Once we receive your signed consent, we will contact you to set a time for teledentistry services. Teledentistry is not covered by all insurance plans and may have restrictions, for instance insurance companies may allow it for emergency care only. We make an effort to determine if insurance will cover the service, however payment is ultimately your responsibility.
Dr. Julia Richman graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. She also graduated from the University of Washington with a masters degree in Pediatric Dentistry and a Master of Public Health degree. She has had advanced training in forensic odontology including detection of child abuse, dental aging, identification and litigation, and she is available to serve as an expert witness for malpractice and audit defense cases. She is also available for forensic dentistry consulting. She continues her education by attending numerous conferences each year and lecturing on pediatric topics. Her interests include: care for children with special needs, including autism, treatment and prevention of dental injuries, and reduction of dental anxiety.
She has served as a member of the Working Committee and Test Construction Team (Orthodontics) for the American Dental Associations Dental Licensure Objective Structured Clinical Examination, which is developing a new test for dental licensure. Since 2016, she has served as a commissioner and as chair (2019-2020) of the Dental Quality Assurance Commission.
Dr. Richman trained in hospital and clinical settings with extensive training on patients who have special healthcare needs. As a part of her pediatric dentistry residency, she completed child and adolescent orthodontic training. Dr. Richman is a BLS, CPR, and First Aid Instructor.
Dr. Richman serves on the Snoqualmie Valley Little League Board of Directors. She and her family enjoy many outdoor activities and sports together, including golf, baseball, hiking, kayaking and snowshoeing. During her spare time, Dr. Richman enjoys golf, scuba diving, paddleboarding and cooking.
The team here at Dino Kids Dentistry can provide patients with professional service, taking extra measures to ensure each patient is met with a friendly and caring manner. We employ team members who speak English and Spanish in order to give our patients better assistance when understanding their dental treatment.
Cathy Dental Assistant I was born in San Diego and moved to WA state when I was 8 years old. I have been working with kids for about 15 years and absolutely love it. Dentistry is a new adventure for me and look forward to my future in this industry. Im excited to assist with all our patients dental care and teach oral health. During my free time, I love to spend time with my husband, kids, family, and friends.
Wendy Dental Assistant Wendy began her her dental career over 20 yrs ago as a dental assistant. She has been fortunate to have worked in different aspects of the dental field but enjoys pediatric the most.
She shares in Dr. Richmans approach to provide and deliver the highest quality of dentistry with care and compassion and is dedicated to educate patients and parents on how to achieve and maintain their dental health.
Sarah Dental Assistant Sarah was born and raised in South Seattle. She graduated from University of Washington and originally went into business, owning her own company for a number of years. She is currently going back to school to study dental hygiene. Her happy place is at the farm, visiting her horses, with her husband and two young kids. She also enjoys volunteering at a local horse rescue and her daughters school.
Malaya Intern We are excited to welcome Malaya Santos, our new summer intern! Malaya is an upcoming senior at Stadium High School and the daughter of our very own Cathy! In her spare time, Malaya likes to spend time with her family and go camping. She is a huge movie buff. Please join us in welcoming Malaya to Dino Kids!

Dr. Richman and her staff are fantastic! My kids have struggled with every other dentist we have been to due to dental anxiety and neurodiversity struggles. We found Dr. Richman and could not be happier. Two of my children needed to have a tooth pulled today and the Dr and her staff made it such a pleasant and safe experience for them. We left the office with smiles on our faces instead of the usual tears. If you are looking for a dentist for your child- look no further!

Amazing experience. My so had a terrible sledding accident and went to 3 dental offices that tried to help but did not end up helping. He was treated poorly and became very afraid. I took him to Dr. Richman and she knew what to do right away. She help my son get over his fear. She made an excellent referral that was literally life changing. She brought my son's smile back in more ways than one. I will always be so grateful.

Dr. Richman and her entire staff are amazing. They are so patient with me and my kids, she always allows us to be apart of the care plan and explains what she thinks is the best plan while also allowing me to feel heard and validated. I can't imagine taking my kids anywhere else!

