Dr. Walter D Distler was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky and graduated from Saint Xavier High School in 1976. He went on to complete his Bachelor of Science in Biology from University of Louisville in 1981. He then graduated from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry with at D.M.D. Degree in 1985 with highest honors.
He has a passion for continuing dental educationand is active in the American Dental Association, Kentucky Dental Association, Louisville Dental Society, and Spear Education. Dr. Walt is active in organized dentistry for Kentucky. Dr. W Distler served as class president and sat in Congressional hearings while in dental school. He has served on the Louisville Dental Society executive board.
Dr. W Distler is married to Sheryl Distler and they are parents of three children: Chris, Tony, and Andrea. They make their home in Hikes Point and share it with their talkative, fun-loving dog Cooper.
Dr. Anthony (Tony) Distler was born and raised in Louisville, KY. Dr. Tony graduated from Saint Xavier High School in 2008. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Biology minor from Centre College in 2012. After graduating from Centre College, Dr. Tony went on to attend University of Lousville School of Dentistry, graduating in 2016. While in dental school, he served in a variety of leadership roles and graduated with honors. After dental school, he went on to complete a one-year General Practice Residency at University of Lousville Hospital. The residency allowed him to receive additional training in more advanced restorative, surgical, and general practice procedures. He remains involved in the community by volunteering for free local dental clinics and health fairs with the Louisville Dental Society. Dr. Tony also works with the state of KY serving patients in Eastern, KY for the Kentucky Department of Corrections on Thursdays and Fridays.
Jana has over 33 years of dental experience, as both a dental assistant and now hygienst. She graduated from the University of Lousville Dental Hygiene program 20 years ago. She has been a great hygienist in the practice for over 20 years.
Dana has over 25 years of dental experience serving both an assistant/EDDA and now as a hygienist. She graduated from University of Louisville hygiene program in 2005. While not in the office Dana enjoys playing tennis, traveling,painting, and photography. In fact, Dana has several pieces of her artwork on display in some of the treatment rooms.
Monica is happily married to her husband, Joe. She is the proud mother of Karley and Andrew, mother-in-law of Kristin, and 'Granna' of two beautiful granddaughters. While not enjoying her time with her family, Monica enjoys embroidery and sewing.
