Dr. Garrastazu, better known as Dr. John, earned his dental degree at University of Florida, College of Dentistry in 1993. He completed a general residency at the University of Vermont, Fletcher Allen Hospital. He was a resident at the Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Department at the University of Miami before leaving to pursue Pediatric Dentistry as his lifes calling.
Dr. John grew up in Miami and attended Columbus High School where he graduated in 1993. He has two boys, one at Belen Jesuit Preparatory School and one at Columbus High School, which makes the home interesting. When not working Dr. John enjoys boating, golfing, and spending time with his boys.
Dr. Acosta, also known as Dr. Damian, earned his dental degree at Nova Southeastern University in 2011. He joined Dr. John and team in May of 2013. Dr. Damian grew up in Miami where he attended Coral Gables High School. He was a quarterback for the football team and homecoming king. When he isnt working, Dr. Damian enjoys video games and music. (He is a very good guitar and drum player!) He also enjoys going to the gun range with his father.
Since 1990 Miriam has worked by Dr. Juan Garrastazu side as both a Dental Assistant and surgical assistant. Brightening the smiles of children is not only her job, but her passion. Miriam has become an office favorite for many children, especially children with disabilities. If this special lady is cleaning your teeth she might just ask you about your latest bite to eat. Miriam is a lover of good foods, especially churrasco, pastelitos de coco and chocolates!
