Shaun Alex, DDS, is an experienced dentist who practices at the welcoming office of District Cosmetic Dental in Washington, DC. He specializes in general and cosmetic dentistry, perfecting the smiles of patients from a variety of communities around the nations capital. Fluent in three languages English, Spanish, and Malayalam hes able to cater to patients from diverse cultural backgrounds with ease.
Dr. Alex earned his dental degree from Howard University in 2008 and completed his residency at the University of Illinois in Chicago. Dr. Alex manages and treats a host of dental conditions, including bleeding gums, mouth sores, and gingivitis. He also performs routine and complex dental procedures, such as root canals, implants, and gum surgeries.
Dr. Alex focuses on all aspects of a patients experience, and he makes his patients equal partners in their care. Patients appreciate his compassionate care and personalized attention. He is driven to pursue excellence in the field of dentistry, and nothing brings a smile to his face quite like improving a patients smile.

Nice office and staff. Came in for a emergency and walked out with no pain. I am very happy I picked Dr. Alex as my dentist. Will be back for my Cleaning soon.

Outstanding dentist. Cannot imagine a better dentist. Has helped me through terrible dental issues caused by incompentent dentists. He is really a wonderful person as well as a great dentist. Highly recommended.

When I moved to DC I was not looking forward to finding a new dentist. I've visited District Cosmetic Dental twice now and I am not going anywhere else. Fantastic staff, relaxing experience (yep, I know, weird, right?) and prompt replies. Dr. Alex is kind, friendly, and very skilled. He thoughtfully explains what he's doing and for perhaps the first time ever, getting my teeth cleaned didn't hurt. Definitely go to this office if you're looking for a great dentist!

Dr. Alex is very respectful and knowledgeable! I have only been seeing him for a short while and have always had amazing experiences. He also helps me understand more preventative ways to get ahead of any issues he might be noticing with my teeth - love that! I definitely recommend him.

Dr. Shaun Alex is my favorite dentist in DC! An owner/operator I enjoy the fact that Dr. Alex appreciates all his clients to the point that he does all the cleanings himself! (Unlike other dentists where a hygienist spends more time with you then the full dentist.) A beautiful office with a great view from the dental chair, I always look forward to visit Dr. Alex's practice.

Amazing! Dr. Alex is a wonderful dentist. His front desk staff is friendly and efficient. Super convenient office location too. UPDATE: I have seen Dr. Alex twice now during the pandemic. The office practices and protocols during COVID made me totally feel comfortable.
