In 1994 the Center for Disease Control mandated that dental office high speed handpieces and/or accessories be sterilized (either by steam or chemically). Although this sterilization assists in the control of infectious disease, the procedure makes handpieces highly susceptible to failure due to excessive corrosion and/or heat.
At the time this mandate was implemented, the only option available to dentists to get their broken handpieces fixed was to return them to the manufacturer. Manufacturers, in turn, provided the dentists with costly repair bills and excessive handpiece down time due to exorbitant repair delays.
In response to this situation. Diversified Dental Services IL, LLC was established to provide an economical alternative to dentists for quality and expedient handpiece repair rather than relying solely on the costly and slow manufacturers. The response to our services was and has been overwhelming and DDS has grown, when combined with our affiliates, to be one of the premier handpiece repair and sales businesses in the Nation.
DDS is dedicated to repairing all high and low speed handpieces, as well as, all accessories to include air driven scalers, electrical/lab handpieces, surgical handpieces and hygienic instrument sharpening/retipping.
