Michael grew up in southern California. From a young age, he was encouraged by his father that he 'would make a great dentist,' and he has! He completed his DDS degree in 1988 from USC in Los Angeles and moved to Redding with wife Julie to begin a life in rural northern California. Four sons, 2 daughter in laws, one granddaughter, one grandson and 30+ years later, Mike and Julie happily call Redding their home for life!
Most of the staff have been with Dr. Mike for many years. His patients are like family. He treasures watching them grow, caring for their dental health into the next generation. Dr. Mike was honored to have his oldest son Jonathon (Dr. Jon) join the practice in 2019. Together working side by side, their joy is to serve the community they both love so dearly . Son David and wife Sarah returned to Redding after completing college degrees. David is an Edward Jones Advisor and Sarah teaches 3rd grade at Redding Christian School. Son Adam is in dental school at OHSU in Portland, hoping to join the family practice one day. Son Philip attends Oral Roberts University in Tulsa. Wife Julie helps run the office from home, juggling their home, church and professional lives. Truly it is a family owned and operated dental practice!
Dr. Mike, Dr. Jon and staff are proud to offer the full range of high-quality, restorative dental services from simple fillings to full mouth reconstruction. We treat patients of all ages, beginning from the cleaning and exam of their very first teeth, with application of sealants, to all stages of life, including crowns, implants and dentures as needed.

I usually don't have anything nice to say about any dentist, they freak me out. But this dentist office is the best. All the staff is super friendly. This is hands-down the best dentist I've ever had, they do it right the first time. They have been consistent with their quality of work. I'm always looking forward to going to my dental appointments now.

Dr. Mike and his team are truly exceptional. During my 6 years of being their patient, I've appreciated their kindness and genuine care every time I've visited. Dr. Mike is so patient and takes the time to thoroughly explain my treatment and answer any questions I may have. His gentleness, thoroughness, and quality work he's displayed in every appointment is so appreciated. If your looking for a great dentist in the Redding area, I highly recommend!

Absolutely the best dentist I have ever been to, and I've seen more than a few. Everyone in that office is awesome. I actually enjoy going to appointments because of the people working there!

I have serious anxiety going to the dentist, but Dr Jon and Hayley made me feel so comfortable and answered all the questions I had. The entire staff is absolutely amazing. When I walked through the front door I immediately felt so welcomed and everyone was smiling and seemed so happy to be there. Which was really a great feeling.. :) If you are looking for a new dentist I highly recommend Dr Dinius!!!

I've been a patient for many years and welcome his son Dr. Jon. With multiple crowns I've always had very comfortable experiences. The office staff is friendly and competent. Everyone I've come in contact with is compassionate and respectful. I couldn't imagine going to any other dentists even though I know there are obviously good ones out there. I thank them all for making every visit worthwhile and as comfortable as possible. Your team is the best.
