Dr. Porterfield began her career in dentistry in 1980 as a dental assistant, office manager, and a new mother. Raising two children with her husband, she returned to school to receive her doctorate from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville-School of Dental Medicine. She acquired her Granite City practice in January 2000. Her two children are now married with her daughter living locally, and her son living in Okinawa Japan with his wife and two children. When she is not at the office, she spends her time with her husband, Rick, a Scott Air Force Base retiree, her two dogs and cat. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends. Donna is active in her church and enjoys meditating and practicing Reiki outside of dentistry.
Lyndsie Thurnau graduated from dental hygiene school in 2013. Prior to assuming the responsibilities of hygienist, she was employed by Dr. Porterfield part-time as a dental assistant and office manager. She is happily married to Stefan, a former United States Marine from St. Jacob, Illinois, who is currently employed as a land surveyor. Lyndsie and her husband have one son. She enjoys cooking, running and traveling. She is actively involved in her church and serves on the board of the PTO for their son's school.
