Learn about Ryan M. Clancy, DMD, MAGD, FPFA, LVIF, who first joined Divine Smiles in 2004, following his honorable discharge from the United States Army. He became a partner in 2010, and finally bought the practice in 2013. Since then, he has worked tirelessly to create a warm, welcoming practice for patients in and around the Boston area.
Dr. Clancy believes in cleanliness, environmental responsibility, and giving back to the community. As such, his practice adheres to the highest standards of sterilization, and he actively adopts environmentally friendly methods, such as keeping electronic records and always recycling where possible.
In addition, Dr. Clancy provides educational services to children, teaching them about the importance of oral hygiene. He also donates to the Boston Childrens Hospital, and serves on the board of the Massachusetts Dental Society Political Action Committee. He is the former chair of the Massachusetts Dental Society New Dentist Committee, a position he held for five years.

For over 15 years, Dr. Clancy and his team have served the community of Medford and are excited to now bring services to Woburn and Winchester. With deep family roots in the Greater Boston Area, Dr. Clancy was thrilled to return home after serving in the U.S Army for 8 years to serve his community with the exceptional dental services they need.

After serving in the Army for eight years, Dr. Ryan Clancy, DMD, MAGD, FPFA, LVIF returned home to Boston where he decided he would bring exceptional dental care to the Greater Boston Area community. Since hes planted his roots, hes dedicated his dental career to helping patients achieve healthy and beautiful smiles.
Dr. Clancys time in the Army was spent bringing frontline care to United States soldiers, coalition forces, government contractors, and local Iraqi citizens as a member of a mobile surgical dental team. He is grateful for the opportunity he had to do his part for the United States.
Dr. Clancy is heavily invested in continuing education in order to provide his patients with the latest, safest, most effective, and most advanced dental technologies and techniques. He understands the importance of having a thorough understanding of the best ways to treat a wide variety of dental concerns and issues, which is why he chose to obtain the highest level of dental education possible.
A dentist who has a MAGD (Master, Academy of General Dentistry) designation has completed 1100 hours of continuing education, including hands-on courses, spanning fields from orthodontics to dental implants. This is the highest award that the Academy of General Dentistry gives, and fewer than 2% of general dentists achieve it.
In addition to MAGD, Dr. Clancy is also an LVI Fellow. The LVI program focuses specifically on cosmetic dentistry procedures such as porcelain veneers, as well as neuromuscular dentistry with comprehensive focus on diagnosis and treatment of TMJ using the most advanced technology available.
Dr. Clancy knew that he wanted to practice dentistry from the time he was in middle school. He completed his dental residency while enlisted in the Army where he spent some time abroad in northern and western Iraq. However, he always knew he wanted to return to the Greater Boston Area to practice dentistry.
Dr. Clancy takes great pride in transforming lives by reducing pain, improving smiles, oral health, and of course, the self-esteem of his patients. He feels privileged to be able to help people in his community achieve beautiful, healthy smiles.

After working many years in Human Resources and Banking, Leslie switched gears completely and returned to college to pursue a career in Health Care. Leslie received her Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene from Middlesex Community College in 2007. She has been with Divine Smiles since 2007. Originally from Cambridge, MA she now resides in Gloucester. Leslie pursued a career in Dental Hygiene because she understands why complete oral care is beneficial to patients overall health. She enjoys working at Divine Smiles because she can work with a dental team committed to advancing their skills and knowledge.
Who most influenced your career? My Mother & Fathers work ethic was very influential to me growing up. They worked extremely hard to provide for our family no matter what challenges they may have faced, all the while making it look effortless.
I graduated with my Clinical and Administrative Medical Assisting degree from Southern Maine Community College. I knew that the health care field is what I felt most passionately about from a young age. I medical assisted for many years along with working full time in the hospitality industry.
Its in the hospitality industry where I discovered how much I loved working with people and giving fantastic customer service. When I had the opportunity to work at Divine Smiles it was the best of both worlds. Dr. Clancy and the team truly cares for each patient all while giving exceptional customer service.
When Im not working, I spend most of my time with my very big family in the state of Maine. I have three sisters and lots of nieces and nephews that I love being an aunt to. I live in Somerville now and enjoy living so close to the city. On weekends I love to try new restaurants and recently picked up kickboxing.
After finishing my associate degree in Human Services from the University of Massachusetts in Boston. I decided to switch professions and enrolled in the dental hygiene program at Mount Ida College in 2002. In 2004 I graduated from Mount Ida College with an associate degree in dental science. I continue taking continuing education courses yearly to remain knowledgeable and up to date with the most recent dental technology and studies. I am originally from Somerville Mass and reside in Winthrop with my husband Mike and three children Samantha, Emma and Michael. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family traveling, running and watching my kids play sports. I have been working for Divine Smiles since 2006. I have enjoyed building relationships with the patients and the dental team.
I have been with Divine Smiles since 1997. Debbie started with the dental team as an assistant and with much encouragement from the practice she furthered her education at Middlesex Community College in Dental Hygiene, graduating in 2003. Debbie is now in the office part time as she is a full-time mom to her daughters. She loves seeing her patients that she has formed a relationship with over her many years here.
What are your plans for the future? As my girls get older I would like to eventually add more hours in the practice. I do want to continue to be cautious of maintaining a health work/home balance, which Dr. Clancy is extremely supportive of.
I attended Shawsheen Valley Technical Vocational High School and decided to pursue the Dental Assisting program because my mother worked as a Dental Hygienist for many years and inspired me to work in the Dental field. I started working as a student Dental Assistant in November of 2016 and graduated the Shawsheen Dental Assisting program in June of 2017. I have continued to work as a Dental Assistant since and I love what I do and enjoy caring for and interacting with patients. I started working at Divine Smiles in September of 2021 and I love working with such a great team.
What do you like to do in your spare time? In my spare time I like going to spin classes and going to the gym. I enjoy cooking with my boyfriend and spending time with family and friends. My favorite pass time is watching scary movies.
Who most influenced my career? I was born and raised in Venezuela. One of the earliest influences in my life has been my Father, a dentist himself. My Father taught me the true impact dentistry has on the lives of others. I admired the appreciation he received from his patients every day.
In 2006, I got accepted into dental school, and in 2012, I graduated as a dentist in my home country. I worked there for a few years before moving to the United States in 2015. I wanted to continue to pursue a career in dentistry in the United States, therefore I became a dental assistant. I have continued to work in Dentistry because it makes me so happy. I am able to work in a field that I love. I continue to study and take continuing education courses that allow me to be on top of dental development which is crucial in order to provide patients superior dental care.

