Dr. Robert Gemmell received his DMD from Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland. He is a current member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the Oregon Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Ty Jaros received his BS from Seattle University and his DDS from the University of Washington. He is a current member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and Oregon Dental Association. Dr Jaros is also a SureSmile Aligners Certified Provider.

He also cherishes the opportunities to be involved in his childrens school and sporting events.
Dr. Gemmell is especially skilled in the dental disciplines of aesthetic techniques (including veneers, all-ceramic crowns and implants), along with crown and bridge placement. Dr. Gemmell is a master dentist with your interests in mind.

Before joining Distinctive Dentistry in early 2018, Dr. Jaros received his Bachelor of Science from Seattle University and his DDS from the University of Washington. He is also a member of the UW School of Dentistry alumni group tasked with interviewing new dental school applicants. Dr Jaros is a SureSmile Aligners Certified Provider.

Dr. Jaros and the whole team are so attentive and welcoming! I get nervous going to the dentist, but this team explains everything before they do it to make sure you're comfortable, and you can even get a warm blanket over you in the chair! Never thought I'd say you'll be cozy at the dentist! :)

As a former dental assistant I have high expectations for dental offices I choose for myself and my family and I can honestly say that Dr. Jaros and entire staff have exceeded my expectations. They are all welcoming, patient and very professional. Dr. Jaros takes his time to explain your treatment plan and answers any and all questions you may have. If my dental insurance changes and doesn't cover them in the future, I will happily pay out of pocket to stay with them. They are my forever dental provider.

My Dentist is so experienced and knowledgeable I cannot imagine going to any other Dentist. He personally works with you and creates a plan and follows through the treatment needed. I have never had any dental pain since i started seeing Doctor Gemmell.

I am a new patient at Distinctive Dental. I had an great first visit.The staff, I met, were friendly and kind. Dr Gemmell did an excellent job explaining what was going on with my teeth. I left the office like I was well taken care of. In addition, the waiting room was a calm and comfortable place to wait, especially before seeing the dentist!

They were able to address a worrisome tooth of mine almost instantly because of an unexpected 1/2 slot that opened up but the real story is that they are innovative, flexible and provide top dentistry in a caring manner.

Amazing. Got my family member in for an emergency appointnent within a couple hours. Saw the infection and went for a requested extraction in the same appointment. Fixed up in a couple hours and sent home to heal. Thankful for the speedy and excellent care.
