Well, there wasn 't a specific 'aha!' moment where Dr. Milner realized he wanted to be a dentist. However, Dr. Milner had a close family friend whobecame his dental mentor and eventually convinced him to give dentistry a shot (pun intended). Over time, Dr. Milner spent some time shadowing in dental offices and decided that this was the career path he wanted to pursue and he hasn 't looked back since!
While earning his dental degree at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, he completed an externship at Kernan Hospital at the University of Maryland, where his work was focused on pediatric dentistry. Afterward, he had the opportunity to work with geriatric patients at Levindale Hospital. Subsequently, he practiced for six years as an associate dentist in Hanover, PA, where he learned that he truly enjoys working with patients of all ages.
Over his career, Dr. Milner has completed advanced training in many areas of dentistry, including dental sleep medicine and treating sleep apnea. He has also earned fellowship with Implant Pathway, a training program in implant dentistry. He is also a certified provider for Invisalign.
