Zarmin Lalani, DDS, MS,is a board certified pediatric dentist who absolutely loves what she does! She brings her experience, advanced training and compassion to provide comprehensive dental care to infants, children, teens and patients with special needs.

Growing up in Dallas, Dr. Lalani stayed close to home and graduated from University of Dallas. She continued on to Baylor College of Dentistry to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree with honors. Dr. Lalani then completed her Masters in Oral Biology and earned her Pediatric Specialty Certificate at Baylor College of Dentistry, which included residencies at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital and Childrens Medical Center of Dallas. Dr. Lalani brings extensive experience in conscious sedation, hospital dentistry, and working with special needs patients. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

When Dr. Lalani is not taking care of her patients, she enjoys getting involved in the community. She believes her love for working with children is rooted in the many years she devoted to the Girl Scouts organization. Dr. Lalani enjoys trying different cuisines, movies, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Lalani strongly believes in the importance of laying a strong foundation in childhood to ensure a lifetime of good oral health through positive, fun, and pleasant experiences. She considers herself blessed to have the opportunity to bring healthy and beautiful smiles to kids every day!

Our knowledgeable and experienced pediatric dentist, Dr. Zarmin Lalani, has advanced training in working with children and has handpicked a friendly and comforting staff. When needed, she utilizes a highly-trained mobile sedation team consisting of board certified pediatric medical anesthesiologists, and nurses and anesthesia technician certified in PALS inwho provide IV sedation.

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (known as the AAPD) recommends that your child visit the dentist by the emergence of their first tooth or by his or her first birthday. Your childs first tooth will likely arrive between six and twelve months, so its important to bring them in to see Dr. Zarmin Lalani at this time. The earlier you get your child used to come to the dentist, the more comfortable they will feel at our office. Here at Discovery Kids Pediatric Dentistry, we celebrate childrens oral health all year long with Sparkle the Tooth Fairy! Sparkle andour staff at Discovery Kids Pediatric Dentistry would like the opportunity to visit your school to give an educational and fun hands-on experience about good oral health. We will engage the students and excite them about how to maintain a healthy mouth and body. We customize each presentation and activity according to the grade and time frame.

For the best educational experience for the students weprefer to work with only a couple of classes at a time. However, we understand that it might best accommodate teacher schedules to do several classes together.

We want to make sure that the students receive this education as young as possible, so ourgoal is to reach out to the younger students in your school. We will customize the presentation based on the grade/age of your students. Our time with your students will be interactive, fun and educational.

Sparkle the Tooth Fairy visited the Healthy Zone ofRogers Elementaryand challenged the third-grade students with a great thinking question! Can you predict which drink: Coke, Gatorade, or Apple Juice has the most sugar in it?

Tooth Fairy Tip To keep our teeth healthy we must also drink healthy. So, if you are going to drink juice please dilute! Mostly ALL water with only a small amount of juice added and always brush your teeth after!

Sparkle the Tooth Fairy interacted with all of the kindergarten students at Phillips Elementary demonstrating how to brush and floss your teeth, keep your teeth and body healthy, and what to expect when going to the dentist!
