Dixon Orthodontics is a family owned business, not a large dental corporation. We place our emphasis on providing honest, conservative, state of the art care for our patients, who are also our neighbors and fellow community members. Because we live here and send our children to school here, we want to see our community thrive and to make a positive contribution by providing high quality orthodontic services.
Dr. Dixon was born and raised in rugged South Central Idaho. He grew up camping, fishing, mountain biking, and especially skiing. His interests include astronomy and technology, having earned a minor in computer science. But, his true calling is health care.
Prior to becoming an orthodontist, Dr. Dixon graduated with high honors from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry at Virginia Commonwealth University, earning his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. After practicing general dentistry for two years in the metro Richmond area, he completed his certificate in orthodontics at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Dixon is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics.
Dr. Dixon enjoys the process of helping patients achieve their goals and improving their lives. He continually seeks opportunities to learn new skills and keep up with trends in orthodontics. Dr. Dixon lives in Superior with his wife, Claire, and their four children.
I was born and raised here in Arvada. I love the outdoors-walking, working in my yard, and going to the mountains. I have one son who works for Arvada Fire as a paramedic. I spend as much time as I can with him and his family. I love orthodontics. I have been working in the orthodontic field for 29 years. I love seeing and getting to know the patients and parents each month. And I love to see the happy smiles when patients get their braces off!
I have been a dental assistant since 2015, and Im really passionate about dentistry. My favorite thing about working at Dixon Orthodontics is getting to know my patients and watching them grow throughout their treatment! In my free time I love spending time in the sun, traveling, drawing, and staying active!
I am originally from Arizona, and moved to Colorado after my time with the United States Army was over. My job in the military was dental assisting and that was where I grew to appreciate the dental field. I love working in ortho because it brings me joy to know that I helped create beautiful smiles. In my free time I enjoy going on hikes with my boyfriend and three adorable dogs.
I fill various roles in the office, including bookkeeper, marketer, human resources manager, treatment coordinator, and overall systems coordination. My favorite thing about working in the dental industry is being able to reach out to our surrounding communities and get to know teams, clubs, fellow business owners, fellow dental professionals, school administrators and volunteers, and all of our neighbors. We believe in treating every patient with respect and practicing orthodontics with integrity, and I am happy to share that with everyone who walks in the door.

All three of my children have gone/go to Dr Dixon for all their orthodontic needs and I cannot imagine taking them anywhere else. Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful, and they explain what will happen before it does and answer every question. With Dr Dixon and staff, I know my kids are in exceptionally safe and capable hands. My seven year-old was very scared at the prospect of getting braces, but after her initial consultation with Claire and Dr Dixon her fear subsided and she looked forward to it. I very highly recommend Dixon Orthodontics!

My bottom semi-perm retainer came loose after several years. Dixon Orthodontics got me right in and took care of it. They were efficient, professional and nice people to be around. Dr. Dixon answered all my questions, was informative and gave me all my options for the continued care of my teeth. Thank you for fitting me into your busy day!

I don't normally leave reviews but I've had a very negative experience with Dixon Ortho. I just needed a mold done to replace a broken retainer, which I was assured would take less than 30 mins. When I got there, they insisted on doing full x-rays, before and after photos and a full evaluation. Whole thing took over an hour and made me late to work. Later I asked the tech what they needed to replace my existing retainer and she said just a mold? They clearly added the evaluation and x-rays to charge my insurance more for no reason. To top it off, a few weeks later I needed them to sign a form saying I had x-rays and an inspection done and they refused without an additional visit ($$$). Shady business!

Brought my stepson and stepdaughter here prior to the COVID thing (catching-up on reviews). Place was close-by and seemed to have good reviews. Boy was I wrong. Except for the receptionist, the staff was NOT kid friendly. Dental hygienists were rude to them, Doctor was disinterested, and at the end, the Office Manager lady was rude to me about the kid's insurance and hassled me if I could sign as the stepparent or not. Not coming back....Question the accuracy of these reviews on here....

I am Aaron I am 12 years old, I got my braces done at Dr. Dixon's office in superior and I love my braces. Dr. Dixon is great. Dr. Dixon, his wife and his staff are always nice to me. I would recommend them if you would like to have braces.

Dixon Orthodontics is a truly an amazing family business. My son just got his braces here and in only after two adjustments we can already see results, my son is always excited to go for his visits and I couldn't ask for more as a parent. I highly recommend them.

We were referred to Dr. Dixon through our dentist and we have had a wonderful experience with both our kids. They will need to continue orthodontic care and I would not bring them anywhere else. The staff are great with young children and visits are very efficient.
