My name is Dick Koo. I am a native Californian having grown up in the central valley, graduating from University of Pacific and then receiving my dental degree from the University of California, San Francisco, School of Dentistry in 1985.
I immediately entered active duty in the United States Navy and proudly served as a lieutenant in the Navy Dental Corp at Great Lakes Naval Base and aboard the aircraft carrier, USS Enterprise, providing dental care for military personnel and their families. After the military, I settled down in the south bay in 1989 and have been providing dental care here since then.
The staff in our office are like a family and we feel that our patients are a part of our 'Family' too. We provide a comfortable, friendly, and clean place with new technology to help you with any of your dental needs. I stay informed and on top of what's new by attending continuing education classes and participating as a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Santa Clara County Dental Society.
Away from dentistry, I continue to support my two wonderful daughters as they strive to find success in the entertainment industry. In my free time, I like to putter around my garden, do volunteer work, cheer on my teams, and relax with friends and family.
I have worked in the dental field since 1989. Through extensive experience as the office manager, Ive had great opportunities to expand my knowledge in dentistry and better serve our patients. I have enjoyed working for Dr. Koo since 1997 and the best part of my job has always been getting to know the families in our practice. Its wonderful to watch the youngsters grow up to be adults themselves and bring in their own families for their dental care.
I graduated from San Jose City College in 1994 and became a Registered Dental Assistant the following year. I started working for Dr. Koo early in 2014 and have enjoyed meeting all of our patients and working with the staff. I am so happy to be a member of this dental family.
I have been in the dental field for over 13 years. I joined Dr. Koos dental team in 2016. I worked as a dental assistant for 5 years before returning to school to become a Registered Dental Hygienist, graduating from Carrington College in 2009. I find my work as a dental hygienist very rewarding. I love to share my dental knowledge and enjoy working with all patients, especially children. When I am not in the dental office I enjoy spending time with loved ones, working out, cooking, traveling and escaping to the family cabin in Aptos with my dog Chile.
I joined Dr. Koos dental team in 2016. I have over 15 years of experience in the dental field. I graduated from dental assisting school in 2001 and then went straight into dental hygiene school while still working part-time as a dental assistant. In 2003 I graduated with my AS Degree in Dental Hygiene from Foothill College and have worked in private practice ever since. I love treating and educating patients on all aspects of their oral health.

I always feel like family at Dr. Koo's office. No one likes going to the dentist but Dr. Koo and his staff are great. They keep you at ease and talk you through any issues or non issues you may have.

LOVE this dentist office. They have the latest technology and outstanding customer service. Everyone is very friendly and professional. They have an outstanding protocol for Covid-19 as well. This review for Dr.Woo and his staff is LONG overdue. If you have any hesitation on which dentist to go to do , i hope this review can seal the deal for you. I've been going to Dr.Woo since I was little, whatever ideas you have about customer service and patient care he truly blows out of the water. He takes time with every single patient, he is extremely knowledgeable about what he does, and him and his staff do an amazing job of making a dentist office feel like a home. Im notoriously known of being TERRIFIED of dentists offices (I know im not alone in that sentiment) but I'm never nervous when I have an appointment with Dr.Woo because the patient experience, the second you walk through the door is warm and calming. First his front desk is simply amazing, they are so polite and are doing a wonderful job following covid guidelines. Once you go to the back for your appointment, Dr.Woo or one of his staff is there to talk to you, make you smile and laugh and truly comfort you no matter what you are getting done. I'm not one to write reviews so I know that they have made a huge impact in the way I view dentists visits and patient care, i refuse to go to anyone else.

I had a wonderful experience on 2/4. My cleaning took a little longer because of new Covid-prevention protocols, but it was thorough and satisfying. Dr. Koo is very friendly, answering all questions in a practical and friendly way. I feel very comfortable here and have no hesitation in recommending this practice to everyone.
