Dr. ORourke-Allen was raised in Baton Rouge, LA and envisioned being a dentist since the seventh grade. In 1994, she graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana with a bachelors degree in Chemistry. She then promptly entered Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX where she earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1998. After completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at the University Of Mississippi School Of Dentistry, Dr. ORourke-Allen returned to Baton Rouge. Always focused on the community, Dr. ORourke-Allen practiced dentistry in the public healthsector for over ten years. Dr. ORourke-Allen enjoys working with the mentally challenged and all of her patients.
Dr. ORourke-Allen maintains membership in several professional organizations including the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Louisiana Dental Association, American Orthodontic Society, Continuing Dental Education of Baton Rouge, Capital City Dental Association, and the Greater Baton Rouge Dental Association. Sheis a past president of the Louisiana Academy of General Dentistry and the Pelican State Dental Association.
In 2005, she was selected to participate in the American Dental Association Institute for Diversity in Leadership. Only 12 dentists were selected throughout the nationwide application pool to participate in this great program. In 2011, she received her fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. In 2015, Dr. O'Rourke-Allen was the only dentist from Louisiana to receive her mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry.

Staff very patient with nervous "me". Dr O'Rouke Allen the best. Rachel has taken care of me several times. Connie called back on vacation after getting message from me. This place really is a team. Office staff professionals. Hopefully, staff will continue to be all they can be.

I've been going to Distinctive Smile for about 5 plus years now and have never had a problem. The staff is very friendly and the environment is really nice. I absolutely love Dr O'Rourke-Allen and my hygienist Rachel.

They was friendly and kind! Ms. Amber was so kind and nice, she explained things to my kids even my 5 year old on what she was doing. Doctor, the guy in back, and receptionist was nice, and explain everything to me. They all greeted with smiles and they all was very professional about everything!

I had my first appointment with Dr.O'Rourke-Allen today and I throughly enjoyed the experience!!!! Everyone was so nice and eager to help which made me feel very comfortable! Miss Connie and Kiana at the front desk were sooo nice and helpful and they were the first faces I saw. Lauren, my dental assistant was fabulous, and made me feel so calm during the experience... and of course Dr. O'Rourke was very knowledgeable and straightforward, which I appreciated! Overall, great team and I will definitely be back!
