Welcome to our office. I am Dr. Zachary Streit; a proud Edmonds native who has been fortunate enough to come back home and lead the team at Distinctive Dentistry (taking over from my childhood Dentist). After graduating from the University of Washington with a bachelors degree in Biochemistry, I headed down to San Francisco, ultimately earning my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. My loving wife, Ashley and I have three beautiful daughters, Hadi, Lucy, and Nora. My favorite thing to do when not in the office is to spend time making memories with my family.
We focus on individualized treatment, compassion, quality, and education. My specialties include a wide range of cosmetic, invisalign and restorative dental procedures, as well as being a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine.
Member of AACD, AADSM, ADA, WSDA, SCDS, DOCS Sedation, Osteoready Implant MiniResidency, 6 Month Smile Braces, Bioclear Certified, Invisalign Certified, OSA University, Dr. Hornbrooks Functional Aesthetics and Occlusion, Crown Council Qualified Member, and training under Kois Center.
Ashley is a great team member and looks forward to taking care of patients needs. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with her son and husband. Ashley sets herself apart in ensuring exceptional clinical care as a chairside assistant as well as running the front desk.
Angela has been a dental assistant several years and has always had a passion for dentistry. She excels in patient relationships and strives to make sure all of her patients are comfortable and leave with a smile. In her free time she also enjoys spending time with friends and family. She always enjoys a good joke.
Please help me welcome our new hygienist, Ashanti Dean, to the team here at Distinctive Dentistry. Ashanti has been a hygienist for more than six years and is supremely dedicated to helping his patients. He takes great pride in cultivating great relationships with patients and providing excellent care. His focus is to help patients reach their goal of having a healthy smile. Ashanti is a proud Seattle native and outside of the office can be found plowing through a book, movie, or playing on one of many flag football teams. A welcome addition to the Distinctive Dentistry team, I know that he is excited to get to meet you and help you achieve the highest levels of dental health.

I love this place. I've never fell asleep in a dentist chair but today was a first lol, everything is state of the art, everyone is very very nice. I'm not sure what else to put but WOW. If you're looking for a really good dentist office please go here you will not be disappointed.

Front desk, Dental Assistant (Kathy, Angela, Ashley), Dr. Streit, Dental hygienist (Ashanti) = awesome. After living in Boston, MA for almost 14 yrs, since moving back in 2006, I shamefully admit that I have not found my go-to dentist. That said, after being disappointed with several dentists, I am truly thankful for being led to Dr. Streit and his team. Super efficient, caring, professional, meticulous, and overall great at what they do. I am now having my husband go see Dr. Streit and the team after moving from Oregon (and he too shamefully not having a regular dentist). Pleasantly surprised albeit finding the team over internet google :).

The staff goes above and beyond. The dentist can be intimidating, but they do all they can to ensure you're comfortable. They don't just perform services, they make sure you have an understanding of your oral health. They provide tips and tricks to improve your oral health and encourage questions. I have to post this review so people who have similar problems can be aware of the potential outcome. I came to the office for a cavity fill. It was a big cavity that I was already warned by another dentist that I might need a root canal. I did discussed with Dr. Streit, and he said that the cavity was not deep enough so it didn't touch the nerve so no root canal was performed. However, I repeatedly told him the cavity tooth was very sensitive before the fill and and feels like a big gap or hole in between the teeth with sensitivity after the fill. He said the sensitivity will be gone in a couple of weeks and the bite is okay. Meaning that he did his job regardless how I felt. How could he do that? I felt something wrong with it and discomfort bothered me ever since he finished the fill. It turns out he was wrong. I went to Endodontics Northwest and Dr. Colic told me that the bacteria was already infected the nerves that's why the tooth was super sensitive. I had to suffer the sensitivity for almost whole year because I had to travel abroad and when I come back with all the COVID situation. I went back to check up the problematic tooth and he was simply said that I needed a root canal without a proper apology. I went back last time for cleaning and complaint about the gap/hole in between the teeth. His stuff did another X-ray and said yes there is something still wrong with that tooth but he was rushing to get off work and only scrap the teeth didn't finish the cleaning process and with no plan how to treat the problem tooth. Dr. Streit was not warm and caring and makes me feel like I was not welcomed personally. But most of all, as a patient, I have to pay the cost for his mistake and suffer for the consequences. I used my dental benefit with him and now I have to wait until my dental plan renew so I can find a new dentist. I really wish he was good, unfortunately he was just merely incompetent.

I don't know where to begin when saying that my experience with the entire team at Distinctive Dentistry far exceeded my expectations! I walked in this morning fearful and unsure of what to expect at my first dentist appointment in years. However, that quickly changed! Dr. Streit explained everything that needs to be addressed and suggested a great treatment plan in such a calm, professional way. I can't wait to go back for my next appointment!
