DICE was founded with hopes of redesigning the patients dental experience. After completing a 3-year hospital-based implant fellowship and spending an additional 3 years as an associate dentist, Dr. Katie decided to open her own practice with the goal of reducing patient barriers to care. She picked her four favorite dental procedures (dentures, implants, crowns, and extractions) and built her practice solely around those items. By offering fewer services, DICE operates with less overhead than the typical dental practice and passes those savings onto our patients. And since Dr. Katie is always performing treatment that she enjoys doing, shes particularly relaxed and cheerful. This creates an ideal environment for patients and staff alike.

Having a 3D xray of your mouth is a game-changer. We use our conebeam to evaluate the health of your teeth and jaws. Dr. Katie will use it as a tool to make sure you understand everything thats going on in your mouth before you decide on treatment options together.
Our handheld x-ray machine is super low dose in radiation and gives instantaneous, clear pictures. We use digital xrays to help identify cavities, during implant surgery, and when were delivering crowns to make sure that the fit is picture perfect.
Patients love our digital impression taking capabilities. We take pictures of your crown preparations now, instead of the old fashioned goop. We also use digital impressions to show you whats happening in your mouth so you can understand your diagnosis.
Dr. Katie loves to meet new patients and design a plan to help them restore their smiles, chewing ability, and confidence. Since her mom is phobic of the dentist, Dr. Katie understands the importance of patiently listening to all of her patients hopes, concerns, and fears. After completing a hospital-based residency/fellowship at a Level 1 trauma center, performing dentistry in a nursing home, and treating special needs patients, Dr. Katie enjoys rising to the challenge of helping with anything her patients require (theres no need to ever feel embarrassed in her chair; shes seen it all!)

DICE is owned and operated by Dr. Katie Alger, a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Columbia University. After completing a residency and implant fellowship at Northwell Health on Long Island, she brought her talents back to Pennsylvania where shes called home for the last two years.
When Katie isnt thinking about teeth, she can be found spending time outdoors and spending time with family and friends. Her favorite activities include cooking, waterskiing, swing dancing, and hiking.
Coming from a long line of engineers, Dr. Katie inherited the tinkering gene. She doesnt just come to the office to do her job; she also often stays late playing with her latest piece of technology. She has a conebeam xray unit that helps her fully evaluate her patients teeth and surrounding tissues, a 3D printer, digital impression capabilities (no more goop!), and soon hopes to invest in her own milling machine. You can often find her exploring her artistic side as she designs her patients new smiles on her computer-based design programs. Our newest digital scanner is always exciting to use. Its super fast and accurate and even helps us color match your current teeth to your new teeth! Patients are amazed when they see this scanner in use.
For implants that are in a tight space or in difficult surgical areas, Dr. Katie will make a custom surgical guide. The surgical guide allows her to pre-plan your exact implant placement on the computer and then recreate that in your mouth.
Our most recently acquired piece of dental technology is the one were most excited for. With our in-house milling machine, we are able to totally control the quality and cost of your veneers, crowns, and implant parts. It also means faster turnaround time and a perfect fit of your crown, every time.

I think it's extremely rude for a Doctor to ask a patient if their parents didn't teach them how to take care of their teeth. I'm not sure of her name, but she was condescending and seemed to think it was professional to keep asking me over and over why I am missing my back molars. Just because an adult is missing some molars doesn't give you the right to make them feel uncomfortable and then expect them to drop thousands of their hard earned money at your establishment to get some help. No thanks will definitely be sticking with my regular dentist at Wallingford SmileMakers.

I can't say enough great things about Dr. Kate and her staff. They are Loving, caring kind, brilliant and absolutely great at what they do. Doc gave me my smile back. Haven't had a nice smile since I was 12. She fixed that and I'm forever grateful to her and her crew. Any cares or concerns just contact them and they will accommodated you ASAP. I was one of Dr. Wendy Song first patients at Dice Dental. I had one crown sized by Dr. Katie then another by Dr. Wendy. They were both next to each other so Dr. Wendy did the install for both crowns (next to each other - molars). A perfect fit. Her attention to detail and they way she explains is spot on and easy to understand. Her recommendations for future treatments were in the best interest of the patient. I will definitely be coming back to her for future needs. Everyone at this office is so nice and helping. Alice was a big help dealing with the insurance company. Julie was helpful with scheduling and directions. Katie was such a helpful and knowledgeable assistant. If you want girl power this is the place to go to. Welcome aboard Dr. Wendy. I broke a tooth and was so upset and nervous. Dr. Katie patiently explained all my options and helped me make the decision to get an implant. Now that I've had the work done I am so happy. I never would have gone forward with the work if I didn't have her to take so much time showing me x-rays and explaining the options. She is the best for any stressful dental situation!

DICE Dental delivers exactly what they advertise. Office staff is professional, yet welcoming. Dr. Katie is kind, caring, and most of all, skillful at both evaluating and communicating honest assessments of her recommendations. Procedures, costs and options are clearly presented. Office is clean and comfortable, and technology is state of the art. I highly recommend Dr. Katie to anyone who needs dentures, implants, crowns and/or extractions and suggest you see her for a second opinion before having costly procedures. I did and am grateful for the care I received.

I am a 225 Ex-Marine who is extremely uncomfortable in the Dentist's chair, For the first time I actually looked forward to going to the Dentist. Doctor Katie is excellent at what she does and the support staff is very friendly. I was very nervous and did not know what to expect, it was my first dental implant. The most uncomfortable part of the procedure was the Novocain. There are no hidden fees, DICE was upfront with the cost of the entire procedure. I would rate the service a 10++, i have recommended her to most of my frieds. Junior

My first impression when entering the office was, it is nice, clean ,staff are friendly ,helpful, state of the art equipment. Dr. K ALGER is friendly, straightforward how she is going to treat my condition , cost involve in full detail. I feel very comfortable that I am in her good hand. She gave me back What I have been missing all these years : SMILE, CONFIDENCE, and above ALL the QUALITY OF LIFE to enjoy all the food I love. So impressed with her work, I have referred a few friends to be her patients, in return my friend also brings their family member to see her it shows how my friend and I trust her service. It has been 6 months since I got my implant done, this COMMENT is OVERDUE that because I want to be sure time will tell if I am happy with it, but NOW I can be SURE my implant is a SUCCESS. The absolute BEST experience! Dr. Katie and her team were able to give me the smile I have always dreamed of. The entire process was so smooth and everyone at DICE dental was so nice and kind and made me feel comfortable every visit. I told Dr. Katie I needed my teeth done before my wedding and she was able to make that happen and they are perfect. I would absolutely recommend DICE dental!

I have had a lot of dental work done in the past and when I needed to find a dentist after my front teeth broke my husband said that I would Love Dr. Katie. He was right! Dr. Katie and her team were able to remove and replace my top teeth with implants at a price I could afford. I have just completed my last appointment and feel like I am leaving good friends. Dr. Alger may look young, but she demonstrates a surprising amount of expertise and kindness. She's clearly smart, having gone to Columbia and U Penn, and she's incredibly generous with her knowledge. She takes the time to explain all the considerations in your unique situation and provides you with the options you have to create that better smile. It's hard to find someone who's this compassionate AND this straightforward. Glad we moved into this neighborhood and came across her practice!