Great experience and great staff!! I have dental anxiety, and they alleviated all my fears. Leslie was amazing and walked me through all the procedures. Leslie and Dr Clancy were extremely thorough and took a holistic approach, explaining not only the importance of dental care but how oral care effects your overall health. Taylor, the receptionist, was just as wonderful, and took care of all my insurance needs.

Dr Clancy is simply the best!!!! I love how he has given his staff the opportunities to train and be able to take care of so many procedures! Danielle, Lesley, Kat are experts at what they do! His office manager Taylor is also exceptional! Also, before I forget, his entire staff is just lovely! As a semi retired teacher I appreciate that everyone at this practice is up to date on all the most advanced technology and put the patients' safety snd comfort As their highest priority! The care and results I received from Dr.Clancy and his staff are First Class. I've had issues with my teeth for a long time and now they are on the path to being great! I received 2 implants and 6 crowns and never in my life have I smiled with more confidence and joy. They made the process easy and practically painless. I recently started going to DivineSmiles about a month or 2 ago and couldnt be more happy. The expert equipment they have to make sure they know about any issue even if youre unaware of it before procedure. The pleasant staff Dr.Clancy incorporates into the office, If you have Leslie as your assigned dentist you're in great hands not only enjoyable to be around and talk to but when it comes down to going to work she does not play around and makes sure its a complete procedure thats always pain free. Dr. Clancy & his team of angels are miracle workers! I never imagined that I'd look forward to dental check-ups until I found Divine Smiles -- I call my dental appointments my "spa" days! Not only is my basic dental care absolutely fantastic (& anything but "basic!"), Dr. Clancy diagnosed the cause of my lifelong frequent headaches & actually cured them by realigning my jaw/bite! Additionally, because Dr. Clancy expressed concern regarding my remarkably short roots, I asked my PCP for a bone density scan. Turns out I have relatively early onset osteoporosis in my spine (I've already lost half an inch in height) & osteopenia in my hips. Without Dr. Clancy's knowledgeable care, my bone loss would have continued unchecked until I reached the age at which PCPs begin routine bone density screening. Thank you, Divine Smiles! I can hardly wait for my next appointment!

Outstanding, painless care! All of the staff at Divine Smiles are so warm and friendly and put you at ease as soon as you enter the office (and we all know that going to the dentist isn't really something we enjoy doing, but it is so important for our health & healthy smile). Dr Clancy is just a wizard with his knowledge and state-of-the-art equipment. He is able to take care of most problems within one visit, instead of several. I've rarely felt any discomfort under his care, including the administering of numbing medicine before a procedure. I highly recommend Divine Smiles!

My wife and I have been long time patients of Dr Clancy ever since he started working at the Medford Sq location. We've had nothing but wonderful and professional service by him and his great staff. My wife recently needed emergency dental work done due to a fall. As it was after hours and ahead of the weekend, I didn't think waiting until Monday to address the issue was the right choice. So we called their emergency # and got one of his staff (Leslie) to call us right back. She was extremely helpful. Within 10 minutes, she setup the visit for 8 am the following morning even though the office is closed that day. Another one of his friendly assistants (Michelle) volunteered to come in and assist. Thank God this was accomplished as my wife needed extensive work and not just addressing a loose tooth. It turned out to reveal a looming infection which would've put her more at risk as she's battling a separate medical issue concurrently. All the work was done onsite and the crisis was resolved. I would highly recommend Divine Smiles and Dr Clancy for all your dental needs. He is truly a one stop shop. Their level of empathy and diligence to doing what's right the first time really shows in their demeanor and willingness to go the extra mile. Lastly, their new location in Woburn is stellar. More a med spa (massage chair, mood music, etc) resort than just a dental office. They do everything possible to put their patients at ease as well as very strict Covid19 protocols. They have earned our loyalty time and time again...

Divine Smiles is Dental Disney World; Dr. Clancy's new location is as accessible, modern, and impeccably styled as a downtown hotel. Even the most reticent dental patient should race to Divine Smiles; the care and attention given by Dr. Clancy and his staff is unparalleled and excellent. Not only are they all friendly, knowledgable, patient, and helpful, but they will carefully explain the steps of your procedure, which can be displayed on their giant tv screens (there is even one on the ceiling set to fun channels to keep you engaged during your procedure). Most importantly, Divine Smiles is perfectly immaculate, and every precaution is taken to remain safe and healthy during these complex times. After my Invisalign check in (and a 20 minute unwind in a comfy massage chair), I left with a new bag filled with dental treats. I'm already feeling excited about my next visit, and I strongly recommend this practice to anyone looking for an exemplary experience.
