Dr. Hebeka was born and raised in the Detroit area. He attended Wayne State University on a four year, full academic scholarship and earned a bachelor degree in Biological Sciences in 1995. His interest in health care led him to pursue a career in dentistry. He attended the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in Ann Arbor, and in 2000, he was awarded his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
Following completion of dental school, Dr. Hebeka chose to continue his education in a General Practice Residency at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. This was an intensive training program, which emphasized advanced training in General Dentistry, Oral Surgery, trauma care, Endodontics, Pedodontics, and the care of medically compromised patients. His training also included rotations in General Medicine and advanced courses in Pharmacology, Anesthesia, and the treatment of patients with dental anxiety. Dr. Hebeka is board certified to perform IV and oral sedation in the dental office setting.
In 2013, in an effort to continue to offer the best possible care to his patients, Dr. Hebeka continued his education with completion of the CIRP (Comprehensive Implant Residency Program) in Birmingham, Alabama. This was an intensive surgical program emphasizing dental implant placement, advanced bone grafting, and sinus lifts to facilitate implant placement.
Dr. Hebeka holds membership in the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, and the Toledo Dental Society. He also is a member of the Northwest Ohio chapter of the Seattle Study Club. Throughout the year, he attends numerous continuing education courses through these organizations, in order to keep current on the latest in patient care and procedures.
He currently resides in Perrysburg with his wife Julie, son Thomas, and twin girls Eliza and Anna. In his free time he enjoys working out, coaching kids sports, traveling, reading, and following pro and college sports.

I was devastated when my tooth broke and had to be removed. I contacted Dr. Hebeka and he was able to complete an implant procedure without issue and my smile is beautiful again. My experience with Dr. Hebeka was excellent, he was knowledgeable and skilled. He also has a highly trained staff that make you feel comfortable in very modern sanitized facility . Highly recommend Dr. Hebeka and the entire staff. I've seen him for years and have always had a great experience. I've had regular cleanings as well as procedures and each time have left feeling confident that my teeth were well taken care of! Never dread going to the dentist here. I was in the search of a new dentist in my area. There was a very long wait list at many offices that I called. When I called Doctors Phipps, Levin, Hebeka, & Associates, Ltd, I was able to get an appointment within 30 days but was also placed on a cancellation list; I was called within a weeks time. As soon as I made my appointment Elizabeth was wonderful at getting me in as soon as possible. When I went in for my first visit it was for a cleaning, x-rays and exam. Josie was my hygienist that cleaned my teeth. She was so nice to me, and did an excellent job and my teeth feel so clean! And then I got to meet Dr. Shevlin who was amazing and so kind as well! At the end of my visit I was scheduling my future appointments with Katrina and she was also super friendly and very helpful! This office is by far one of the best experiences that I've had in my adult life! Thank you all so much for such a great experience and I look forward to having my dental care needs in your hands! I will not go anywhere else! Dr. Hebeka is wonderful. My mouth went into a series of total rehab! From surgery in April, to him standing by my side making sure everything was spot on. This doctor is a perfectionist and cares about your comfort. If I need IV sedation he does it. If I need longer time to get my mouth numb, he takes that time. I take comfort in knowing that he does it, he doesn't need to bring someone else to do IV sedation..He does it himself! The staff is marvelous, warm and welcoming. I live in Toledo, and it is totally worth the drive!

My 10 yr old daughter needed a root canal. After multiple offices denying me for having to pay out of pocket and her young age, this office got us in quickly. I've been going to Dr. Hebeka for YEARS. I've never had a bad experience. I've recommended him to many family members and friends, and would recommended him to anyone. The dental techs are great, and make you very comfortable. Dr. Hebeka takes the time to make sure you are informed of the procedure and what exactly he'll be doing. I don't think anyone would have a fear of dentist's if they went to this practice.

Dr. Shelvin and Ashley made me the most comfortable I could be in an uncomfortable situation!! Ashley got me set up with a lumbar pillow to help me be comfortable and headphones with my favorite music to help subside my anxiety. The whole experience was done before I knew it and I was seriously so relaxed.

Today was the best experience! Dr. Hebeka is always super fantastic and such a great dentist, but today he had a new hire assistant which is an assumption I made based on guiding her and teaching her while they were working my teeth. I've encountered many doctors in my healthcare world, with very few who take the time to teach, listen and explain things to staff with the patience and grace he displayed. It was very refreshing to know he's invested in not only his patients but also his staff! Highly recommend this office for all dental needs!!

I had my wisdom teeth taken out by Dr. Hebeka. The staff were very helpful in making sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. They came back and gave me extra numbing injections to insure I wouldn't feel anything. The staff as a whole is friendly and welcoming. I have never had a negative experience here as the dental hygienists are personable and gentle. Would highly recommend this dental office to anyone who is even a little afraid of the dentist.

Ashley was Dr. Shevlin's assistant twice this year! Once she helped with an extraction in January, and today with removing a temporary crown!! Very professional and loves working in the area if extractions !! Have never met a person that has such a strong desire to ease patient needs when this procedure is mandated! Along with Dr. Shevlin who informs you of every step happening, I couldn't be more pleased with their mannerisms in this career field!! Dr. Shevlin is such a great mentor for all the dental people she works with at the office!! One more thing- Dr. Shevlin went out of her way for me in January with calls repeatedly to my husband for an unusual tooth situation !! Feeling very blessed to have these people offer their services in our community!! Thank you!!

I, along with all of my families (adults and kids), have been a patient of this dentists' office for 12 years. I can always rate 5 out 5 for the all aspects, the quality of service, staff kindness, communication, and etc. I trust the doctors (Dr. Hebeka and others) and all of the staffs because they genuinely care patients. This office understands their role in the patients, not only adults but also kids in their lifetime. My 12-year old son, who was very sensitive and scared of strangers, has been growing up to like his visit to the dentist's office. This tells how great this office is. I always recommend this office to my friends, colleagues, neighbors, and others!

I chose Doctors Phipps, Levin and Hebeka over 15 years ago and I cannot say enough good things about everyone in this office! I highly recommend this dental practice to anyone looking for a fantastic dentist. (Especially people who are cowards like me. ) They bend over backwards to make you feel comfortable and at ease. They treat their staff well and do great philanthropic work as well!
