Dixon Landing Family Dental Care has been offering Family Dentistry since 2005. Our office provides a warm, inviting family atmosphere, and uses the latest in dental technology. Dixon Landing Family Dental Care strives to provide a family atmosphere for our patients. Our staff is sensitive to patients needs and make every effort to be accommodating. Our safe but effective paperless system saves time and environmentally friendly. Dr. Maung Maung Ryan Thaw graduated in May 1987 from the Institute of Dental Medicine in Rangoon, Burma. From this humble beginning, he went abroad and practiced in South Africa before coming to the U.S. Over the course of his career, he has gained international recognition in the field of dentistry. As a general dentist, he prides himself in his meticulous work and strict conservative approach to dentistry.
Dr. Thaw uses the latest state-of-the-art dental implements and processes, and continually participates in continuing education, to add to his 22 years of experience. In his free time, he spends it with his two daughters and wife at the golf course. His staff is highly trained to meet our patients needs and will help with financing issues to make it possible for anyone to take care of their teeth without breaking the bank.

I love this place I've been coming here for years. The office staff is super friendly. Dr. Thaw is patient with my children. Great atmosphere great Doctors and they always remember our birthdays!

Below: 2020 Devastated by Cerec work done from Dr. Thaw. on tooth No. 19 due to oversize in length, width, and height, the next tooth No. 20 starts to get inflamed along with tooth No, 19 today as the pictures shows below by constantly pushing away by tooth No. 19. At the beginning they were constantly in pain from the push by the tooth No. 19 for over 2 months and Dr. Thaw refuses the adjustment for reduce the size in any dimensions, Dear reader, I have done many crowns in the past, all Drs. would adjust my bites when the pains occurs. When Dr. Thaw refused to do so, I was in shock or disbelieve but giving a benefit of doubt due to his credential as the title as a position assistant UCSF professor. It is a shame that UCSF would hire someone who has no compassion, no ethics, or no professionalism. What is a joke! After refusing the size of the crown on tooth No.19, that Dr. Thaw caused. I went to beg other Drs can help me. However, other Drs. are afraid of be responsible for it after hearing my story. Suggested me that I should go back to Dr. Thaw. When I went back to Dr. Thaw, he still insisted that he would not reduce anything even he saw the swollen. Fortunately I found a Dr. would do that for me. The pain disappeared at the moment buffing down the crown. However, there is no other way to reduce the width and the length. Not only that the entire side of my left wings upper and lower bite completely messed up. Since my right size wings is also messed up by Dr. Thaw' s work, tooth no. 2 and no. made both oversized in length, width, and height, also cut short by Dr. Thaw. Not only that the Cerec work the inner edge of the crown on the tooth No. 3 made were high and the outer edge of the crown were flat. The tooth No. 3 is not touch the bottom tooth. Not bite at all begin with! I have to try to use my front tooth to eat. My current Dr. told me that if I use my front tooth bite, that there will definitely cause a new problem.

Doctor Thaw is very good and gentle. He did the root canal for me and healing fast and no pain. The most amazing is his lab can make the permanent crown less then 1 hour. I am so happy with my new crown. Perfect fit and feeling comfortable. I am very pleased to be his patient. I highly recommend doctor Thaw to all my friends.

Such caring, skillful, and amazing staff! I had to take out two of my wisdom teeth and it was such a great pain-free experience. Would definitely recommend!

Took me in after a little paperwork, for a cleaning and check up, and exam, did a very well good job and treat patients very respectful! Need to go in again for a deep cleaning and a little dental surgical procedure. Other than that can't wait to get all this done and see the real results!

Dr. Thaw does his best to make you feel comfortable. He is always expanding his dental knowledge and abilities so that your costs are lower due to his ability to make crowns on site and on the same day. A few other specialty equipment are on site that may require referral to other facilities. Staff are friendly and courteous.
