Dr. Doan has been a resident of Orange County for the last 30 years and has been practicing here for the last 13 years. Dr. Doan received his undergraduate degree in Information and Computer Science from the University of California at Irvine (UCI) in 1988, and his dental degree from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Dentistry in 2000. To bring his patients the latest advancements in dentistry, Dr. Doan constantly updates his knowledge and skills through advanced education courses in implants, cosmetic dentistry, and other fields. He is a Lumineers certified dentist and has extensive experience in Nobel Biocare implant placement. Dr. Doan affiliates with many dental organizations such as the American Dental Association (ADA), the California Dental Association (CDA), the Orange County Dental Society (OCDS), and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD).Dr. Doan is active in community services. Since 1993, Dr. Doan has been a volunteer with the Social Assistance Program for Vietnam (SAP-VN), a non-profit organization whose primary objective is to provide direct relief to poor and needy people, especially orphans and handicapped children, mainly in health care, education and social welfare. Between 2003 and 2012 he served as a member of the board of directors of SAP-VN. Since 2002, he has been in charge of organizing annual medical mission trips to the rural areas of Vietnam, providing primary medical and dental care to people who cannot afford even basic treatments such as antibiotics or dental extractions. Dr. Doan participated in the Remote Area Medical (RAM) Volunteer Corps several times when it came to Los Angeles (RAM LA). He provided externship to dental students from the University of Boston, and mentored pre-dental students from UCI who sought career in dentistry.Dr. Doan and his wife, also a dentist, and their 2 daughters, Britney and Nikki, live in Turtle Rock, Irvine. He is an avid cyclist, photo enthusiast, and a certified SCUBA diver.
At Doan Dental, we use state-of-the-art CBCT imaging technology to capture 3D scans of your mouth. This machine is a low-radiation digital scanner that encircles your mouth and recreates a virtual 'model' of your smile. Once the scanner captures a 3D model of your oral anatomy, we will carefully evaluate your bone density and structure to create a computerized guide that shows the right position for implant placement.
Computer-guided implant surgery is better than traditional methods, as it helps in more precise and accurate placement of dental implants. With this guided implant surgery, the dentist takes computerized tomography (CT) of the jaw, through which 3-D images of the oral structures are created. A special computer program uses this information for creating a surgical template to plan the exact locations for placement.
Due to the precise surgical template, the treatment can be completed much faster than that of traditional dental implant surgery; hence the patients can recover soon as well.With the help of detailed scans, the dentist can easily explain to their patients about the dental implant procedure and also educate them regarding oral health. The anatomical structures of the teeth, jaw, and surrounding tissue could be seen clearly, helping to reduce the risks involved in having unexpected complications during the surgery.

I have lived in California since 2014 and Dr. Doan has been my only dentist because he is the best. Very informative and TRUTHFUL. I am very loyal to him and his team. I have had everything done by him from cleanings, cavities filled, root canals and most recently, Invisalign. I love my results and I cant thank Dr. Doan and his team enough for all they have done for me over the years!

I've been going to Dr. Doan for about five years. Every time I have come in there, I've never felt like he was rushing off to the next patient. He spends a good amount of time and he is never in a rush. My wife and I were just talking about him earlier this morning. I highly recommend them.
