Founded in 1994 by Dr. Bergen James, we are a pediatric dental practice, serving children from infancy to young adulthood. Our dynamic team of dentists works in tandem to ensure the best experience possible for each child whom we have the privilege to treat.
She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Irvine and graduated with two Bachelors of Science degrees in Biology and Chemistry. Dr. Lin-Song received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and then completed her specialty residency in pediatric dentistry concurrently with a Master of Science in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences, where she was also selected as Chief Resident.
Dr. Lin-Song received the Distinguished Research Award from the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry; her masters thesis was on comparison of caries detection of direct and indirect digital radiography and laser fluorescence with conventional radiography in the mixed dentition. Dr. Lin-Song is also a distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
As a mother herself, Dr. Lin-Song understands the concerns that parents may have. With her strong foundation in research and basic science with extensive clinical experience, Dr. Lin-Song believes that with careful use of cutting edge x-ray and cavity detection methods, cavities can be prevented and conservatively managed, resulting in the long-term conservation of tooth structure, a positive dental experience, and happier kids.
Outside of the office, Dr. Lin-Song enjoys volunteering her time in local San Francisco Dental Society events through projects like Give Kids a Smile, and each year donates her time and skills to underprivileged children in need of dental care.
Dr. James received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of California, Davis. She continued on to the University of California, San Francisco where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She completed her pediatric dental residency at Harvard and Boston Childrens Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident.
Dr. James is a distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Since she has been practicing pediatric dentistry since 1991, she has had the great pleasure of treating the children of some of her first patients.
Dr. James has been very active in the San Francisco Dental Society since opening her practice in Laurel Village in 1994, serving on its Board of Directors. She served as a Brita spokesperson, sharing the benefits of the Brita filter system and fluoride use.
Dr. James also enjoys giving back to the community, donating free dental exams for hundreds of children each year through the Department of Public Health in San Francisco. Her love of travel and volunteerism has taken her on dental missions to Peru and Moldova. Recently, she traveled to Guatemala and taught the benefits of prevention, trained dental students, and provided urgent dental care to the children of Peronia.

My 6-year old son thanked me for taking him to the dentist today because he likes going so much. He had cavities a year ago, so our family dentist recommended we go here for pediatric dentistry. It's been a wonderful experience. Despite several appointments for fillings in the beginning, which were tough, he still loves coming here. The dentists and staff were great about getting him through that process. Mochi and Sonic (the office dogs) add a lot to the experience. Also, he's been cavity-free since they cleared things up and started him with fluoride every night! I could not recommend them more highly.

The dental care experience is so high quality in every possible way. My children -- and me, someone who has deep anxiety about going to the dentist -- look forward to these visits like we are going to spend time with beloved friends. Everyone at the office from the front desk to hygienists and doctors are very nice, my kids have been seen from their first dentist visits to now preteen to teen age! They teach us a good habit of keeping their oral hygiene in good condition. Thank you everyone at The One Parker office!

The staff at One Parker are amazing. They have such a great setup and process to make the process as painless as possible for your little ones. My girls always had MAJOR stranger danger and after a few minutes even my littlest was at ease her first visit. Now after visit #3 they don't even protest going. Amazing team who truly know how to talk to and engage with kids!

The best dentist experience for kids! I bring both my kids ( age 4 & 6) at the very same time.. the staff brings them to their individual rooms and I just check on both them throughout the cleaning when I walk in each room I get thumbs up all around. Happy kids! The staff is so friendly and engaging, my kids love to go and ask when they get to go back at the end of each visit. The added bonus of the puppy sitting on their lap it makes the dentist experience even more fun for them too. Wonderful place!

We have been going to One Parker for nearly 5 years, since our daughter had teeth to clean! They are friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I was nervous to go during covid, but their protocols are thorough and we felt safe. We miss the dogs, but hope that is something to look forward to returning in the future. All good things and five stars!

This was my daughter's first dentist visit and although it didn't go smoothly, it went much better than I had anticipated and it definitely had to do with the staff at the office. The moment we walked up, we were helped up the stairs (my daughter is 2 and a half, in a stroller, and I'm 7 months pregnant), greeted at the front desk, and led through the exam by very helpful, patient, and knowledgeable employees. I am so grateful because I was definitely dreading her first visit and needing to navigate it while pregnant. Thank you all so much!
