Dr. Syed is an excellent dentist and also just a very nice person. She is very thorough in reviewing dental issues. I just had a tooth re-filled, and she was so careful in making sure everything was done right and fit correctly. I would recommend Dr. Syed to anyone.
I crack my front tooth and needed to see a dentist right away. I was seen on the same day and Dr. Syed was able to fix my tooth. I was shocked when I looked at the perfectly fixed tooth. I couldn't even see where the fracture was. Thank you and the entire staff. I have found a new dentist for me and my kids.
Born and raised in south India, she grew up in the bustling city of Bangalore, where she spent most of her teenage years helping out at her uncle's dental practice. Here she developed a love for the profession so profound that she found her self pursuing and later achieving a degree in dental surgery.Soon after graduation from the dental school, Dr Syed spent a year serving in a renowned cancer center, Kidwai Memorial Institute of oncology specializing in oral cancer, located in south India.
Living up to the meaning of Doctor, which literally means teacher, she taught at Ramayah Medical College in Bangalore, South India.She then had the opportunity to practice dentistry, in private practice as an associate, where she honed her skills with aesthetics and developed her excellent chair side manner.As fate would have it, marriage brought her to the U.S. Since U.S. laws required her to be licenced to practice dentistry in the states and her drive would not allow her to be kept from her passion, within short while she cleared the three step process to get Board certified. She has received specialized training in cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry form Dugan Dental Institute, Colton, CA. attended UIC for advanced training in dentistry to name a few.Along the way managing to juggle her family life with her professional life. She has a husband two beautiful children she adores and cares for.
Practice philosophy- Among others, Dr Syed follows three core principles:-First, an informed patient makes an educated consumer who would be willing to make partnerships necessary for proper treatment. Patients often have the misconception that dental care is expensive on the contrary, lack there off is often more costly. Cost in the form of lost function, aesthetics and even undesired health complications (i.e heart disease). Regular preventative care and education may be a far cheaper and painless proposition.Second, the comfort of the patient is vital to success of the treatment. Most popular view most hold is a dental visit is invariably a painful one. This need not be, and should not be the case if a dentist wants to see the patient through a treatment plan. The advent of improved injection techniques (thinner needles), of new technologies such as Bio lase TM (drill-less tooth preparation, may allow avoidance of anesthetic), available nitrous oxide, prescription anti-axiotylics, in seat entertainment, noise cancelling headphones are a far cry from the age old experiences passed from myth.Third, treatment of the patient as a whole not the individual ailing parts. Having received training in the fields such as oral cancer, usage of screening tools such as Visi-lite TM. Detecting and treating periodontal disease which may lead to cardiac complications, educating the patients about the risk. And working closely with other health care providers to achieve end points that improve patients quality of life just to name a few.These and a life long commitment to self improvement are some of the qualities Dr Syed brings to the practice.

Dr Syed has 'state of the arts' equipment and technology in her practice. The Hygienist, Hodan, is good at her job and kind also. If you're looking for luxury furniture and atmosphere, you won't find it here. Their focus is on cleanliness and excellent Dental Care. That says a lot about this practice for me.

I typically tend to shy away from dentists mostly out of fear. After my appointment with Dr. Haseen Syed and hygienist Hodan, I didn't feel even the slightest bit of fear or worry making my next appointment. From the shots of Novocain down to the thorough explanation behind the deep cleanse- it was all a piece of cake. They have a trusting, and gentle aura about them. What a fantastic dentist. I could go on and on about this team but I will keep it short and sweet. Worked me in a timely fashion. Met and exceeded expectations. Very friendly. Pricing was fair and reasonable. Did fantastic work to fix my years of deferred maintenance. Biggest thing for me; no judgement for how bad I let my teeth get and have done a stellar job getting my smile back.

I have been a patient of Distinctive Dental Care for more than 7 years, I have come to appreciate the candor and education first approach take by the doctor and the staff. I have had any where from fillings, a bridge, to an implant and gum line surgeries. Although none of them were pleasant procedures, I was happy that I was in the expert and gentle hands of Dr Syed.
