 68 year old who is terrified of Dentists & the staff did their best to put me at ease. Dr Loganathan was very thorough & very nice. I would highly recommend him & his staff.

Website is not accessible, when called office to see what can be done the person in charge of the site said she can read it just fine online. I advised my screen reader is missing and skipping over a lot of information on the front page and she just said they won't spend anymore money on the website they just had redone. Offered an accessibility widget as an option to not changing the site and refused. She didn't want to listen at all. This is terrible...everyone needs a dentist and great customer service. This is about the only office in the area without an option or even a statement on the site regarding. It would've been nice if I had been helped or asked if there was a service I was looking for but it was all attitude and being offended that I even asked. So now I'll be looking into a web accessibility lawsuit. If you don't care about accessibility options...just say that.

The complete team is professional and friendly. It is very clean. I am new to tooth filling and they explained the whole process and make sure I am calm before starting the process. I will recommend anyone who needs dental work to consider this place.
