She grew up in Vietnam and moved to America with her family at the age of 17 with a passion of going to school to become a medical provider. She went to Reynolds High School in Gresham and then Mt. Hood community College. She graduated from Mt. Hood with Associate of Science degree in 2006 and in President Honor board for multiples quarters. While at Mt. Hood, she received multiple scholarships, one of them was Ford scholarship which supported her for two years in Pacific University in Forest Grove. She graduated from Pacific University with a Bachelor of Science, major in Chemistry and Biochemistry in 2008. She then went to Oregon Health and Science University, School of Dentistry in 2009, and started her dream to become a dentist. Her passion for dentistry grew more and more as she got more in depth with her study. In 2011, she got a scholarship which made her become a National Heath Service Corps scholar. The program gave her a chance to become involve in community health and leadership. She got married in 2012 with her five years long friend, John. She graduated from OHSU school of dentistry in 2013 and started her dental journey. Her and John moved to Laredo, Texas where 99% of population are Hispanic. She started working at Gateway Community Health Clinic where she got to serve many uninsured farmers, single mothers and their kids for about a year and a half. There, she also learned her first Spanish through her assistants. Due to her second baby on the way, they decided to move back to Oregon where all their families reside. She accepted an offer at Northwest Human Services Community Health Clinic where she continued her journey to serve uninsured, homeless and farmer patients. Everyday for her going to work is a blessing. However she wanted her babies to be closer to their grandparents. They then moved back to Gresham. She has now took on the opportunity to open her first dental clinic while still working part time at Multnomah County!

Initially I felt like this dentistry was very thorough and I appreciated the professionalism of the staff. However, I had never had a cavity before and when I visited division family dental I was told I had 7. My husband was told he had 11. We both had a few filled, but decided to wait on the rest. We later went in for a second opinion at another very reputable dentistry. They told both of us we had none. It has been over two years and many X-rays later and my dentist still shows that I have 0 cavities. Please get a second opinion before you allow any cavity work to be done.

I loved the dentist here but after going here for years they just dumped me off! No call, email, or letter giving me a heads up! So disappointed! If you have OHP and are over the age of 18 don't bother! Responding to the response below: Again, this information was not communicated to me, not one single time! Not professional in the slightest! I was told by staff that OHP is no longer accepted and that is why I was let go; not what they are claiming below. Interesting how they tried to turn it around on me especially for the fact that I had been seen by them recently within the year and have not made any cancelations since. I received a message on 5/18/22 saying I was due for a visit as well! I had been a patient there for several years (5-6 years actually) and 7 CHANGED appointments due to life circumstances/illness should not have been reason to be dumped with no warning despite "contract," however, again, this is NOT the reason I was told I was let go. Like I said the dentist was great! Front office lady is not personable and very rude!

Recently with Covid 19 all around us, I needed emergency work done on a tooth that resulted in a root canal and crown placement. Division Family Dental got me in right away, had amazing safety protocols in place and made me feel not so anxious and calm and reassured doing the whole procedure! The dentist was caring and very informative on what each next step was going to take place during my treatment.

This is a first class operation. My mother-in-law came to Portland for my wife's passing due to covid-19. She had a bridge that totally fell apart. The dentist worked her into her schedule and gave us all the options to move forward. She explained the goods and bads of each option, taking the time to explain each thoroughly. Throughout the entire process the entire world office staff was very helpful, respectful and compassionate to all our needs. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. 0

They DO NOT accept OHP. Website says we accept OHP at the top - very clearly in bold. I spent hours over many days trying to find a decent dentist that accepts OHP. They say they do but they don't. I've encountered many dentists like this. Don't waste your time. UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE TO PROVIDE PEOPLE WITH CORRECT INFORMATION!!

Dr. Nguyen when and her staff were incredibly kind and helpful. They were able to accommodate a last minute holiday season appointment when my tooth broke and helped me feel better about insurance billing options. Dr. Nguyen was knowledgeable and went above and beyond to fix the tooth and answer any questions I had. I appreciated her attention to detail and gentle manner. I don't write reviews very often but this powerhouse team of women deserve to be recognized.

Dr Nguyen is the best! Quite possibly the best dentist I have ever been to. At every step of the way she goes to great lengths to make sure you are comfortable and not in any pain and clearly explains the procedure she is about to perform. The entire staff is friendly and run a highly efficient operation. I never had a long waiting time in the waiting area, nor did I have to book appointments weeks or even months in advance due to lack of availability. I cannot recommend this dental office enough!

Dr. Nguyen listens to her patients. Everyone can hear what you say. But, when a medical professional listens makes a big difference in the care they provide. Reading some of the reviews and being a new patient confirms my theory. I explained my fears and my pain tolerance. Dr. Nguyen adjusted accordingly. Put my comfort throughout the procedure before, during and after 1st on her list!!! Thank you. The entire staff. From checking in and dental assistants. Are amazing. Give great care.
