Dr. Atkins takes his dentistry very seriously, and works extremely hard to stay current with the latest procedures, materials and dental-related health issues. He wants the very best for his patients, and likes to say that he does for his patients what he would do for anyone in his family. He enjoys traveling, photography, and loves animals. Did we mention he has both turtles and fish?
Christy has been with Dr. Atkins since 1987. She has enjoyed watching the patients and their families grow along with the practice. She enjoys her co-workers and the friendly atmosphere of the office. She is a huge hockey fan and enjoys attending all the Anaheim Ducks' games. She likes music and going to concerts, reading and spending time with her husband, son and two dogs.
Kim has been with Dr. Atkins since 2002. She started as the office assistant and is now our Registered Dental Hygienist. She shares Dr. Atkins' passion to educate our patients and provide the best quality care. She enjoys going to the sand dunes and camping with her husband and family.
Irene is a Registered Dental Assistant and has been with Dr. Atkins' practice since 1992. She enjoys seeing patients and their families grow in our practice. She loves dental forensics, watching forensic shows, gardening, the Green Bay Packers, the Beatles, collecting records and is a huge Star Wars fan. She also enjoys spending her free time with her son, husband and two dogs.

I visited Dr Issa's dental office for the second time today. He took over the practice from Dr. Atkins and the likewise retired Dr Dahlin in the office next door, both of whom were my previous dentists. Besides excellent cleanings by the hygienist I felt I received excellent care and concern from Dr Issa in todays exam. He has also remodelled one of the two offices already which features a flatscreen TV and what must be a 10 foot long built-in aquarium in the new, marble tiled reception area and fresh new operatories with new equipment and similar large flatscreen TVs with beautiful soothing travel flyovers with likewise soothing low volume music. Married to a now retired hygienist of 44 years and having heard a lot of stories over the years, I couldn't be more pleased to have chosen to stay with Dr. Issa's office and the excellent staff!

My young daughter needed several deep cavities filled. I was highly impressed by how Dr. Issa interacted with her. He was very patient and gentle. Dr. Issa, his hygienist, and assistant all expertly distracted her when they needed to, and kept her engaged and calm so she was comfortable with her procedure. Dr. Issa also took time to clearly explain to me his recommended treatment plan and what to expect. I would recommend Dr. Issa and his staff to anyone looking for a dentist for themselves or their child.

This office has always felt like coming home. The staff are all excellent and have been there for decades. Dr. Atkins is just like a good friend. He always takes the time to ask about me and my family. I really appreciate that he stays current on the dental field and always has new things to share.

Dr. Atkins and his staff continue their excellent safety protocols in protecting patients and staff from Covid-19. I continue to be impressed by the precautions Dr. they all take to protect everyone's health. Their COVID-19 protocols are superb and made me feel safe and comfortable. As always, my dental care was excellent. I had a chipped tooth that I asked to have filed, but after Dr. Atkins' exam he identified two chipped teeth and recommended we build them up with filler for strength and longevity instead of filing them down further. I am really pleased with the results. He was able to do the painless procedure the same day, which I really appreciated. Kim, the dental hygienist continues to be exceptional; she is thorough and gentle at the same time. I am so glad that Dr. Atkins is my dentist and I highly recommend him if you are looking for a dentist.

Dr Atkins is awesome. He is friendly, professional, experienced and did I mention friendly? The Hygienist is exceptional. Very nice receptionist. Overall a great experience. I would highly recommend this office.

Dr. Atkins was extremely thorough in his examinations, diagnosis and treatment. He had images of my teeth from prior visits. He showed me what needed to be treated right now, which ones would be closely monitored and evaluated in the following months for signs of improvement or degradation. Treatment was completely pain-free. I was at ease and comfortably relaxed during the whole process. It felt more like a spa appointment than a dental visit. His staff was excellent as well. Courteous and patient. I could not be happier. Thank you.

I moved and needed a new dentist after having same dentist 15+ years. Friend recommended Dr. Atkins. I am SO PLEASED!. i appreciate his expertise, efficiency, and kindness. Hygienist Kim and other persons in office (Irene & Christy) are also thorough and kind and efficient. They addressed all my questions and concerns. ADDITIONALLY, i am grateful for careful covid precautions taken. I cannot believe that i knew after first thorough appointment that i found PERFECT DENTIST and staff. Also, i had a concern after first appointment and was scheduled NEXT DAY. I am totally confident with my new plan. Thank you !!

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Atkins for about 25 years. If ever one of us needed to see an out-of-state dentist, it made us appreciate Don all the more. Not only is he caring, gentle, and funny (love the cornball jokes), but he is cutting edge in his field. He keeps abreast of all the latest technology and skills. Combine this with a cozy environment and fabulous staff -- Irene and Christy love him so much they've worked in the same place for decades! -- and you create the perfect dental experience. A big shout-out to Kim also, who is a thorough hygienist with a soft touch. Give Dr. Atkins a visit, and much like all the people my family has referred, you will undoubtedly fall in love.

Most thorough teeth cleaning Ive ever had. Almost felt like I was getting a deep cleaning but that's just how good they are. Dr. Atkins explains everything to you and is very patient. Glad I found him.

As always and as no coincidence, every time I'm @ Dr. Atkins for anything I get the greatest service by him and his staff! I've been their customer for more than 3 years now and this change I made to his office has definitely been my best option ever speaking of dentists.
