F. Alan Dickerman was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He attended Temple University Dental School and received his DDS degree in 1967. He continued his post-graduate education as a Captain in the United States Air Force Dental Service Corps. and received commendations from both the Strategic Air Command and the Erhling Berquist Hospital. Following his two years of service, he started his private dental practice in Bala Cynwyd, PA in 1969.
Dr, Dickerman was an associate and consulting staff member at Philadelphia Osteopathic Hospital for over twenty years, and held staff positions at Elwyn Institute, one of the oldest and largest care facilities in the United States, serving children and adults with a wide range of physical, developmental, sensory (deaf/blindness), and emotional disabilities. He has treated children at the Royer-Greaves School for the Blind and was a staff member at Sleighton Farm School.
In addition to his extensive clinical work history, Dickerman has accumulated over 4000 hours of post graduate education, including a 2 year post graduate orthodontic course at the Institute for Graduate Dentists in New York City. He can be considered a pioneer in Implants with extensive surgical and restorative experience. He has been placing Implants over 40 years. He attained Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentist in 1978. He has written articles for dental journals, is a premier consultant for the Gerson Lehrman Council of Advisors. Dr. Dickerman is listed as one of Americas Top Dentist by the Consumer Research Council of America, and nominated as one of the best Cosmetic dentists in the Philadelphia suburban area by Main Line Magazine.
His hobbies include skiing, golf, fishing, and a love for architecture. Dr. Dickerman is married to his wife, Judy for 50 years andis the proud father of two beautiful and successful young woman and four grandchildren.. I feel confident that with my past and present experience and ongoing education, I can provide the very best quality of dental care options to all my patients.

Robin grew up in Lower Merion and was educated in the Lower Marion School District. She received a B.A. degree following graduation from Purdue University in Indiana. Shortly after graduation Robin decided on a career change and attended Montgomery Community College graduating as a Dental Hygienist in 1996. Our office can take some credit for her decision to change her career to dental hygiene given that she had been a private patient in our practice from age nine. She continued as a patient, and returned to our office in 2006 employed as our dental hygienist. She remains a valuable and active staff member.
Stacey is a local, growing up and attending elementary and high school in the Lower Marion School District. After graduation from Boston University and obtaining a B.S. degree in Psychology she pursued a career with Comcast Cable in Philadelphia where Stacey remained a loyal employee for over 10 years and left to become a full-time mother. She became a beloved member of our staff over 7 years ago and as our Office Manager is vital to the ongoing and current success of our dental practice. Stacey like all of our staff members is CPR and trained.
Lona is the newest member of our team. After high school Lona attended Dental Assisting School at National School of Health Technologies in Philadelphia. She did an internship at University of Pennsylvania Dental School. Lona has been a dental assistant for over 25 years.
Sharon grew up in the Philadelphia area. After graduation she attended Delaware Valley Academy of Dental Assisting. She has worked as a dental assistant for 12 years and continued her education attending University of Pittsburgh for medical radiology. Sharon has extensive training in oral surgery and Orthodontics. Sharon has been with our office for 4 years.
