It takes a village to raise a child and it takes a team to deliver quality dental care. The entire staff at Dori Dental Arts is committed to providing genuine and honest service. Our goal is to make your dental experience positive and comfortable from the moment you step into the office. Our team of highly trained professionals will make every effort to ensure you are taken care of and receive the type of dentistry you deserve. Because, lets face it, coming to the dentist rarely makes it on anyones top ten list of things I want to do today.

Art and science have been the two biggest driving forces in Alons life. From an early age, Alon has been fascinated by nature, physics and how the universe works. And before he could speak, he could draw. Its no wonder he became a dentist.

Alon was born and raised in the sun-kissed hills of the San Fernando Valley. Growing up in California afforded him the opportunity to enjoy snow skiing in the picturesque Sierra Nevada mountains and swimming in the cool waters of the Pacific. Always with a sketchbook in hand, Alon captured his thoughts in pictures and pondered the riddles of science.

After graduating from the University of Colorado, Boulder and earning a BA in Biology, Alon switched gears and pursued a career in Hollywood. He first spent several years honing his artistic talents at the Academy Award winning Stan Winston Studio where he sculpted and molded many of Hollywoods memorable characters. Unsatisfied, Alon left special effects and attended Loyola Marymount University where he earned his Masters Degree in Fine Arts. With diploma in hand Alon wrote and directed several award winning short films and commercials. Of course, as you may know, a career in Hollywood does not afford a life of stability and Alon and his wife, Melissa were set to start a family.

Ready for the challenge, Alon attended the highly competitive University of Southern California, School of Dentistry. While there Alon made Deans list every semester and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honors society as well as presented with the Pierre Fauchard Academy certificate. Thirsty for more knowledge, Alon continued his dental education with a year long residency at the Greater Los Angeles Veterans Affairs hospital in West LA. Finally, after working some time refining his skills as an associate dentist, Alon and his wife, Melissa decided to pursue their dream of building a practice together where they can provide their patients with superior dentistry.

Most 5th graders attend career day dressed as policemen, firemen, astronauts, and ballerinas. Melissa went as a dentist. She wore a lab coat and had a mirror and a probe in her pocket. The other children mocked her, but Melissa did not pay them any attention. Her mind was made up; she was going to be a dentist.

Melissa always had a knack for science. Growing up in the San Fernando Valley provided a world of opportunity. However, Melissa opted to explore her world with a microscope and chemistry set instead. During these years, Melissa came to understand the benefits of precision and perfection and learned that she wanted to combine those with her desire to help others. She did get out of the house during her formative years by running track, skiing, wheel-throwing pottery and playing the piano.

In college, Melissa satisfied her wander-lust by studying abroad in Israel for her Junior year, and completed her college education at the University of Colorado, Boulder with a BA in Biology and a minor in Biochemistry. Melissa then went on to study Dentistry and Health Administration concurrently at the University of Southern California. She attained her Certificate in the Management of Ambulatory Care Systems in 2000 and her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2001.

Melissa was interested in gaining as much knowledge as possible in order to treat her patients with the highest level of care. To that end, she completed a one year General Practice Residency at the Veterans Hospital in West Los Angeles. Melissa then entered private family practice and taught as part-time faculty at USC in the Department of Diagnostic Sciences.

In her never-ending quest to accrue more student loans, Melissa decided to once again embark on expanding her knowledge base. With a 6 month old baby boy, Melissa started an Endodontic (root canal) residency at USC. Two weeks after graduating in 2005 as a specialist, she had her second baby boy.Since graduating her Endodontic residency, Melissa has worked in private practice and teaches both a didactic and hands-on Endodontic course to the Residents at both the West LA and Sepulveda Veterans Hospitals. Melissa, mother to two boys, is excited to work with Alon, merging Endodontics with Family and Esthetic dentistry.

You never get a second chance to make a first impression. This saying has merit; however, keeping our patients impressed is our objective. By creating a stunning and welcoming architectural atmosphere, our patients feel calm and at ease. We pride ourselves on maintaining a clean and efficient office which exceeds industry standards in every aspect. We also take great effort to reduce our carbon footprint by being paperless and using extremely energy efficient products.

Horrible experience with the receptionist, i will reiterate what i mentioned before. The receptionist is condescending and rude. Without mentioning her name she does not belong there greeting clients. When you are the first person that you see when you arrive at Dori Dental it should be pleasant and not confrontational. I have had a great experience with Dori Dental in the past and regret to say this will be the last time my wife, myself or my brother go here. Any further referrals to this Dentist will go to another reputable and more hospitable PPO approved Dentist.

Rude receptionist who talks with a weird rude voice when I asked her why she was speaking to me like that, she said that's my voice. Very rude! Soi made an appointment which i had to cancel. So just called up to make an appointment and was told to find a new dentist because I didnt like the receptionist voice and I cancelled my appointment. WOW!!! Nice way to treat customers. I found this place money hungry anyways so will find a more reasonable dentist with nice staff. Avoid this place!

Nothing but the best. I was one of the people has really really bad experience at dental office since I was little . I was always so afraid to go to dental office for whole my life . Even though I have bad tooth ache I will take some advil and hold the pain because I was so afraid , it was that bad . And then my husband introduce me this office . I was so nervous and so scared . I told both of Dr.dori about my past experience. And they promise me no tears and scream in this office. And they keep the promise and also all their team was very nice they really worry about me take care about me I end up feel like I'm home . After my amazing experience I decide to become a dental assistant because I wanted to become like them so I can make patients feel comfortable like how I feel at this office . So appreciate for everything what youguys did for me and for all the patients . This office is the best !

Dori and Melissa make an amazing team! I appreciate their kindness and expertise. I appreciate that they do have newer technology with X-ray and other procedures in the office. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, and the facilities are very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend these two.

Love this dentist. I have recommended two people and they also loved it. The staff are very friendly which I find to be calming when your not a huge fan of the dentist. I've had multiple cleanings over the last couple years here and the hygienist has always been fabulous and very thorough. They explain what they are doing! Tonight I had a mini procedure done and anytime a needle is involved I don't do well, my anxiety goes through the roof. The dentist was lovely, calmed me down and assured me that I wouldn't even feel the needle. He was right! He is also very thorough and explains what he is doing. I appreciate all the staff and love this dentist so much! Thanks for keeping me as calm as you could today for my procedure.

I came in for consultation. Prior to scheduling the appointment, I explained the problem. Spoke to them few times over the phone. The office failed to mention there is a FEE if you come for consolation. They also failed to mention that the endodontist will not examine me if I don't get Full mouth 3D x-rays. I wound up spending $400 out of pocket that day! On top of it, they charged my insurance about $4,000 for the ex-ray. A total Reap- off dental office Shame on you for taking advantage of people. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE TO ANYONE The 1 Star is for posting They don't even deserve that!

Dori Dental Arts is the best dental office I have ever been too, with very skilled dentists to boot. The office looks and feels like a high priced lawyer's office and the friendliness of the staff matches the posh surroundings. The procedure itself, a root canal cleaning, was done efficiently, comfortably and with every step of the way explained in detail by Dr. "Dori". If every dental office was like this, no one would be apprehensive to come to the dentist. If every medical office had such friendly staff and was so nicely appointed, the overall US healthcare system would go up several notches. I would highly recommend Dori Dental Arts to anyone.
