Robert R. Cunningham Jr. DMD followed in his grandfathers footsteps and sought to pursue a career in dentistry after graduating from the University of South Carolina in 2005 with a degree in Biology and Math. He continued his education and attended the Medical University of South Carolina, graduating with his dental degree. He opened his own practice in 2008. Originally from Columbia, Dr. Cunningham currently resides in the Ballentine area with his wife Erin and their three children Brady, Evie and Kamryn.
As the leading dentist at Distinctive Dentistry, Dr. Cunningham is proud to provide quality, family-style care to the Irmo area. He offers a wide range of dental services for patients of every age and income.

This was my first visit to Distinctive Denistry. The staff and Dr. Cunningham made me feel like I have been a patient here forever. I felt comfortable and I left with my problem solved. I have already scheduled my 6 month check up. Here. Very pleased.

I was never a fan of going to the dentist but I cracked a tooth and just moved here from MI. I'm so glad I found this dentist office. Everyone is kind and caring and Dr. Cunningham is very good and very gentle.

I have been going to Distinctive Dentistry for years now. The staff and Dr. Cunningham are always very friendly. I just came from a routine cleaning and Ms. Shelly did a great job. I love how everyone who has ever cleaned my teeth give me tips on how to better my dental health. Another thing I really like is the appointment reminder system they have. I definitely can't be a no show with those reminders.

OMG .... let me tell you and I am not complaining had to wait a bit for an appt. but after today's visit it was well worth the wait. Very friendly front desk greeting from both ladies, Monica, well what a pleasure she was, doing my x rays cleaning, and appt making for my next cleaning and getting me in PRONTO for a much needed filling. And of course Dr. Cunningham, very pleasurable and made my day telling me just 1 cavity, He doesn't look a day older when I first met him11 yrs ago. You will LOVE the whole crew
