The doctors could not do their jobs without the wonderful people that make up our team of support staff. Many of them have over 30 years of experience in this dental office and strive to provide all our patients and their families with quality-driven, efficient and professional care.
Ernie has been with this office since 1986 with Dr. Haeberlein in Monteagle Medical Center. An avid learner, he has expertise on the intricacies of the dental insurance market and helps all of patients and their families understand their insurance coverage. In his spare time he enjoys finding out more about computers, outdoor sports like fishing and hunting,and spending time with his wife and daughters.
Her greatest passion is being with all of her family in the Bay Area, especially when they get together to celebrate special events for the little ones and watching them dance and have a great time. Family is her greatest joy and she spends every minute she can with her two children and her wonderful husband on the peninsula.
Originally trained as a dental assistant, she now work with our patients and insurance companies, helping our families understand and work with the complexities of the dental insurance companies. When she is not in the office, she enjoys listening to music and Zumba classes.
Maria has been working at this practice since 1992 and really enjoys working here at Discovery Pediatric Dentistry. In her spare time she likes to read, sing and enjoy the Arts. Most of all she loves to play with her son 's adorable pet Labrador 'Rocco' while gardening in her backyard.
Puishan 's greatest love is all animals, especially Dogs. 'Man 's Best Friend' has taught her many things in her life, including unconditional love and loyalty and how to be more sensitive to others. Currently, she is volunteering as a dog walker at a local animal shelter (SF SPCA), as well as mentoring new volunteers in that program. She also enjoys studying Chinese ancient history and shopping at the local farmer 's market.
Martina has been a member of our dental family since she was a little girl, coming to the practice as a patient. She has a unique view of the practice, having seen it both as a patient, and then an employee, and now also a parent. An excellent member of our team, she loves working with kids of all ages. In her spare time, she enjoys good food, shopping and spending time with her two kids.
Nga has been with this office since 1987, following in her sister Maria's footsteps. In her spare time she enjoys working on her backyard (she did the landscaping all by herself!), spending time with her two children and reading books about Chinese Herbal Medicine.She is a dedicated member of our team and loves working with children of all ages, managing even the most apprehensive child with ease. One of her greatest talents is her ability to speak seven different languages.
Cecil has been with this office since 1987, assisting in the back office. She enjoys learning new techniques and anticipating what the doctor needs even before they know it. She is also helping out more in the front office so you may hear her cheerful voice on the phone. When she's not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her kids and surfing Youtube for great new recipes for her next favorite dish.

The dentists here are always so patient with my kids and they give the children a toy at the end which definitely keeps the kids excited to come back.

Estelle loves Dr. Emily and all of the technicians. She needed x rays and I needed to complete a form. in the time it took me to complete the form, E had been whisked away, gotten her x rays, and was back in the main treatment area with a dinosaur toy. My girl loves going to the dentist and has no fear or anxiety because of the marvelous way she's treated.

Dr. Wang was great. She stayed composed and professional despite my toddler's outburst. It was my daughter my first visit to the dentist and she was very nervous and scared. Dr. Wang explained everything she was doing and was very patient with my daughter. Staff were also very helpful.

Dr. Emily was wonderful! So patient, kind and upbeat. The kids loved her, esp my nervous 6yo who is never keen on visiting the dentist. This was our first time at the office.

We love the Discovery children's dentistry! All nurses and doctors are super friendly and helpful! There is no waiting time, everyone is super attentive and listens our concerns and questions! Everything looks clean and organized in the dentistry and overall we are so happy found the Discovery. Wish I can go there if they treat adults.

Discovery Dental is an awesome children's dentist office, they are patient and nice to the kids. My kids look forward to picking out a small toy at the end of the visit. We've been going to them for 10 years, even after moving to Richmond.

We just visited Dr. Nate's Dental Practice We bought our three young kids ages 6, 4, 3, for their first dental check-up, not only did Dr. Nate and his staff make them feel welcome and comfortable but proceeded to give us sound advice so we can give our kids the best dental care at home. Dr. Melanie and staff were so kind and patient! My toddler was very frightened and had a total meltdown (and she gets frightened in most healthcare situations, not just dentists). They really went above and beyond to try to comfort her. They were still able to get an exam and cleaning done, between all the tears, and they had a great attitude throughout. Thank you!

Awesome first experience for my 4 and 2 years old kids. Dr. Emily and her staff were very sweet and patient, and the kids didn't move a notch during their exam, even WITHOUT any screens. Would definitely recommend!
