Our practice philosophy is one which utilizes a holistic approach to dental care, integrating oral health with overall physical health and well being. Our dental team feels that our main objective is to educate our patients, young and old, on the importance of good oral health and the positive effects good hygiene can have on a patients general health and quality of life. Many recent medical research studies have indicated that oral hygiene has a direct relationship to many other health concerns such as diabetes, obesity and coronary/vascular disease. Treating patients on a comprehensive level spending time with each patient, and acting as a personal dental advisor our team can insure our patients with have beautiful smiles and exceptional health for life.
Dr. Malinconico is first and foremost a gentle and caring dental practitioner. His years of experience enable him to provide the best comfortable care possible. He has been practicing in the East Rock Neighborhood for over 30 years serving the Yale community and surrounding suburbs. Dr. Malinconico embraces a life-long commitment to dental excellence and family care. Dr. Malinconico combines cutting edge clinical and chair side skills to provide each patient with individualized care in a warm and welcoming environment.
Dr. Malinconico graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1986. He has been practicing dentistry in New Haven for 35 years. Dr. Malinconico has completed many courses in continuing education on the newest technologies currently being utilized in both implant and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Malinconico is a member of the American Dental Association, the Connecticut State Dental Association and the New Haven Dental Association. Dr. Malinconico has been married for 31 years and has two children, one lives in Boston & one lives in NYC. His interests include skiing, golfing, racquetball and fitness training.
Lisa is our office manager and has been with our office since 2003. She can answer all your insurance and financial questions quickly and efficiently. Lisa graduated from Hamden High and attended Central Connecticut State University. She enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Theresa started with our practice in 2002 as an administrative assistant. She then attended Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Since her graduation she is a full time hygienist in the New Haven area and works in our practice on a part time basis. Theresa enjoys working with children and the elderly. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and dog Mookie.
Tressyn enjoys helping patients like you meet their dental needs and providing you with comfort during your dental visit. Tressyn attended Sacred Heart Academy and Fones School of Dental Hygiene at the University of Bridgeport. Tressyn has been a hygienist with our team since 2003. When she is not at work she enjoys baking, reading, scrap booking and spending time with her family.
Denisa is a certified Dental Assistant and has been working chair side with Dr. Malinconico since 2003. She will immediately put you at ease with her smile and warm manner. Denisa loves talking to, helping and comforting her patients. Denisa is from Slovakia, she loves to travel and spend time with her two children.
