Dr. Jason Dorminey completed his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1995. He then attended dental school at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, graduating in 1998.
Following dental school, Dr. Dorminey joined the United States Air Force and practiced as a general dentist for two years before completing his orthodontic residence at Wilford Hall Medical Center, finishing his training in 2002. He continued to practice orthodontics for military families in the Air Force at Yokota Air Force Base in Japan. In 2004, Dr. Dorminey completed is Air Force commitment and moved to Elk Grove, where he has been practicing ever since.
Dr. Dorminey regularly advances his education and training in orthodontics through continuing education courses each year in order to continue providing quality care to his patients. As an orthodontist, his goal is to create beautiful, healthy smiles for his patients that will be enjoyed and valued for a lifetime. He is a member of many professional organizations, including:
Dr. Dorminey is heavily involved in his community. He loves the area in which he lives and works, and feels it is important to give back to the community which supports him. Dr. Dorminey is involved with many organizations which identify individuals in need or orthodontic services, and provides pro-bono orthodontic care to meet their needs.
He also supports many local schools, visiting school classrooms to provide demonstrations about the importance of oral health, and supports clubs and local youth sports teams, as they have had a positive impact on many of his patients as well as his own children.
Dr. Dorminey and his wife, Shannon, have three children, Ryan, Ashlyn and Tyler, His hobbies include snow skiing, golfing and basketball, and he and his family love taking in Sacramento Rivercats or Kings games whenever possible.
Holland has been part of the Dorminey Orthodontics family for 11 years. She is diligent in taking care of each patients needs thoroughly and efficient, and enjoys the relationships she develops with patients and families who visit our office. Holland loves coming to work in a family-oriented environment.
Holland has 3 brothers and one sister. She has lived in Sacramento her entire life, and loves spending most of her time with her family and friends. Outside of the office, she enjoys traveling, playing guitar, hiking, camping, exercise, swimming and going to the ocean.
Shannon has been with our team for 11 years. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in communications and public relations and a minor in business. Shannon makes sure that our patients and their families feel welcome in our office, enjoy their visits and know that we are ready and willing to help them in any way possible.
She works diligently to handle all the details for our marketing programs and to support the relationship-management activities for our office. Shannon loves seeing our patients happy and confident in their new smiles, and loves the teamwork and dedication our staff show when caring for our patients.