About 8 weeks ago, I had both of my children get exams. The dentist let me know both kids had cavities. I wanted to get the me fixe immediately but was told they needed to get approval from my insurance company and then they would call me to reschedule . A week goes bye and I hear nothing so I called the woman I spoke to said they were still waiting to hear from insurance. I told her I thought that was odd since the kids dentist I had gone to before my divorce was able to hear back right away. She told me as soon as they hear from them they would contact me. Well 8 weeks later nothing. I left a message recently and no call back. Seriously unprofessional. My kids have cavities so I am taking them to a new dentist. Clearly this office picks and chooses who they treat right and who they don't. Oh and I forgot to mention, I contacted my insurance they approved the procedures back on May 3rd according to them. So why on 6.15.22 I was never contacted despite insurance approving the procedure is beyond me.

Dr. Richman and her staff are so patient and caring. We have gone to a lot of different pediatric dentistry clinics and none of them have been as kind and as compassionate as her and her staff have been. My son asked me if she could be his dentist from now on. He usually gets nervous and cries whenever he has to go to the dentist but the experience here has been a pleasant one. Dr. Richman and her staff were able to calm him down and he genuinely has enjoyed coming here. I'm very grateful that God led us to this place and that Dr. Richman and her staff are so polite and made my son feel like he was cared for.

I've been going since they opened in the Covington location. Very clean office. Fun for kids many dinosaurs throughout the office. Dr. Julia is great she's super nice and patient. She explains what she will do during the visit. I highly recommend her.

I love this dental office! They always make my kids feel so comfortable with the whole check-up process and the dental assistants are always so personable that it doesn't even feel like a dental appointment. Highly recommend the entire staff and dental hygienist to whomever is reading this! :)

Dino Dental is simply amazing, Dr. Richman and her staff are top notch. After several not so great dentist experiences for my son we finally found our place! I was completely comfortable with the attention and care my son received. Dr. Richman not only explained everything to me as the parent but also my son along the way and really treated him as though her was her own. I can't say thank you enough for the great experience.

We LOVE DKD! The staff is friendly, Dr Richman is so great with my kids, and who doesn't love a dinosaur themed medical office?? We found this dentist when we first moved here two years ago and I feel like we won the pediatric dental lottery.

My daughter needed emergency work done last year amid COVID. Dr. Richman and her team got her scheduled quickly. The staff and Dr. Richman are very sweet and helpful! We appreciate all of their help and going above and beyond for my daughter's dental work and the hassle of dealing with our dental insurance!

I showed up with my nervous 6 year old literally shaking by my side in the waiting room. A previous negative experience in a dental office had left him traumatized and untrusting towards anyone in scrubs with dental tools. The entire staff was friendly, extremely patient, and completely engaging to help him feel calm and comfortable. The wonderful dental hygienist and Dr. Richman both took plenty of extra time to educate him and empower him, so that he could independently choose to participate in the procedures he had so adamantly refused before. By the time we left, he was laughing and telling me he was looking forward to his return "at the dinosaur dentist". I cannot make this up! I would highly recommend this practice to any family member or friend.

Dino Kids Dentistry is so wonderful! If you are looking for somewhere to take your children I recommend them to all my family and friends. Dr. Richman takes the time needed to bond with her patients and engage the little ones (my son is only two and shy, she had him smiling)! Wendy, Cathy and Alexis are always so sweet when we come in. Today we showed up a hour early, something I realized after I got home... the team got us in and seen without anyone questioning the appointment time. As a working mom this was such a kind thing to make it easy for me and not make me feel silly for mixing the times up! Thank doc and team Vinnie and I look forward to seeing you in six months.

Brought my 2 kids in to see Dr Richman had an amazing experience my twins that are 4 didn't want to cooperate they took their time to talk them through it and explain to them what was going to happen. The staff and dentist were amazing we will continue to make the 45 min drive to come here for the great experience for my kids. Thank you to all the amazing staff at Dino Kids.

Staff was not friendly at all and did not make us feel welcomed. Staff was not informative on what was going to take place or what they were doing. Felt very rushed and was out in 30 minutes with 2 children that had appointments. This place does not feel like it's for children. This is our first and very last time coming here.

Love love love the dentist and her staff! Everyone was just amazing, caring friendly and really made my kids feel welcome. I was surprised at my youngest who was having a great time at the Dentist!! I highly recommend parents that need to schedule the kids together to come here ofcourse with an appointment. They explained everything thoroughly from process to procedure billing and what insurance may and may not cover. My kids are excited to come back. I felt comfortable and taken care of here. Also I was holding off on taking them in with the fear of taking them to the dentist. Again I would very highly recommend Dino Dental.
