Born and raised in Chicago, IL, Dr. Payne is a graduate of Howard University in Washington, DC with a degree in Microbiology and a minor in Chemistry. During his undergraduate years, he worked at the prestigious National Institute of Health (NIH) where he worked in a cancer research lab. After his undergraduate studies, he attended the University of Southern California Dental School where he was a member of the Delta Sigma Delta dental fraternity.
Upon finishing his dental studies, he moved to Phoenix in 2000. He has been practicing family and cosmetic dentistry in the Phoenix area since then. He also volunteers at the non-profit outreach dental program, Christinas Smile, where he provides dental care for under-served children in the greater Phoenix area. In his free time, he is very active and spends time with his fianc and his rambunctious two sets of twins, Max, Micah, Sydney, and Sawyer.

Without a doubt the best dentist I have been to in my entire life and I am almost 60. Everyone there is incredibly friendly and takes their time with you and explains everything. Dr. Payne is humorous, kind, humane, and an excellent dentist. Very happy I found this place after a recent bad experience of many years with a prior dentist.

I've been coming here for about 5-6 years and it's the longest over been with a dentist because of how wonderful this place is. My entire family comes and they always make us feel welcome and like family to them. The entire staff is amazing and I will recommend them to anyone. His name is Payne. Which may sound extra daunting, for a dentist. However, the care he and his staff provide is the complete opposite of pain! One could almost call it a delight. Almost. No dentist visit is truly delightful Okay, but seriously, if you are looking for a dentist who truly cares and actually listens; who helps calm any anxieties and really knows their stuff; then your search is over!!
